Chapter 3

Okame shoved his hands in his uniform pockets. "Who the hell is she?" He pointed back at Compass walking off.

Maxie gave a grumble, "Compass Golde, she practically rules the prison." He explained. Okame glanced back at her,

He straightened, "so....does she rule you?" He snorted, Maxie's eyes widened.

"Wha-no!" He shot back, his face flushing furiously.

Okame grinned, "what is it? Someone have a crush?" Maxie retaliated, a partial disgusted look on his face.

"Once again, no." He replied firmly, Okame nudged his cell mate.

"You gay or somethin'? Don't worry I won't tell." He smirked, Maxie narrowed his eyes.

"I'm not gay." Maxie scoffed, shoving Okame away roughly. Okame straightened his uniform, then following Maxie.

Sage trailed behind the two, "he's Pansexual." She whispered to the shorter male. Maxie stiffened,

"Sage! Traitor!" He whisper-shouted. Sage emitted a hysterical laugh as she ran off, flipping the two off as she went.

Okame turned to Maxie with a smug grin, "so...Pansexual?" He furrowed a brow. Maxie gently ran a hand through his hair.

"Yes...I'm Pansexual." He sighed hopelessly. Okame walked on ahead, Maxie sped up his pace to catch up.

"Good to know." Okame looked forward, Maxie grimaced. Negative thoughts of worry and anxiety clouded his head. He flinched, then making a split decision as he snatched Okame by the collar of his shirt. Maxie threw Okame on a nearby wall, pinning him to it as the larger male trapped Okame. "What the hell, asshole?!" Okame spat.

"Tell anyone, and I'll beat your puny ass." He threatened with a scowl. Okame narrowed his eyes.

The shorter male managed to kick the other away, walking off. "Do that and it'll further my suspicion that you're gay. Plus, I wasn't even going to tell anyone anyways." He scoffed, Okame dusted off his uniform.

Maxie tilted his head slightly, "alright. Then why are you walking around with that shit-eating smirk?" He challenged. Okame scoffed, turning around and looking back at his cell mate.

"Oh, Maxie come on, I always walk around with a 'shit eating smirk.'"Okame grinned. Maxie rolled his eyes,

"Hey smart-ass, it's gym-hour, gym is that way." Maxie pointed over his shoulder at the opposite direction. Okame went back to walking, not bothering to turn to look back at the other.

Okame snorted, "yeah? Well, Destiny is that way." He pointed in the direction he was heading off to. Maxie muttered a few words from under his breath, striding off in the opposite direction. Okame grinned and darted off towards his destination.

Okame peered past the walls, glancing at two guards that had been occupying a room. Yellowstripe and Winter. Okame frowned. How am I gonna do this...? He walked out from his hiding spot.

The two officers stiffened, holding out their weapons. Okame didn't flinch as he merely crossed his arms. "Bonjour, my cellmate has accidentally pissed in his drawers. Care to lend a clean pair?" He smirked, charging towards Yellowstripe as he swept the male officer down to the ground, a loud crack being sounded. Okame winced, "ouch." He looked down at Yellowstripe, then turning to face Winter as she aggressively shoved him against the wall.

The cop fished for her communication device, Okame elbowed her in the jaw, instantly pushing her backwards into the wall. He quickly retrieved some wet clothing from the washers. Then saluting the officer, "Merci beaucoup." He grinned, Winter growling ferociously as she stood up, dashing after the inmate.

"Oi, dickhead!" Winter snapped, Okame threw a yell over his shoulder in response.

"Yeah?" He called back, steering his body around to face the officer, the two out of their pursuit and more in a stance of confrontation. He tucked the stolen clothing under one arm, "we throwin' hands now?"

Winter scoffed, "we already started that a while back. Be sensible and back down, before you get in more trouble." She warned, Okame gave a scoff, his lips curling upwards in amusement.

"Winter, for the singular day I've been here, you should know. I love trouble!" The small male grinned, he swiftly turned around,  uppercutting Yellowstripe in the jaw as the officer approached him. He kicked down on Yellowstripe's knee, the other groaning in pain as his leg bent in an awkward position.

Okame elbowed, hoping to catch Winter in the gut. Winter managed to dodge Okame's strike, maneuvering to the side as she caught Okame's head with a ridge hand. Okame let himself go with the movements, rolling as he popped up on his legs once more. He did his best to not appear dazed despite the cop's powerful strike. He eyed the clothes that he had dropped mid-shoulder roll.

He gave a small frown, still ready for any action, "oh look Winter, you made me lose my prize." Winter narrowed her eyes.

"It's going to be a lot more than your prize that you're going to lose." She challenged, Okame let his eyes dart down at the laundry. Then surveying his surroundings. He came to realize that there was a slim chance he was to win this fight if he wanted to obtain the stolen laundry once more. He took that risk.

Okame barreled forwards, snatching the laundry in his grasp. He tucked his head in too late as Winter too stepped in, taking Okame by the neck and slamming him to the floor before he was done with his roll. His breath caught in his throat as he was forced down suddenly, sprawled out under Winter as she held him down in her grasp.

The prisoner's right arm reached across to twist Winter's wrist, causing her to shift and loose balance as Okame swept under her feet with his legs, causing her to land in a side break fall. She hissed as she held her wrist. Of course, Okame couldn't help adding a tint of his cold aggravating 'charm' he gave a salute to the hurt cop as he picked up the rest of the laundry. "Bon voyage!" He chirped.

His face clashed with cold wall as Yellowstripe forced him headfirst into the closest one nearby. He handcuffed Okame as he sent him over to officers just arriving to the scene.

"I hope we are not too late!" One of the officers, Glitch, frowned. Glitch had a tough reputation, but it seemed as if he would constantly seek approval from his fellow cops.

Winter grimaced, sluggishly rolling around her hurt wrist a few times. Trying to wear down the pain. "Oh, you're just fine." She sighed. "Send him to solitary confinement. Put him in there for 1 or 2 days. I don't get paid enough for this shit." Winter feebly waved the others off as she held the reclaimed clothing back, Yellowstripe reporting to the hospital wing for his potentially fractured leg.

"Fucking idiot." Maxie muttered to himself as he continuously flipped through the page of Okame's files. Nothing new appearing and no questions answered.

"If he was legitimately intelligent, he'd stay out of trouble." He gave an exasperated groan. He continued scanning Okame's files, slouching on his bed as he intensely read the paper. He gave a loud annoyed sigh, tossing it aside as he fell back onto his creaky cell bed.

He jerked his head upwards, "you good?" Okame stood before him, genuinely concerned as he had his hands crossing his chest and one eyebrow cocked.

Maxie slowly sat up, "why do you care?" He grimaced, seeing no reason for Okame to be sympathetic. The man was all for murder and violence. Okame blinked, deciding to go for a more snappy response instead of one that may of benefitted both sides and made them closer.

"Because I don't wanna listen to your angry mumbling and groaning for the next 2 days." He retorted, in the same 'genuinely worried' tone from before.

Maxie narrowed his eyes, "you don't even know me. You wouldn't know what I'll do. Especially if you keep up with this...childish shithead attitude."

Okame held up one hand, as if to say 'calm down' despite him being the one aggravating Maxie in the first place. The navy haired male shrugged, "First of all, not a child-" he started.

"Didn't call you one." Maxie corrected, gritting his teeth.

"And I don't care. Still not a child, anyways, I don't know you. But, I know things about you." He inquired, swinging his legs on the side of the bed as if he were a school kid impatiently waiting for the clock to hit the time to go to lunch.

"You're so annoying." Maxie rolled his eyes, curiosity peaked, but knowing that Okame wouldn't come close to answering them. Why he knew of Maxie's name. How he might of have reacted. And who Okame was in general.

Okame hummed, "thankssss." He clicked his tongue. Maxie held his head in his palms.

"Anyways, how did you get out of solitary confinement? There's no way someone just...forgot to lock the door. I had heard of the problems you made, with the laundry and all. Made all the guards send the prisoners back to their cells so no one escaped during the shenanigans you were causing." Maxie looked up at his cell mate, his purple eyes meeting sky blue ones.

"I found a way out." Okame nodded. "I'll show you next time you get into your buff dude fights, then we can be partners in crime." He suggested, half in amusement and half in seriousness.

Maxie gave a huff, letting himself smirk a bit. "In your dreams, you want more dirty work and crimes, just go back to your midget man partner, Tommy." The tall male reminded Okame of his previous partner.

Okame gave a chuckle, for once to Maxie's surprise. It's odd how human Okame could seem sometimes. He would hurt people in cold blood, but at the same time, his eyes held emotion for others. Care, sympathy, amusement, like any other human.

"Oh yeah, the clothing. What were you gonna do with all that?" Maxie pressed, Okame rocked side to side, content.

"Easy, escape." Okame answered in simple words. Maxie raised an eyebrow, finding it odd how willingly Okame was answering his question.

Okame opened his eyes, looking at the other navy haired prisoner. "Enough of your questions, Mr. Black, I've been wondering. Your last name is 'Black', Compass' is 'Golde'. Does everyone here have...shade and color related names?" Okame questioned, a smirk peppering his lips.

"Of course not, dumbass." Maxie barked, leaning forward as he gave a grin.

"Just making sure." Okame shrugged. Silence invaded the room for a while, filling both of their ears, even their neighboring prisoners quite as the silent aura colored the air. "Maxie, if we were to escape, would you escape with me?" Okame asked. Maxie thought about it for a moment.

"I don't know," he shrugged. Okame had been a pain in the ass, simply being his cellmate. Being his escape partner was an entirely different role, and he wasn't sure how Okame or himself would execute working together. The most they've done is slept in the same room. "Why are you even in here? You should be in solitary confinement, it's probably gonna cause a lot of chaos amongst the officers if they found out you got out."

"Fun to freak them out." Okame simply stated.

Maxie gave a mixture between a huff and a bark of laughter, "that's fucked up." Okame muttered a few words, then turning over on his bed to lie down.

This guy is so weird. Maxie sighed, lying down and looking at the wall near his bed. He can be really smart sometimes, but he can have the sensibility of a two year old the next second. He ran a hand through his hair.

What's with him?
