My Chance
Quinn watched as Lily put in the last stitch in her dress. She really couldn't believe the handiwork of the maids. The dress was gorgeous, though she wasn't sure that it would look good on her.
The dress itself was a navy blue similar to the color of the sky at night. The bright gold lace was the perfect contrast to the dark tone of the blue. The skirt of it fell all the way to the floor and pooled around the feet. It was skinny around the legs as well. She just hoped that she would be able to actually walk in it. The lace looked a little itchy too, she was all for comfort.
The maids dressed her, and she realized that she was wrong. The dress felt very silky and smooth. It fit her perfectly. She couldn't have thanked her maids enough. "Amazing....." she breathed out. After she got ready she began to write yet another letter to her family.
Dear brothers,
I have made it this far haven't you seen? I can't believe it. Everyone has been so nice to me and I hope to make friends with the selected ad well. It's crazy. My mind can't wrap around it. I've met with the prince on a few occasions, and he is very nice. I wonder what he thinks of all of this though. What's it like to be swarmed by so many people, which were strangers at first. He must feel so overwhelmed and pressure too. One of us are his future wife, the queen of Illea. I'm not sure if I could do that. I don't know if I can be someone that everyone can look up to. Maybe there is some sort of training or something similar. I'm much more then nervous, but the maids have encouraged me much. It's strange to have people serve you especially since we were made to serve. I have seen so many beautiful things here as well. The gardens are better then I have ever imagined. I hope the prince may I have heard the music I have played there. I must be going soon. I think of you all constantly. Please be safe.
Love, Quinn
