*Flashback to March 14, 1995*
-Aaliyah's POV-

It's been weeks since Eric was admitted and his condition has gotten worse. The doctors told him that he has about 6 months to live.
I hope they're wrong. I love this man so much. No matter what he's done or said to me, he doesn't deserve to die at such a young age. He has his whole life ahead of him.

His room is beautiful. There's balloons, cards, and flowers everywhere. He's loved by so many people. Everyone is praying for him, especially his fans.

He looked at me and I touched his hand.

"I want you to promise me a few things," he said.

"I'm listening."

"Promise me that you wont abort the baby and sell Ruthless."

"Okay I promise."

I started to cry. This is such an emotional, stressful time for me. I have every right to breakdown but I need to be strong.

"Alright. Now we need to get married because I want you to take over my company. You'll have all of my money too. Help the rest of my children. Split the money with them."

"I don't care about having your money. I love you. I just want you here with me and our kids," I said while crying.

"I know baby I'm going to stay here as long as I can. I'm glad you and the baby are healthy. We need to get married and we need to do it now."

"Where and how are we going to do it Eric? You can't get up, you can't even move."

"I know. That's why we're going to do it right here."

I'm not ready for marriage but I'm going to do it for Eric. He wants me to takeover Ruthless.
I hesitated because I don't know how to run a record label. But I promised him, and I always keep my promises. Kidada was right. Sooner or later, I should write a book about my relationship with Eric. Only God knows all the shit we've been through.

All I know is, I'm a good woman. He cheated on me, kicked me out of his crib, insulted me, dissed me, and put me and our unborn child at risk of contracting HIV. I have every right to walk away like that bitch Stephanie. This girl hasn't came back to visit him since he was admitted. She found out that he has HIV, walked out on him, and never came back.

Eric just know that I'm not going anywhere.

About two hours later, the preacher and Eric's parents walked in the room. His parents are going to be our witnesses.

"Eric Wright. Do you take Aaliyah Haughton to be your wedded wife...."
