*Amy's POV*
"So he seems to be making you really happy." I walked beside Lucy down the halls of the school.

"He is. It's still a bit strange, though. I am too shy for him, and he is very outgoing." She explained. We continued walking, she carried some library books in front of her with one hand and a small brown bag with pastries on the other hand. She always brought pastries for us, but recently, she made them for her and Spike to share them together in the mornings. It was cute. "I'm not used to it."

"What do you mean?" I asked, confused as I glanced through every hallway and classroom, hoping to spot Blaze. I hadn't seen her this morning.

"Well, he is always waiting for me outside my classes so he can walk me to my next one. He's always carrying my backpack and books. And it must be heavy for him because I like to read a lot so I have my school books and about 4 books from the library every time. I'm shy, and he's outgoing and drinks, I am more reserved. I mean, did you know his scar is because he got into a fight over a beer? But he makes me very happy and treats me like a princess." I smiled at her and quietly laughed.

"It seems like there's no problem at all. You're just not used to -" I gasped when I suddenly bumped shoulders with someone. Lucy quickly caught me.

"Silver! Wait!" It was Blaze, and she kept on running after Silver until she stopped in front of Mephiles. She shoved Mephiles. "What did you do to him?" Lucy and I gasped and ran towards her after Mephiles left running.

"What's going on?" I grabbed Blaze's hand to stop her when I saw she was about to chase after him.

"I'll tell you about it later. Help me find Silver." She said, and I nodded, we were about to go after him, but Blaze stopped me and pecked my lips. I instantly blushed, and my mind went blank for a second until she started running, and I went after her.

"Where are you going?" Rouge expanded her wings in front of us to stop us from going inside the library.

"Let us through. He's going to hurt Silver." Blaze tried to get past Rouge, but Rouge didn't budge.

"I don't think that's what Mephiles was planning on doing, Hun." She folded her wings back. "Why dont we just wait out here and see what happens."

"I can't just -"

"I know Silver is your best friend, but Mephiles wouldn't have acted the way he was if he was planning on hurting him. So why don't you tell me what's going on?" She leaned against the wall, revealing Shadow behind her.

"I would like to know as well." I finally spoke, reaching for Blaze's hand to keep her calm and in place. The anger in her eyes finally vanishing as she looked at me. She took in a deep breath and nodded, then explained.

"Did you see them?" We looked at the library doors when they opened. Half expecting to see either one of them come out, but instead, it was Sonic and Tails. "Were they?"

"Yes. They were." Tails pinched the bridge of his nose.

"Oh! Hey guys! Blaze, I'd go stop your best friend from being caught by a teacher if I were you." Our ears perked up when he said that. We all grew curious, except for Shadow. We all ran in and took a look.

"Silver!" Blaze half shouted from the door, in shock at seeing Silver making out with Mephiles while being pinned to a bookshelf. "Are you crazy?"

Silver quickly pushed Mephiles away, his face completely red. He covered his face and quickly ran away. Running past us, I let go of Blaze, and she ran after him.

*Sonic's POV*
"Well, there he goes." I chuckled after I saw Silver running away. He looked completely embarrassed, which was understandable. "Hey Shadz. What's up?" I wrapped an arm around him like I usually did.

Shadow had his arms crossed against his chest as he waited for Rouge to come back. "Let go of me, Hedgehog."

"You really got to smile, edgelord. Are you actually this grumpy when Cream is around?" I poked his muzzle, causing him to grab my wrist and squeeze tightly. I hissed in pain. "Okay. Okay. Okay. You can let go now."

"Don't bring her up again." He threatened as he let go of me. I let go of him as well, then moved a step away from him.

"Geez. You're crazy." I chuckled softly and then moved my wrist around to make sure it was okay. The bell finally rang, and we all started walking to our homeroom class. 

"Sonic the Hedgehog?" I turned around when a teacher called out my name.

"Uh? Yes?" I asked, confused.

"The principal wants to see you in his office." She said, then walked away.

"What? I didn't even do anything this time. This is ridiculous." I sighed and was about to start walking away when Shadow grabbed my wrist again.

"Don't go." He said, his serious tone there as usual.

"I'll be in even more problems if I don't go." I pulled my wrist away. Tails had already walked past me and gone inside the classroom. "Look. I'll be okay. I'll keep an eye out and make sure he doesn't try anything. You ain't got to worry about me, Shadz."

He scoffed and let go of me. "I'm not worried about you, Faker. I'm worried the doctor will get his hands in your power."

"What could he possibly want ny power for, anyways?" I shrugged, then started walking towards the office. "I'll see you at lunch!" I left, glancing back only when he walked inside the classroom.
