Adrien blinked, slowly sitting up. He was in Marinette's bed. He hoped that this was a dream. It wasn't, he heard a soft groan from Alya who laid beside him. Blinking her eyes she looked at him, almost falling off the bed as she did.

"A-Adrien!" Alya yelled, shocked. Remembering what she had done she started to cry. "No."

"Wait, if we're here where's Marinette?" Adrien asked, looking around Marinette's room. "Alya?"

Tears fell down her cheeks, hugging her knees she slowly looked up to Adrien. "Marinette's...Marinette's gone."

"Gone?"

"Adrien, I didn't mean to, he-he made me." Alya cried, hiding her head in her knees. "Marinette's dead."

This hit Adrien like a brick wall, the love of his life was gone. Dead. Accidentally killed by her best friend who was under the influence of an Akuma, or Hawk Moth was more like it. He covered his mouth as tears started to form in his eyes. Just today he had learned that she was Ladybug, the person he loved and now, now she was gone. Forever. Never to come back. It would just be lonely Chat now. He hadn't noticed but the bell she had given him for them being together for one year was still tightly tied on his wrist. As if he had never taken it off.

He heard the ringing of a bell, almost like a real one but this came from a phone. On Marinette's desk. It was Adrien's since he had left it there. Alya's rang too. It was a notification of a new's report for her but for Adrien it was Nino. Just asking him if he had seen the news and where he and Alya had been for the past two days.

"Two days?" Adrien asked, looking at the text once more. "Alya, what's on the news?"

"It's-it's about Ladybug," she stuttered, "they say she's disappeared."

"So Marinette," he couldn't finish. Tears continued to fall.

Marinette sat in Adrien's - no - her room. Hawk Moth had agreed to let her stay at the Agreste estate since she was supposed to be dead. She had explored a bit of the house, staying clear of the windows in case anyone saw her. Gabriel had gotten rid of everyone, including Nathalie. Since Marinette was now part of his team she was the only person who got to stay. Everyone else left. Gabriel had said she could have Tikki but he would put cameras in each room so she wouldn't go sneaking off to go see Adrien or Alya. 

Tears rolled down her face as she held the little kwami in her hand. She had fallen asleep after eating a giant cookie Gabriel had said to give her. He was just as strict as she would of thought, maybe even a bit more. How was Marinette supposed to be Ladybug now? Especially now, after Gabriel, no Hawk Moth, had told her if she was to see Chat she would have to fight him. And she was the one supposed to deliver the Akumas now. So she would always be at the crime, everyone would think she had gone evil. But Adrien and Alya thought she was dead.

"Marinette," Hawk Moth knocked on the door, he at least gave her her space. "I've got someone."
