That morning, Ryan and Alex did a morning run together.

All players arrived at Dignity Health Sport Parks Soccer Stadium as they will face Canada in the final group stage match for CONCACAF Nations League. After changed into their training kits, all players making their way to the pitch for warming up session.

The match begins with Canada kicked of the match.

7th minutes of the match;

The ball is with Davies. He then tried to sent the ball to Hoilett but Yedlin intercepts the pass and sent the ball to McKennie. McKennie then quickly sent the ball to Ryan. Ryan then checked around and saw only Lewis that was unmarked.

"Lewis is the only one unmarked and Ryan was now being approached by 3 opponent's players" said Tierna.

"What are you going to do now, Cursebreaker" said Alex.

Meanwhile on the pitch, Ryan sent the ball to Lewis. Lewis then shoots the ball but it's too weak as Borjan managed to save it easily.

"Ryan is being professional there" said Ashlynn.

"Well, I expect no less than that from a soccer crazy like him" said Tobin.

"Well, he even denied that he was tackled down during the match against Lazio before. I don't see any reason for him to act unprofesional" said Kelley.

Canada was awarded a corner kick. After the referee blew his whistle, Hoilett sent the ball into the penalty box before Bryan Scott hits the ball with a header but the ball hits the crossbar before went out of play.

27th minutes of the match;

The ball is with Miazga. He then sent the ball to de La Torre. de La Torre then quickly sent the ball to Pulisic. Pulisic then dribbled in with the ball before sent it to Ryan. Ryan then shoots the ball into the net to finally open the score for USA.

"THAT'S MY LITTLE BRO FOR YOU!" cried Alex.

"Those 2 are really a golden duo" said Rose.

"That's true. They understand each other so well" said Christen.

37th minutes of the match;

The ball is with Davies. He then sent the ball long to Hoilett. Hoilett then runs with the ball on the right flank before sent it to Millar. The Bayern Munich's forward then shoots the ball into the net to give Canada the equaliser they needed.

42nd minutes of the match;

McKennie with the ball. He then sent the ball to Ryan. Ryan then saw a large space that Lewis had. Therefore, he passed the ball to Lewis. Lewis then runs with the ball into the penalty box. Lewis then shoots but Borjan managed to catch it.

"What a weak shot" said Ibrahimovic.

"Yeah. I don't think Lewis is ready to play with them to be honest with those shots" said Serv.

44th minutes of the match;

USA was awarded a free kick 22-yards from the goal. After the referee blew his whistle, Ryan kicked the ball with a low shot passing through Canadian defensive wall. Borjan dived to make a save but it's a bit too late as the ball made it into the net for USA to take a lead once more.

"He's insane" said Jeri.

"That's true. He had played in Brazil, UK and Italy after all. His skills and the thinking way in this sport is not normal" said Jeni.

"Hmmpph, he will be better if I trained him" said Michael.

"Maybe but you chose to disown him. Now, he's doing great without help from his own family" said Jeri.

"That's true" replied Jeni. Later, the referee blew his whistle for half time.

In the dressing room;

"You save our ass there, Ryan. Your gameplay is great" said Adams.

"That's true. I'm surprise you can be a playmaker while played as a striker" said Pulisic.

"Well, I don't have much choice. I'm the captain after all" replied Ryan. Later, Ancelotti came in.

"Okay, boys. Listen up. For the 1st half, you played well but that's not good enough. So, I'll do a tactical change here. Lewis, you'll be subbed to Sargent. Morgan, you and Sargent will be my top 2 while Pulisic, I'll put you as the playmaker for the second half" said Ancelotti.

"But, coach. Why am I out?" asked Lewis.

"Your shot is weak tonight, Lewis. Everytime you got a chance, Borjan can save your shots easily. I'm telling you this. You better fix it or I'll pull you out from the squad" said Ancelotti.

Later on;

All players are back in their position on the pitch.

"Ryan is playing top 2 with Josh? Is it going to work?" asked Lindsey.

"I don't know. This is the first time ever I see them play together" said Tobin.

47th minutes of the match;

The ball is with Miazga. He then sent the ball to McKennie. McKennie looks around and saw Pulisic is cleared. Therefore, he passed the ball to him. Pulisic then runs with the ball before sent it to Sargent. Sargent that runs with the ball before shoots it the crossbar before Ryan sent the ball into the net with a bicycle kick to make it 3-1 for USA.

"I have a feeling that Josh kicked the ball to the crossbar is intentionally" said Christen.

"We can't said that for sure but maybe you're right" said Amanda.

67th minutes of the match;

The ball is with Kaye. He then sent the ball to Osorio. Osorio then runs with the ball before sent it to Bryan Scott. The Arsenal's forward then shoots the ball outside the penalty box. Steffen tried to make a save but failed as the ball hits the net for Canada's second goal.

78th minutes of the match;

The ball is with Yedlin. He then sent the ball long that reached Pulisic. Pulisic then quickly sent the ball to Ryan. Ryan then gave signal to Sargent which the Wolfsburg's forward just nodded before making a run. Ryan then kicks the ball to the crossbar before Sargent sent the bounced ball into the net before with a perfect header to give USA the 4th goals in the match.

"Okay, I'm sure now. They used the crossbar to make sure that the ball reaches their teammates" said Alex.

"Told you" said Christen. Later, Ancelotti made a change by taking out Ryan and sent in Tim Weah. After handed over the captain's armband to Pulisic, Ryan walked out from the pitch. The match ended with USA ends 2019 action by win the match with 4-2.

Later on;

Ryan and Alex sit by the pool with their sisters, brothers in-law and niece after they arrived at the hotel from the stadium with Liv sits on Ryan's laps.

"We're so proud of you today, Ryan. Not just your performance is good, you're also managed to be professional towards Lewis after what he did to you" said Alex.

"That's true. I thought for sure that you'll ignore the fact that he was unmarked and would not pass the ball to him but, I'm wrong" said Jeni's husband; Bryan.

"Well, I've built quite a good name for myself since the day I started as a pro player. I didn't want to spoil it just yet. Besides, I'm the team captain. I can't get personal stuff got through me in the match" replied Ryan.

"That's true. You're the best, baby bro" said Jeri. Ryan just smirked.

"By the way, dad still want to talk to you" said Jeni.

"And I am still didn't want to meet him. So, just let it to be" replied Ryan.

"You're just like Alex in term of hating people" said Serv.

"Well, she's the first family that I met. So, I got influenced by her first" replied Ryan.
