It had been 2 weeks since Ryan was sidelined due to his hamstring injury. He even has Jeri came to Milan to take care of him. After Alex told Jeni and Jeri about the injury, Jeri quickly book a flight to Milan.

"Seriously, sis. I can't believe that you came far away from California just to take care of me" said Ryan.

"It's okay, baby bro. It's not that I have other things to do after all" said Jeri.

"But still. Come here just to take care of me for few weeks" replied Ryan.

"Like I said, it's totally fine. Besides, I'm the only one that didn't had chance to spend time with you alone, right?" asked Jeri.

"So, how's things with Mal nowadays?" asked Jeri.

"We're good. But, she always busy nowadays" replied Ryan while put his head on Jeri's shoulder.

"Aww, you must be lonely then" said Jeri.

"Yeah. But I still have you, Jeni, Alex and Tierna to talk with. So, I guess I'm fine" replied Ryan.

"Good to hear that. So, what do you want to eat today? I can cook" said Jeri.

"Anything's fine as long as it's delicious" replied Ryan.

"Okay, baby bro. Your kitchen is mine for today" said Jeri. Ryan just chuckled.

Later on;

Ryan and Jeri went for a walk at a shopping mall after lunch.

"Do you have anything to buy, sis?" asked Ryan.

"Not really. I just want to look around. Milan is one of the fashion city in the world after all" said Jeri.

"Yeah. You're right about that" said Ryan. Later, Ryan received a FaceTime request from Jeni and Alex which he quickly accepted.

Ryan: Hi, sis.

Jeni: Hi, baby bro.

Alex: Boo, siblings date without whole siblings.

Jeri: C'mon. Give me chance to spend time with our only baby bro.

Ryan: Fine, I'll call her later on.

Jeni: Good. Anyway, Jeri. I'm expecting a souvenir from you.

Jeri: Okay, sis.

Alex: Anyway, I need to go now. Let's talk again sometimes.

Ryan: Bye. We love you.

Jeni and Alex: We love you too.

Then, they hung up.

"You and Mal are so complicated" said Jeri.

"Yeah. But, there's nothing I can do about it" replied Ryan.

"Don't you want to call her now?" asked Jeri.

"I don't know if I should. She might be mad at me" replied Ryan.

"Just try it" said Jeri. Ryan sighed.

"Fine" replied Ryan. He then make a FaceTime request to Mal. After a while, she accepted it.

Mal: What do you want?

Ryan: I miss you.

Mal: That's it? I thought that I already told you that I'm busy.

Ryan: Yeah, but that was few days ago.

Mal: So, what? If you have time to call me, why don't you use that time to recover as fast as you can since USMNT needs you in the match.

Ryan: I'm doing my best.

Mal: Maybe it's not good enough. Try harder and stop be clingy. I have my own life too.

Before Ryan can say anything else, Mal hang up.

"That's why I didn't want to call her" said Ryan sadly.

"Uggh, now I'm pissed off. You deserved better from her" said Jeri.

"It's okay. I have you by my side right now after all" replied Ryan.

"Aww, come here" said Jeri while opened her arm. Ryan then went to hug her.

"You know, I never though it's good to have someone to talk to. Until I met Pierre in high school, my friends at foster care, my U17 teammates and then my sisters. I already used to being alone after dad left me and my mom kept abusing me" said Ryan. Jeri then kissed Ryan's forehead.

"You've been through a lot, Ryan. Me, Jeni and Alex are so proud of you. You raised to the top without help from your family. You deserved to disown everybody including us; all your sisters but you didn't even blame us for what happen" said Jeri.

"How can I blame you when you're innocent. Besides, I can see how regret you are the first time we met. But, not dad. His eyes shown arrogance and the way he talk to me is like he just want to be part of my fame" replied Ryan.

"So, that's why you punch him straight on his face, huh" said Jeri.

"Yeah. I know it's wrong but it feels so good" replied Ryan. Jeri just giggled.

That night;

Ryan and Jeri were in San Siro to watch Copa Italia match between AC Milan and Frosinone.

"So, Frosinone will use Andrija for tonight, huh. Interesting" said Ryan.

"He's your teammate in the national team, right?" asked Jeri.

"Yeah. He's a good forward too" replied Ryan.

"But why did he played in Serie B?" asked Jeri.

"Well, because no scouts from the main division in Europe knows him. But, I'm sure if Frosinone managed to get promoted, he can attracts big clubs too" replied Ryan.

"While Milan is replacing your place with Jonathan Lewis, another American" said Jeri.

"Yes. Just hope he can handles this with his own way" said Ryan.

"Why, is he not himself lately?" asked Jeri.

"Yeah. He tried to be me lately. Not like how I copy other players' style to build my own, he just copy everything I did in the pitch. He will kill his own football style" replied Ryan.

"Well, maybe he desperated to make name for himself. So, he copied you" said Jeri.

"If he adds something to it suitable with his gameplay, I don't mind but the problem is he copying me without consider if that technic is suitable with him or not" replied Ryan.

"Have you ever talk to him?" asked Jeri.

"Yeah but he's not changed it" replied Ryan.

Meanwhile on the pitch, Milan is controlling the match. But they still can't score any goal. The combination of Piatek and Lewis seems bad as they are not in sync at the frontline as they failed to even shoot on target.

"Their combination is bad. They didn't play as usual" said Jeri.

"Told you so" replied Ryan.

Then, at the 2nd half, Pioli chose to take out Lewis and replaced him with Samu Castilejjo. Only then, Milan started to get on target shots. Milan goal came at 79th minutes of the match after Piatek shoots the ball outside penalty box while the 2nd goal came at 89th minutes of the match after Mihailovic heads the ball into the net from Cannon's corner kick to end the match with Milan won 2-0.
