Behind Locked Doors
There is a pair of doors
In my grandmother's basement
Which I know
Haven't been there at all before,
Dusty, scratched and bare
Light pink all over
They'd be anybody's nightmare
But they chose me
As prey
I feel strange
By these pieces of wood
I feel like I should
Open them widely
Like I should see
What they have in store for me
And there's this key
I always bring everywhere with me
I found it
On one of the library's shelves
I keep it on a chain
Around my thin neck
And I know it unlocks them
Somehow I just know
But I don't know
If I'll do it
Open the doors
Behind locked doors
Lie secrets untold
So let the mistery unfold
Let the doorknob let out
A silent vail of despair
Let the eyes spy
A glimpse of the horror
Let the secrets come out
Shameless and bare
But beware
'Cause who knows what's in there?
Truth is a bitch,
Karma is too,
So don't spare me,
Tell me everything you can,
And everything you have to.
So long and farewell,
I say
Before the darkness reaches me
These doors are like those
In my heart,
Only to be opened by the brave
Who are greeted by those
Who roam in the dark
Goodbye and auf wiedersehen
I say
Before I enter the doors' maze
For I don't know
Will it chew, bite,
Or simply eat me whole
Oh I don't know
Will I even die
All I know is I'll be inside
Adieu, my friend
Adieu
Don't let the doors
Get you too
