"Quickly! What's wrong?!" The doctor from a month ago yelled. He was carefully studying Lucy's condition for a while, and he wasn't happy with results.

"M-My... insides.. ahh!.. stomach... burns!!" Lucy screamed as she was pouring sweat. The nurses tried not to panic, but it was damn hard.

"What do we do, doctor?" Asked the main nurse with glasses and ashy blonde hair tied up in a bun. The doctor looked at her and shook his head in disappointment. Nurse looked at him with shock written all over her face.

"W-What..?" She questioned and looked at poor girl before her as she was shaking and groaning in pain, holding back her screams.

"Unfortunately, we can't do anything. Her body is refusing every medicine we give her. The overdose didn't help with that as well.." he explained while Lucy stared at him, clenching her stomach.

Does he know..? She questioned in her mind.

Suddenly, her mind turned off. She couldn't take it anymore so her body gave up the fight, she passed out. All nurses and a doctor looked at her motionless body. Doctors eyes moved to the main nurse and gave her the signal to come with him somewhere private. She nodded and followed.

After nurses came out of the door, Natsu was finally able to enter Lucy's room. She was asleep, but not nearly peaceful as before. She looked like she was having a nightmare or maybe, her pain followed her into her unconsciousness. Her eyes were tightly shut, her mouth held a frown and her hand was gripping on the pillow under her head.

Natsu walked over her and placed his hand on her forehead, she was hot but not in a way of having a fever. There was just a lot going on her mind.

He sighed as that was the only thing he was capable of doing. Soon after just sitting beside her and watching her with an uneasy expression, she began shivering. There was a hospital sheet over her but as if that would make anyone warm.

Noticing her state, Natsu didn't think twice before climbing into the bed with her, wrapping his arms around her waist and glancing at her face. She began clenching on his vest in attempt to ease her fears.

"Ngh.." Lucy cried out and lowered her head, biting her lip in process. Natsu stroked her golden hair, it took him a while to calm her down but he managed in the end.

As Natsu held Lucy, his mind drifted into thinking about their friendship.

He remembered how much he loved sleeping next to her, just cuddling with her nothing more, nothing less. Just the feeling of her being near was enough for him to be completely vulnerable.

Every time he couldn't sleep in his house, he would come to Lucy. She would never be mad at him, even if he happened to come at 3am. She would accept him and let him hug her as much and tight as he wanted to.

How could he let go of someone as amazing as her. Lucy was the kindest person he ever met, she was the one who would listen to him whenever he would need it, she was the one who gave him comfort at difficult times.. and what he did? He walked away from her. He left her. A tear slipped from his closed eyes as he gritted his teeth, he just now realized how much of an idiot he was.

Natsu pulled her closer and swore to himself that he would make everything right, they will be close as before.

"What did you want to talk about, Tony?" The nurse asked the doctor as they walked into an empty operation room.

"Susan, that girl from the room 177.. I don't think things will end up well with her, you know what happens to the people that try to overdose, don't you?" The doctor asked with troubled eyes.

"Yeah, they have huge problems with their bowels in the future. Chest pain is possible and can be caused by heart or lung damage. Shortness of breath may occur. Breathing may get rapid, slow, deep, or shallow. Abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting are possible. Vomiting blood, or blood in bowel movements, can be life threatening. And a specific drugs can damage specific organs, depending on the drug." She said as Tony nodded in agreement.

"Exactly, but she just made things more life threatening then they were already."

"What do you mean?"

"She has lung cancer.."

And just like that, her secret was out.
