i changed the title and the cover for this book just cause i thought it suited the theme better. and i'm kinds proud of how the cover came out not gonna lie.

"Say, Natsu.. how do you feel?"

Few weeks passed after an incident with Natsu's arm had happened, Wendy managed to heal it and now it's only a minor scar.

"I'm okay, why do you ask?" He asked while glancing down on his scar. It looked healed, and in his eyes, it represented as another cool story to tell.

"Well.. I was just curious," she blushed slightly. A blush anyone could see, only our beautiful and dense Natsu Dragneel could not.

- later with Natsu -

"Oi! Dickhead!" A husky voice yelled from a dark alleyway, Dragon Slayer turned his head towards the voice to see no other than Rogue.

"What is it?" Natsu asked with a frown.

"How is our bet going?"

"Bad. I want to quit!" Dragon Slayer shouted and pinned the dark haired boy against the wall in a threatening position.

"Both you and I know you can't quit! You agreed to this and accepted there's no turning back!"

"You don't understand! She won't be able to get over it this time! I'm scared she'll... never mind that! You already made me leave her once, don't make me do it again!" Natsu shouted while tightening his grip on Rogue's neck.

"You're very aware of what will happen if you let me down, Dragneel!"

"I'll kill you!! How can't you process that she's already damaged enough?! She doesn't need this!!" He defended.

"Do it or else..." Shadow Dragon Slayer threatened as Natsu was forced to sigh and let him go. Oh, how much he wanted to kill him... he wanted to make his death slow and painful.

"Just... give me one more week. I'll cook things up between us and then do it," he said, defeated.

"Fine. But only a week!"

They exchanged nods with mixed emotions behind each before walking off.

"Luce!! I'm back!" Natsu ran through the door and tackled poor blonde into a bone crushing hug.

Lucy had confusion written all over her face, but she still wrapped her arms around him, pulling them closer to one another.

"Natsu? Are you okay?" She asked with worry in her voice. Natsu only tightened his embrace.

"I'm fine, just felt like hugging you..." he said and slowly let the blonde breathe again.

"You know you can tell me anything, right? If you just need someone to listen, I'm always there. I will always be there for you..." she smiled kindly and closed her eyes in the process.

Natsu's eyes slightly watered from her kind gesture.

Don't do this, Luce... you're only making it harder for me...

He quickly whipped his face and stepped closer to the blonde. She was taken by surprise from his sudden movement.

"Um... Natsu?"

She looked into his onyx eyes, they looked hypnotized. She wanted to look away but couldn't. Something about him made her not be scared or uncomfortable by eye contact.

His eyes closed as his face got closer. She slowly took a step back, but realized she was just behind a cold wall.

His one arm was placed on her waist, pulling her closer to him while the other hand made contact with her blushing cheek. Her lips slowly parted without her realizing it just as her eyes closed.

Finally, he closed the gap between them and brushed their lips together. It felt like magic, but more beautiful. Lucy's arms were wrapped around his neck and she subconsciously kissed him back. It felt like a storm and peace at the same time. Something neither of them has ever felt before.

After a shirt amount of time both if their bodies needed oxygen. Their huffed faces parted as they looked deep into their souls through their eyes.

Natsu's guilt ate him from inside out, a heavy feeling sat on his gut. He felt as if he was lying or being not genuine with her but he still wanted to cherish this moment with Lucy.
