Marinette sat by the lake , tears streaming down her face for no reason. It had been a week - a week since she had come to know that Adrien was Chat Noir ,  a week since she had unforgettably hugged Adrien out of happiness,  a week since she had ran away from him , a week since he had been trying to talk to her and a week since she had been avoiding him to get her dreams and reality straight,  yet she couldn't believe , believe that it was reality , it was the sweet truth that the boy she had all her life crushing was the same boy she laughed herself without a stop in his other form.

And today , she was here , ready to face Adrien , waiting for him by the Eiffel Tower , their known favorite hang- out place.

A deep red blush crawled onto Marinette's face as she reminiscenced and rewinded all the memories she had made with Chat Noir , the unbelievable puns maker was Adrien,  who would believe that!

"Marinette "a small yet deep voice called out from the back , a sweeet sound echoing in Marinette's ear as she turned around upon his arrival.

Her face a tomato and he smiled cheekily as his happiness knew no bounds and no measure. He sat beside Marinette scooting closer to her , as Marinette stared at the still mirror- glass water to hide her blushing face.

"Where have you been ?" Adrien asks first,  his voice curious , but there's a hint of pain straining out .

" trying to figure myself out and to figuring out whether this was just another surreal dream " she spoke, her voice no more than a whisper , only audible to Adrien whose eyes seem to flash with something , something unpleasant - betrayal.

" why would you need to avoid me for that , you know right I lived day and night for the moment I would - " he asks, his tone a little hurt and pestered.

" - I know , for the moment you would find out who the girl behind the mask of Lady Bug was, but ... honestly , I needed to know this wasn't all a too sweet dream I was going to wake up from the moment you would tell me something , I was scared suddenly,  because that one boy who I crushed on since highschool and the boy I loved , I craved his attention for since ages and suddenly I am exposed to him , like I am getting all of his atrention out of nowhere , I 'm sure you feel the same way .."  she offers , her voice small yet loud enough to be heard.

Adrien glances at Marinette who is calm unlike his fuming self , he told himself,he was just over - reacting , but his insecurity made him angry and a loser, he feared that Marinette might run away from him .

After the blowing wind shifts between them , setting a tranquil silence,  Marinette 's eyes look upto Adrien's face , his eyes glistening with captivity,  like he was going through something unpredictable , and she decided to erase the large frown that has been sitting on his face.

Marinette gets up and takes Adrien's hand surprising him , and pulls him with her. It was almost dusk , like the silvering blues of the morning sky had turned to a crisp shade of red , along with hues of orange layering around the bright sun. The sky looks calm and even though the reds and oranges look so dark , it's serene to look at it .

She pulls him up along with her , tugging his hand from time to time and walked him to their sit- out on Eiffel Tower , the place they had made memories together as superheroes and now as their real selves

She sat down and motioned him to sit beside her , their legs dangling down from the steeled rusted bars of the tower as they faced the sun.

"Adrien you know, it's nice to know that , that the one handsome boy I loved since ages likes me back !"  Marinette beamed , a smile from ear to ear adorning her face and Adrien chuckled , a warm laugh coming  from him as he took hold of Marinette's hand , entwining their fingers.

" remember , how both of us had the same job to do when we were to  patrol , attend your party,  I was excited to see you , but then I see you with Cunning Chloe and bam , I felt left out and unhealed somehow,  also when they said about the damn engagement I swear I heard my blood boil . But what about it now ? "

" it's cancelled,  after she went missing on the engagement night ,
Mr.Bourgeois decided not to get her married to me , and I am happy for that " Adrien told and Marinette let out a breathe , her frustration now totally released.

"Forget that , it's useless anyway because Marinette I love you , a lot !" Adrien remarked a little pink coloring his cheeks and Marinette blushed .

" I love you too Adrien !"  She giggled , a beautiful voice belonged to her , thought Adrien , as both of them looked away from each other and towards the sky , now tainted in orange , the sun at its lowest and the peaceful sky flashed the most surreal sunset to watch.

Marinette leaned in towards Adrien , her head resting on his shoulder and Adrien's hands, one clasping Marinette's soft hand and the other around her shoulder .

And just like that , they had found love illuminating their hearts and their lives - a beautiful gift to cherish forever.

And here is the epilogue , even though I wanted to have like a very cool scene to write , I' m not  sure this was what I wanted , but I think telling the person your feelings for them under the pretty sunset is nice. And now this story is totally complete, they know who they are and they even have confessed their feelings , but just sometimes I might drop a bonus chapter , like maybe a fun first date or something else.
