"How long has he been out?" Splinter said placing a hand on donnies forehead

"Since we got him off that table meatsweats had him chained to" Leo said looking down at his twin carrying a worried look on his face

Raph sat on the other side of donnie in case splinter had ordered him to get anything to attend Donatello but he stayed silent as he continued to examine his resting son

"Mabey he was just tired?" Leo said looking up at raph who shakes his head

"There's no way Donnie would just fall asleep like that..especially while he's in the hands of someone who wants to eat him"

Mikey listened to his brothers out loud thought process while he watched his genius brother rest

He really just wanted Donnie to wake up already..so he could pounce on him, hug him, assure him he was ok

He didn't even notice the wet rag Leo had placed on the purple clads head..despite Donatello's state, his eyes squinted a little bit after feeling the cool rag on his head

Mikeys eyes shifted to splinter..who didn't share eye contact back, only staring down at his second oldest son in worry...splinter finally sighed and spoke "whatever this meatsweats did to your brother must have been impactful enough to leave him unconscious" splinter said looking up at his other three sons

"Well.." Mikey pauses before standing up "I'm gonna go make him some soup for when he wakes up" he finished getting a nod from his father and made his way to the kitchen

Mikey felt the tension on his skins as he began to prepare the soup, lightly stirring the hot liquid he couldn't stop thinking about the previous event, he stared down at his reflection and could see his shook face...

He suddenly got a chill up his spine and found himself speed walking to donnies location on the couch..and he stopped dead in his tracks when he noticed nobody else was in the living area but Donnie...

'They must've went to the dojo to discuss what they're gonna do' Mikey thought you himself...feeling a sudden urge he quietly walked over to his genius brother and sat beside him

Mikey looked down at his brother and with a bit of hesitation..moved his hands to one of donnies thighs

He knew he saw something.

Gently but swiftly..he lifted his brothers leg a bit and shit you not there Lied a deep purple, bluish bruise almost looking a teeth mark

Mikey examined it...was meatsweats interested in eating Donnie as he was? Even if so...why would meatsweats start here?

The thought almost made Mikey angry with himself for not even knowing what to do...was it there before meatsweats got him? Should he tell the others? Or should he wait until Donnie wakes up and ask him himself

The orange clad box turtle took his hand off his brother, getting ready to make his way back to the kitchen. But just when Mikey was about to get up he almost jumped out of his shell when the soft shell suddenly jolted up with a gasp for air.

The sudden action shocked both turtles.

"Donnie! Your awake!" Mikey threw his arms over his older brother to give him a tight hug. But the hug loosened when Mikey felt how Donnie was violently shaking, not to mention he was uncontrollably gasping as if he were underwater for a unpleasant amount of time.

"Donnie!" Mikey heard heavy footsteps, surely raphs along with the sounds of two more behind him

Mikey turned his head just in time to see raph, Leo and their pops rush over to his and donnies side,

Splinter signaled everyone to stay back while he remained close to his son

"Donatello." Splinter started, seeing his son make eye contact with his widened

"Dad..?" Donnie managed to choke out

Dad...

Only a phrase Donnie would use so rarely

Now Mikey KNEW something was going on.

Raph ignoring splinters last command, took a step forward and placed a hand on donnies shoulder

"Don..are ya good? Ya've been out for a while" Raph spoke not taking his eyes off his little brother, who was looking at the floor as if he was trying to process something

Raph could feel the tension in donnies muscle and he lightly messaged it

He spoke agian "Donnie...are you ok?" This time with a more stern tone. It wasn't until then that Donnie lightly jolted at raphs touch, causing raph to jump back a bit..taking him and everyone else by surprise.

"Woah, calm down bro, it's just us!" Leo said getting a little closer

"I know." Donnie said changing his position on the couch so now he was sitting with his legs crossed

"I'm ok..." he spoke again, taking it that his brothers were determined to ask the same thing

"Are you sure? You didn't seem like it when you were chained to that table...and when we rescued you..and when we first got you here" Leo said nearly making a list

"I'm positive.." Donnie settled his twins worry, looking up he continued.

"Meatsweats just numbed my body so I wouldn't struggle while he tried to...I dunno...eat me." Donnie said proceeding to try and stand up...but his legs felt like jello making him fall over again with raph catching him

"Woah..easy there buddy" Leo said, giving Donnie a pat on the shoulder

Donnie gently stood up again "Donatello. I think you should rest" splinter said placing his hand on his sons

Donnie made eye contact with his father hesitantly before nodding

With that raph picked Donnie up, carrying him to his room while the others followed and watched as raph laid him down.

Splinter took one more glance at his son before leaving the room with the others following him

Mikey stared at Donnie in worry as he left.
