*Rouge's POV*
"You better be on your best behavior, mister." I slapped Shadows shoulder once I saw his reaction when Amy said the triplets and Tails would be sitting with us.

"I am going on a date with him after school. Can you believe it? He is super cute!" Amy said happily as she grabbed a tray and started grabbing her food from the lunch line.

Oh Blaze, you played the long game with someone who is oblivious about it. You should have told her how you felt before she went to ask out Sonic.

"I will go eat somewhere else then." Shadow rolled his eyes at me, completely ignoring Amy. He usually did that. He never really cared about anyone else, but he had a soft spot for me that I always took advantage of. Perks of knowing him for so long and knowing all his secrets.

"No, you are not. Or I will show the girls the picture I took of you and your sister." I took out my phone.

"So? They know I have a sister." Shadow shrugged as he started picking his food as well as I did.

"They know you have a sister. They dont know you are now living with Vanilla. Plus, do you really want me to show them this picture?" I raised my phone to his face and showed him the picture I took of Shadow asleep on the couch while Cream placed a blanket over him. The picture was plain and simple, but it showed that Shadow had a soft side, that he could be calm and nice, something he refused to show anyone else.

Shadow tried to snatch my phone away, but I quickly dodged his hand and put my phone back in my pocket. "Fine." He gave in. "You are on thin ice, Rouge."

"Arent I always?" I chuckled and walked beside him to the table. The triplets and Tails were already sitting down with Knuckles, Amy, and Blaze. Amy was sitting between Blaze and Sonic, creating a rather uncomfortable aura around the table.

"Hey Rouge. Shadow." Sonic spoke as he took a bite off his sandwhich, his siblings greeted us as well as they ate.

"Wait, you have a date?" Manic asked as we sat down as he looked at his brother. "With who?"

"With me." Amy wrapped her arms around Sonics' arm as she smiled happily. "Would the movies be good?"

"Sure." Sonic nodded. He looked nervous, uncomfortable even.

"Rouge." I turned when Knuckles called me, I smiled at him and leaned a bit closer to him since he was sitting beside me.

"Yes, Hun?" We had been dating for the entire summer before this school year started, and he was still very nervous to sit with me or even be around me. Knuckles was hard-headed, and it took me to tell him how I felt for him to make the first move and finally ask me out. Our relationship was strange to others, but I found it rather fun at seeing him being so nervous with me.

"Did you want to go as well?" He asked as he looked down at his food.

"To the movies? Double date?" Amy asked out loud when she heard Knuckles. "Why dont we just all go? I dont mind."

"Are you sure you want to invite everybody? I thought it was supposed to be a date, not a hangout." Sonia asked as she poked at her food.

"Of course! It would be better, plus, Sonic and I just met. It would give us a chance to be more comfortable around each other. What do you guys say?"

"No." Shadow was quick to say as he took a bite of his food.

"Come on, Hun. I expect you there." I held Knuckles' hand under the table, making him tense up and look away. He almost moved his hand away, but he relaxed and held mine in return.

"And what if I dont go, Rouge?" Shadow rolled his eyes.

"Come on, you have to go, Shadz." Sonic said as he smiled. He looked like he wanted to push Amy away when she leaned closer to him. And Blaze looked like she was plotting for murder.

"Blaze, did you ever tell your crush how you feel about them?" I hummed, changing the subject, but I took out my phone and showed Shadow exactly what I would do if he didn't show up to the movies. He was a little too busy glaring at Sonic to notice until I was putting my phone away. He was going to show up. He had no choice.

Blaze tensed up at my words, then quickly stood up and threw the food away in the nearby trashcan. She then proceeded to walk away without saying a word.

"Wait, she has a crush on someone?" Amy asked, Sonics ears perked up.

"OHHH!" The triplets said in sync, then they laughed as they looked at each other.

"No wonder." Sonic mumbled with a low chuckle. "She'll be there, right? I could make this work."

"Wait. What?" Amy asked.

"She will be." I nodded. "I will make sure of it." The bell rang, and we all stood up, at least this lunch time Shadow did not try to fight Sonic. It was progress.

"I will meet you outside of your class at the end of the day." Knuckles said as he let go of my hand when he stood up.

"Okay, handsome. I will wait for you." I leaned closer and kissed his muzzle, turning his muzzle to match his fur color. He cleared his throat and then walked away, meeting with the rest of the wrestling team.

"He's so annoying." I looked up to see what Shadow was talking about as we passed by Ms. Vanilla and Mr. Vector.

"You still on that? Sonic didn't -" He stopped me.

"I meant the teacher Vanilla is seeing. But that Hedgehog is annoying, too. I  have to pick up Cream after school. I am not going to some movie with people I dont even like." He rolled his eyes as we walked down the hallway.

"Yes, you are, dont you want to see what's going to happen?" I asked as I looked ahead of us. Amy had her arms wrapped around Sonics' arm as they walked. He looked ready to run away. "Whats up with him?"

"His last relationship didn't end up well." I turned to see Manic walking beside us. "Sonic didnt want to date anyone for a while after that so when he accidentally agreed to go on a date with Amy, he realized hes stuck and he is now scared something bad is going to happen. "

"Will you stop talking about Sonics secrets?" Sonia punched his brothers shoulder.

"It is not a secret, Sonic would tell them if they asked. I think. Oh, well. Too late." Manic shrugged. He raised his hand as he revealed a watch, and then he put it on.

"Stop stealing stuff!" Sonia whispered to him angrily. I like Manic, we will definitely get along.

"Great, another you." Shadow said sarcastically and started walking ahead.

"What happened with Blue and his ex?" I asked curiously.

"You should ask him." Manic hummed then went inside his clasroom. I followed right after.
