Artemis had just got home when her phone rang, she looked down at the caller I.D. Babs.

"Hey girl," She greeted.

"Wally's in trouble," Babs said and Artemis instantly moved upstairs to grab her Tigress uniform.

"What's happened?" Artemis asked as she readied herself for battle.

"Something's wrong with Dick," Babs explained, "He's taken Wally and Raven. Kori's following them, she's keeping me updated on their position. I'll text the group chat the location. I just thought I should phone you."

"Thanks," Artemis said, "See you soon."

She hung up the phone, grabbed her crossbow, and headed to the nearest zeta tube, awaiting the text. It came a few minutes later, they were at the mountain. 

She zetaed straight there and found the room completely dark. She quickly turned on the lights as everyone else arrived. Not just the team, but the Bat-Fam too. This was serious.

"Who comes here?" They heard the voice call and saw Dick come around the corner. Everyone did a double-take when they saw him. He had changed since rehearsal, not only did he have the manic smile but his eyes. They were a solid black and bleeding the same black magic that Raven had, "Well, welcome to the end of the world, my friends."

"Dick, where's Wally?" Bruce asked at the same time Jason exclaimed, "The end of the world my ass."

"Wally is helping," Dick said, "You mustn't disturb him."

"Yeah right," Artemis scoffed, "Where is he?"

"I'm afraid I can't tell you," He said, "As much as I value our friendship, this is more important. For this isn't our work, it's the work of higher forces. And we mustn't interfere with the will of hell itself."

Everyone just looked at him as if he'd grown an extra head, it was one of the most disturbing and confusing things they had ever seen.

"Dick, you need to fight this," Bruce tried, "Something's possessing you, you have to fight it."

"Fight?" His dark eyes suddenly seemed alight, "If you so insist."

He ran at us first, no fear on his face as he tackled Bruce and threw him into Steph whilst we recovered from our shock. He turned to Kori next, landing a punch under her chin before she caught one of his fists but quickly pulled away her hand with a hiss.

"Sorry, darling," Dick grinned, "When Trigon found about you, he gave me a special treat. You can't touch me unless I want you to," He turned around to duck just as Cass' foot went over his head and sprung out instantly as Damian brought down a sword where his foot had been.

"Damian, what have I said about swords?" Bruce scolded.

"Sorry not sorry," Damian grinned as he sheathed it again and went back at Dick.

During this Dick had managed to avoid the bolts Artemis was shooting at him, but in doing so had leapt straight into Babs.

"You hit me again today and you're going to regret it," She growled.

"Try to get in the way of my work and you leave me no choice," Dick replied, twisted and kneed her in the head, making her release him as he sent his elbow back into Kaldur's stomach and turned to face Conner. He quickly turned away from him and ran straight at the wall. 

Artemis just watched as he ran up the wall and leapt over the top of Conner, sprinkling what she could only assume was Kryptonite. She came back to her senses as he landed and shot some more bolts as he fought with Duke. But there were too many for him, and Bruce came up behind him and knocked him out.

"We need to find Wally and Raven," Tim said and everyone split up to search.

Artemis headed to Wally's old room first and eased open the door. Bingo. She saw him tied to the floor, ankle and wrist, with rope but he seemed awake and uninjured.

"Wally, are you okay?" She asked as she began to tie up the ropes.

"Don't, Dick will kill you," He said, his eyes filling with alarm.

"We've taken him down," Artemis explained, "And by we I mean literally everyone is here."

"Oh God," Wally breathed, "That sounds crowded."

"Come on, they're looking for Raven," Artemis said and the two headed to the lounge.

Everyone was already there with Raven, Dick had been put in a holding cell across the way and Terry and Katherine were on guard duty.

"What's happened to Dick?" Bruce asked the girl.

"It's hard to explain," Raven started.

"I've got the rest of my life, well second life," Jason said and Raven's eyes widened.

"Okay. Yesterday I lost control, my father got into my head," She explained, "I attacked Megan. Then Dick came, we fought for a while. Then, then I killed him," She looked up at the faces of everyone, a mix between shock and hate, "I tried to heal him but I couldn't fix his heart. My dad said he would, that he'd bring him back as a gift to me. I don't know why I thought it would be that simple. He must have interwoven his will into Dicks when he brought him back."

"How do we fix him?" Babs asked the teen.

"I ... I don't know," Raven said and there were tears threatening to spill, "I don't think you can."

Now everyone was staring at her, no way to fix him. Which meant he'd have to be locked up for the rest of his life. Either that or killed. Artemis couldn't bear the thought and gripped onto Wally, his hand snaking around her waist.

"I'm sorry," Raven got out.

"No point being sorry," Damian yelled, "You shouldn't have killed him."

"I didn't want to kill him-" She tried but Conner cut her off, "Then you shouldn't have."

Raven just looked up at everyone, it was Babs who spoke, "Get out," Her voice shook and Raven sent her pleading look, "Get out!" She screamed as tears broke over the edge.

No one tried to stop Raven as she ran.

"What are we meant to do?" Tim asked, "If we can't cure him..."

Everyone looked over to the cell where Dick was starting to come to again. He looked around at everyone's heartbroken looks and smiled.

"What are you smiling for?" Jason asked, "You're a tad tied up."

When Dick spoke it wasn't his voice that came out, but Trigons, "Maybe I didn't get the end of the world I wanted yet, but this was a delightful taster."
