Behind Closed Doors [4]
*Flashback to June 1991*
-Aaliyah's POV-
"I just want to say thank you for your love and support. Your dedication means the world to us and we dont know where we would be without you guys supporting us. Our album Niggaz4Life is out, make sure you go get it if you haven't. And I want to give a special thanks to my man E. Without him, none of us would be here right now celebrating this album. He used his hard earned money and invested in Ruthless Records and created Niggaz With Attitudes. So thank you Eric," Dre said on the mic.
"Thank you Eazy!" everyone yelled as he walked off stage.
"I can't take all the credit Dre. You deserve some of it too. You convinced me back in 86 to get into this music shit. I didn't want to do it at first but I'm glad I did. It changed my life. And to all my fans, stay true to the game. To everybody that aint down with the N.W.A. movement, I say fuck em."
About two hours later, I arrived at the club with two other friends because we love N.W.A. and wanted to party with them.
"Oh my God that's Aaliyah!" one fan screamed when I walked through the door.
I felt bad for N.W.A. because this is their party and I came out of nowhere and stole their shine. I signed autographs and took pictures for about four hours. I didn't speak to Eazy and the rest of the group though. I'm just not on that groupie shit. I saw Eric looking at me while he was talking to the bouncer. He's up to something with his short ass.
The bouncer then walked over to me and told me that Eazy wants to speak to me. Again? Is this man up to something?
"Hey Miss Haughton. Sorry to bother you but my man Eazy-E wants to speak with you. You know Eazy-E right?"
"Oh, I met him once before last year. I have no interest in talking to him right now. I already know who he is," I replied.
I already met Eazy in 1990.
"Oh okay," the bouncer said. "Well just say hi. You dont have to have a full conversation with him. He really wants to talk to you."
Then Kidada's big mouth ass just had to interrupt.
"Girl just speak to the man. If you dont, I will. Shit he's fine ass hell."
"Okay bring him over here."
He walked over to my table after my friends got up and left.
"So what's up?" he asked.
"So that's how you greet me? Okay."
"Okay well how you doing?"
"I'm fine. Nice to meet you again," I said while I shook his hand.
"Nice to meet you too. Thanks for coming to my party. You like the album?" he asked.
"You're welcome and yes I love it. I have all your albums. I'm a big fan," I said while laughing.
"Well damn I sure can't tell cuz all night you just been ignoring a nigga. Thought you were going to ask for a picture or something," he said while smiling.
I kept looking at him. I must admit, he is nice looking. Well, sexy as hell. He finally took his locs off and I didn't realize how pretty his eyes are. His smile is also sexy. But no matter how handsome Eazy is, he's not going to distract me with his charm.
"I'm not the groupie type and you should know that by now after you met me last year."
"What's your favorite song and album?" he asked.
"My favorite song is Straight Outta Compton and my favorite album is Eazy Duz It. Good job."
"Well you know I didn't write it. At the time I didn't want to be a rapper but they kind of made me so I never wrote my own lyrics."
"Don't worry about that Eric. You're still talented, it doesn't matter if you write your lyrics or not."
"Oh I'm Eric now? So no more Eazy?" he asked while smirking.
"I mean Eazy. Shut up Eazy-E," I was trying not to smile and laugh. I guess that's just his charm.
"Nah I'm cool with you calling me Eric. I've been trying to get with you since 1990 but you keep giving me a hard time? Why?" he asked.
"Don't think I forgot about yo nacho stealing ass. I'm eating chili cheese fries right now, now try to mess with them."
Before Eric could respond, Kidada came over and interrupted our conversation.
"Sorry to interrupt but LiLi it's time to go. You said you wanted to leave before 12:00, well its almost 11:50 now."
"Oh yeah that's right. Let's beat this LA traffic. It was nice meeting you again Eric," I said while I got up and grabbed my purse.
"You wanna hang out sometime?" he asked.
"Mmm I'm sorry Eric. You are a nice guy and a great rapper but I dont need all that right now."
Before I left the building I turned around and glanced at E and we waved at each other. I do feel bad for turning him down since 1990. Y'all have no idea how many times this man tried to get me to go out with him.
I think it's kind of cute though.
