Later on;

All players and the match officials walked into the pitch.

Later on;

The referee blew his whistle as the match started with Mexico kicked off the match.

7th minutes of the match;

The ball is with Bradley. He then passed the ball to Pulisic. Pulisic then runs with the ball before passed it through to Ryan. Ryan then shoots the ball from the outside of penalty box but the hits the crossbar before went out of play. Ryan just shook his head.

10th minutes of the match

The ball is with Guardado. He then passed the ball to Pizarro. Pizarro then runs with the ball before sent it to Jiménez. Jiménez then shoots the ball but Steffen managed to catch the ball.

25th minutes of the match;

The ball is with Cannon. He then overlapping with the ball before sent it to Ryan. Ryan then sent the ball through to Boyd. Boyd then shoots the ball but it went off target.

39th minutes of the match;

Mexico was awarded a corner kick. After the referee blew his whistle, dos Santos sent the ball into the penalty box before Antuna hits the ball with a header but the ball hits the crossbar before went out of play. Few minutes later, the referee blew his whistle for the half time.

"What a high intensity this match is" said Pinoe.

50th minutes of the match;

He then continued to make a run until he reached the penalty box before kicked the ball to the crossbar that managed to get players that marked Ryan caught of guard. Ryan used this chance to dash towards the ball before shoots it towards Ochoa's face. Ochoa quickly avoided it but then the ball entered the net to give USA an equaliser.

"Want to play cowardly? Ain't nobody got time for that" said Mal.

"Play cowardly and you'll get hurt, huh. If we used it against Sweden 3 years ago at Rio, we might won Olympic's gold medal though" said Pinoe. The rest just giggled.

90th minutes of the match;

USA gets a freekick 31-yards from the goal after Pulisic kicked the ball that hits Moreno's hand. Ryan checked on the wall and decided what to do. Then, the referee blew his whistle. Ryan then kicked the ball with a perfect curve shot. Ochoa tried to make a save but failed as the ball hits the net for USA to take a lead.

"Oh, yeah!" cried Alex as all women players cheered for Ryan's goal.

"Smartass. How can he keep his cool during time like this?" asked Ashlyn.

Few minute later, the referee blew his whistle for the full time. All American players, coaches and supporters celebrated as USA managed to retain the Gold Cup at their home soil.

Later on;

Ryan just lying down on his bed when he get a FaceTime request from Alex.

Ryan: Not really. The only reason why I am a captain for both semi-final and final matches is because Bradley just feels like he wants me as captain.
