Natsu walked into the room and sat at a chair close to her bed. His gaze was kept on the sheets, not daring to look at her face. At least, not yet.

He was shaken up, he wanted to hold her hand, but he hesitated so much. His hand came closer and as he was millimeters away from colliding them, his hand fell and dropped between his thighs.

He just couldn't bring himself to do it.

"Uh.. I know you can't hear me right now, so I'm kinda more brave to say it.." he took a deep breath and without second thought, interfered their fingers together.

"I-I'm very sorry for letting you do this. I should've been there, I should't have leave you and I definitely should've listened to your side of the story before judging how you felt.." his grip tightened as his eyes weren't visible because of his bangs.

"The truth is, I don't think I'm brave enough to tell you this face to face, but I.. I do miss you, so much.. I miss everything about you, I miss the sparkle you once had in your eyes, I miss hearing your voice and I miss how we spent our time together... I-I just.. I really miss you Luce.. I hope you wake up soon so I can tell you all of this again.." he finished with a sad smile, his body slowly bended down to place a kiss on her hand, as he did so, his forehead rested on it for a short amount, too.

"I have to go, but I'll be back.. I swear." He spoke and walked away. On his way, he turned his head back a little to look at her.

She wore an oxygen mask, her breathing was slow and steady. She wore green pajamas on a white bed. Her face didn't look like she was in pain, and for a single second, it made Natsu feel at peace. She looked like she was sleeping, that was reassuring enough.

"Ngh.." Lucy sobbed in her sleep as the red line on the monitor began acting weird. Her heart rate was way above normal. It was literally beating out of her chest.

Nurses and a doctor rushed in checking her. One of the nurses changed the vitamins in infusion bottle into meds to calm her heart down, as the medication went into her blood she calmed down.

After the fuss finished, all nurses sighed in relief, but the doctor did not. He knew why this happened and he knew this was going to end up bad. He looked at Lucy with sympathy before walking out.
