Just to mention up front, Lisanna is not a bad character in this story and she doesn't deserve hate

"What now? What now? What am I supposed to do now?!" Natsu stepped in circles, a frown on his face. He had no idea what to do or how to help Lucy.

He sat on a chair close to Lucy's room, not being able to get in just yet. The doctors are in at the moment and they clearly stated that entrance wasn't allowed.

Natsu put his face in his hands, losing himself deep in thought. His mind loaded with flashbacks of his friendship with Lucy.

- some time ago -

"So, Luce.. how are you?" Natsu asked, they were both sitting at her house, talking about their problems and stuff.

"Who? Me? I'm okay, don't have any problems.." she blurted out, Natsu saw through her lies in less then a second, but he didn't want to say anything. Maybe she just wasn't ready to tell him...

"Please, Luce, you have to tell me what's wrong! You can't continue suffering like this! Especially not alone!" Natsu yelled in desperation as he saw Lucy breaking down in her bathroom.

Even though he asked million times, she still insisted on the fact that she was alright. That was the moment when Natsu snapped.

But he didn't snap in a way he started shouting and stuff. He snapped in a way that he began drifting away from their friendship, not realizing what that would do to Lucy.

"Right.."

She doesn't trust me.. that's why she doesn't tell me anything anymore.. Natsu thought, his heart broke from thinking like that, but that was the only thing that made sense.

"Hey, Natsu!" White haired girl yelled as she came running towards the pinkette.

"Hey Lis, how are you?" He said, hugging her back.

"Not that good, I had such a bad day, wanna hear about it?" She said. Natsu's eyes slightly widened, she wanted to tell him about her day?

Lucy never did that, she always kept that to herself.. Natsu thought and smiled at Lisanna.

"Of course!" He said as they walked off.

Even though Lisanna told him about her bad days, she never bothered asking him about his.. sure, she asked him if he was okay and when he answered 'not really' or 'i'll be fine' that was it.

At that time the two of them already began dating, and he didn't talk to Lucy in weeks, he felt somehow alone..

"Merry Christmas, Natsu"

Natsu turned around at his name being called, and he saw her.

Her blonde hair he missed so much..

Her smile that was rarely seen on her face anymore.

Her whole appearance, he missed her.

But,

He didn't forget his feelings.

"Merry Christmas.." he said and walked off, his anger raised as he remembered their relationship back then.

He didn't want to walk off, not at all, but he needed to.

She hurt him as well.

- back to reality -

"Sir Dragneel.."

"..."

"Sir? Sir Dragneel!" The doctor yelled a bit, snapping Natsu out if his thoughts.

"Y-Yes?"

"You can see your friend now.. she's stable, but asleep so try to stay as quiet as possible," the doctor explained.

"When is she going to wake up?"

"We.. do not know.. it could be days.. or even months, her body reacted to the pills in a way that put her in stage of coma. She will wake up, we just do not know when, so you don't have to worry.." Natsu nodded in understanding and walked in.

Before Natsu's feet stepped into Lucy's room, he stopped for the moment, taking a breath in.

"Luce.." he breathed and walked in.
