Chapter 57: War- One final decision
Blasts of energy circled around the entire ground, fields of wind circulating around as a constant hurricane ravaged the ground below. Bakugo kept back and forth, attempting to stay on the inside of the eye of the storm, keeping his gaze focused solely on him.
Izuku smiled, raising his palm and flattening it down. Bakugo felt a weight floor him, sending him hurtling into the ground. Struggling to move under the heightened gravity, Bakugo activated one for all in his arms and legs, propelling himself off the floor at a rate that became outside the range of Izuku's quirk.
It was hard to even call him that anymore, his childhood friend, now a possessed villain overlord. However, calling him all for one just felt wrong after everything that had happened. After everything Bakugo associated with that appearance, it just didn't feel right. Even so, at that time, the person in there wasn't Izuku.
Bakugo leapt at him, using his explosions to create complex movements in order to confuse All for One. All for one jumped back, eager about how maneuverable his new body was, raising an arm on order to completely block his attack, sending his own directly at Bakugo. Bakugo leaned his head, dodging the said attack. then delivered a punch straight to All for One’s gut.
All for one reeled, staggering backwards as he reclaimed his balance. While spitting out a bit of blood, he smiled, looking up at Bakugo with a slight grin. "Of course you would be fine with hurting me while in your friend’s body." Bakugo shivered, the nerve-grinding sound of different pitches stabbing him in the back. "That's if you can even call each other friends anymore, after what you did. Sort of ironic how Izuku became a villain after a misunderstanding concerning the incident with you. You even believed their story as well. Quite pathetic."
Bakugo grimaced, staring daggers at All for one. "Well, you were supposed to be his mentor, right? A bit sadistic to do this to your student wouldn't you say?"
All for one tutted, walking towards Bakugo. "Once again, you are incorrect. I raised him for this day, where he could repay the favor I did to him by taking him in. Izuku was a better option to take over than Shigaraki, in his current state that is. It's one of the reasons I had Izuku kill him, to strengthen his resolve. Besides, eventually, a quirk will seek out it's original owner when split. It makes the reconnecting of the two much easier."
"So you used him?"
All for one chuckled, wiping the blood from his mouth. "You could say that. Although, I would rather not hear that from you."
All for One clicked his fingers towards Bakugo, a gust of air flying towards him as bullets of wind struck him on his guarded arms. Bakugo breathed heavily, catching himself before he fell to the ground. "What about Kurogiri?"
"Hmm? What about him?"
"Did you not think of the consequences when you killed Shigaraki? Kurogiri certainly wasn't pleased about it."
"'Consequences'. I hate the word. You preach about consequences when you never consider the benefits. Who cares if one or two have to suffer? How about the thousands that have benefited from Shigaraki's death. No, I don't dwell on the ‘consequences.’ He was completely expendable."
Bakugo gritted his teeth, charging at All for One with such aggression that the floor beneath him gave out. All for one caught his attack, a field of energy surrounding them as Bakugo continued to struggle. "How dare you. How dare you treat your allies like that!"
"Please, like you're no different." All for one kicked Bakugo's knees, causing it to buckle before delivering a swift blow to the back of the head. Bakugo fell face-first onto the ground, a slight crack of his nose eminating from his bruised face. "Need I remind you how you treat your so-called 'friends'?"
"Yeah, you're right. I'm a selfish prick with a god complex." All for one tilted his head in confusion as Bakugo peeled himself off the ground in a struggle.
"But..." Bakugo spat the blood from his mouth as he looked up at All for One with a glare. "I acknowledge it. I acknowledge that I am a shitty person. But, I am trying to be better than the person I was back in middle school."
"Bit late for that wouldn't you say?" All for one smiled, clicking his fingers once again. "It's too bad, in another time, we could have been allies."
"Like I would join you." Bakugo sneered. All for one sighed, a giant fire wall appearing behind him.
"Well that's too bad. You really do see yourself as a superior being don't you?"
Bakugo leapt off the ground, kicking the pebbles below towards All for One, stunning him for a few seconds. At that moment, Bakugo dived at All for one, punching him in the face full force.
All for One recoiled backwards, scoffing slightly with disgust. Although, it was quickly replaced with a smug smile at the sight of Bakugo.
Confused, Bakugo looked at where All for One was indicating. His hand was shaking, not from pain nor anger, simply shaking. Grabbing it with his other hand, Bakugo looked up at All for one with narrow eyes.
"It's funny, after all these years of tormenting him, a single punch is what shakes you up. I guess it is hard to attack him after you little 'character arc'"
Bakugo scoffed lightly. "What's it to you?"
"Nothing, nothing. It simply makes this a lot easier."
All for One appeared in front of Bakugo with a grin, delivering a swift blow to the neck. Bakugo gagged, collapsing to the ground in a fit of coughs and splutters. All for one placed a foot on Bakugo's head pushing it down to the ground.
"You know what I hate about people like you? It's your pathetic moral code. You believe yourself to be the most powerful, the smartest. No matter how selfless the person, they always put themselves on a pedestal above everyone. See, I don't hide it. I know that I am superior to you pathetic mongrels grasping at power and I don't try to get anyone to think otherwise. Yet, I am a bad person for letting people know that they mean nothing, for sorting arrogance into order. Now, you blame me for all your loss in life. You were the ones to victimise the strong and dehumanised the weak. I had no part in that."
Bakugo shivered, shaking as he attempted to get to his feet. All for One lifted his leg of Bakugo with a huff. "I know the worth of people. I know the usefulness of the weak. Take Izuku. He was a quirkless, depressed child, but I turned him into a criminal overlord responsible for a world war. You heroes almost threw away that potential, so they could protect your life and reputation. Sacrifice the weak at the expense of the strong, that is how our society has always worked."
"So what? You want to start preaching about how you are better than us?" Bakugo stood, staring All for One dead in the eye. "Don't fuck with me. You killed people. Hundreds. And for what? To prove your superiority over people and assert your dominance over us mortals? It's like a toddler throwing a temper tantrum."
All for One chuckled turning to the rest of class 1A. "Maybe, however, we really aren't that different. You managed to round up those failures into a group to fight for you. Impressive considering the kind of group you have."
"What's your point?"
"My point, Successor, is that the legacy you hold will die with you, as will your hopeless ideals. This will all end with your pathetic attempts to be like All Might."
"THAT'S ENOUGH!"
All for One turned around, his green hair swaying in the light wind. Bakugo's eyes went wide as he looked at a tall muscular man, his body writhing as his muscles contracted repeatedly. In front of him, a green haired woman, hands clasped, staring at Izuku with a small hope. (a small flame of hope burning within her.
The muscular man nodded at Bakugo before joining with the rest of the look, earning an odd look from Kirishima. All for one shook his head in annoyance. "This is what I mean. This stupid idea that you can solve anything because you are strong. You can reach what others can't."
"Izuku! Please just listen to me!"
"Inko! Stop, get away! That isn't Izuku!" Bakugo began to run over to Inko, only to be stopped by an arm blocking him. All for one stared back at him with a grin and with a small voice whispered "One move and she dies."
All for One began to make his way over to Inko, Bakugo helpless in the background. "What is it?"
"Izuku! You have to stop this. This isn't what you should want. No one wants this! War won't accomplish anything!"
"Rather odd you would say that. After all, it was you who said that a hero path wasn't exactly for me."
"What are you talking about?! I wanted what was best for you! Killing people, destroying cities, mass genocide? This isn't what's best for you. What happened?!". Inko looked desperately at Izuku, trying to get through to him.
"Ask captain anger issues over there."
Bakugo stared at the two, shaking his head. This wasn't right. He was acting too much like him. He was acting like Izuku. Bakugo activated All for One in his finger, simply as a precaution. He still couldn't move at the risk of Inko's life.
"Izuku, don't you get that this isn't just about you! People you love will be killed too!"
All for One smiled, staring at Inko with a sadistic look. "Actually, no one important has died. You see, I don't believe you understand the scale of the situation. The league of villains are not to be underestimated. I apologise to Inko, but I'm afraid I have no more time for talking as there is one final matter to attend to."
"What are you talking about?"
"There is one thing that Izuku still cares about, as much as he denies it. If I can exploit that, they never have to worry about losing this body."
"Body...? What are you?"
"My apologies Inko, but you will never see Izuku again. Nor will he ever see you again. You see, you are the foil in my plan."
"What...?"
"And we can't have that."
Bakugo's eyes went wide as he raised his fist to send an attack toward All for One. However, beneath him, a stone pillar rose, pinning him to a wall. Clawing at the stone, Bakugo attempted to push the giant pillar of him as All for One approached a quivering Inko. "What...are you...?"
"It's simple, Mrs Midoriya. I'm eradicating what lies in my way."
In one act of desperation, Bakugo breathed deeply before screaming at the top of his lungs.
"INKO!"
Inko looked at Bakugo in panic, frozen in place as her son approached her, a sinful glee painted on his face. Izuku raised his hand, twisting his wrist causing a blackened flame to appear in his hand. Inko stayed in place, staring Izuku down.
"No matter what, I am still your mother. I will not run from you."
Bakugo's breathing hitched as he pressed his body into the pillar, attempting to push it away.
"No matter what you are, or what you become, I will never lose faith in you."
All for One smiled, placing the hand directly in front of her face. Inko stared at the blackened flame manifesting itself in front of her eyes. She smiled slightly, calming her shaking body.
"I will always love you."
All for one twisted his palm, the flame erupting from his hand into a fireball that brightened the area. Bakugo paused, staring at the fire in defeat as the explosion erupted upward, creating a billowing pillar of smoke. The stone pillar holding Bakugo collapsed, letting Bakugo onto the ground. He stared at the smokescreen in a desperate hope that he missed. That anything other than the worst-case scenario occurred.
Bakugo ran into the smoke, looking around frantically. "Inko?!". As the smoke began to clear, he saw a shadowy figure standing in the clearing. Bakugo bolted to the area, hoping to God that it wasn't what he feared it was.
"I'm asking what you did to me."
Bakugo froze, staring at the scene before him. All for One held Inko by the throat in the air. Her right side was slightly burned, but she was alive. Somehow.
"What did you do?"
Inko coughed, struggling against the tightening grip around her throat. She looked down at her son, his eyes now unfamiliar. Shakily, she rose her hand, bringing it close to his face.
"Izuku...please...". She could barely utter anything above a strained whisper. "Wake...up..."
Bakugo began to approach the two, only to feel a significant weight on him, sending him to the ground. He stared at All for One, noticing that his free hand was shaking. He raised it to his head, pressing his temples in confusion and discomfort.
Suddenly, his eyes began flashing between green and red as he dropped Inko to the floor. With a cry, he grasped his head, shaking it as he collapsed to the ground. Vague hints of Izuku’s voice were detectable through the strained hisses and exhales. Inko looked up from the ground, reaching out to Izuku.
"Tch."
The ground beneath them erupted, stones being flung around as the gravity increased ten-fold. Inko and Bakugo were sent flying into the floor as All for One stood, eyes burning red with annoyance. With an aggressive shout, he shoved everything surrounding him outward, sending Inko and Bakugo into giant stone walls.
"WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO?!" All for One shouted at Inko, who was reeling from the impact of the wall. Energy surged around All for One, as his anger began to heighten. He hissed, teeth clenched to the point of them nearly breaking. Then, with a solemn whisper: "I will not stand for any more dissent from creatures like you."
Behind him, a giant timer signaling 15 minutes appeared, its sudden appearance catching everyone’s attention. "What the hell is that...?"
"I'm through with your desperation. I'm growing rather tired of your monotonous antics. In fifteen minutes, various bombs around the city will detonate. With the detonation, a quirk destroying gas will release, which will be spread across the city. In time, I will spread it across the globe and rid the world of troublemakers such as yourself. I will remain as the only non-quirkless person in the world, and you will have to fall beneath me."
"So what? You're going to hide behind your quirk as you strip everyone of theirs?!"
"If that's what it takes to ensure your cooperation, then so be it."
All for One smashed his hand into the ground, and after a brief moment, the skies around them began to darken as clouds rolled in. "Enjoy the last moment you have with you quirks, heroes."
Bakugo stared not at All for one, rather the body he was possessing in awe. Izuku was completely trapped in that some of a bitches mind, and he would be subjected to watch his friends, the league, crumble under their previous leader. All because he took the quirk that belonged to him.
Quirks that belong to him...
Bakugo's eyes went wide as he stared down as his hands. One for All. A power that was once All for One's now his. A quirk seeks out its original owner. Bakugo clenched his fists staring at All for One in triumph, before bolting over to his class. Gigantomachia was being distracted by the league, which left them a few minutes of time.
"Oi Grapehead, tape face get over here."
Mineta and Sero exchanged awkward glances before approaching Bakugo with a questioning look. "I need to subdue Izu- All for One for as long as you can."
Mineta stared at Bakugo in confusion. "You want us to subdue that thing?!"
"If you still want your quirk, I would suggest you do it."
Bakugo nodded, jumping away into a hidden point to focus. Quirks become bonded to an individual. When transferred, consciousness can go with it. Like how the owners of One for All memories stayed with the power. You can bring things over with you. Bakugo shut his eyes, focusing on his quirk. DNA. That's what you needed to pass it on.
Bakugo turned, noticing a sharp piece of shrapnel on the floor. Getting All for One to ingest hair or saliva wouldn't be easy, but blood. If he could conceal the blood, and get him to digest it, it would be enough.
He just had to hope that he would go with it.
Bakugo picked up the shrapnel, brought it to his finger and made a large cut down the inside of his index finger. Bakugo hissed, squinting slightly as pain raced through his veins. Taking a breath, Bakugo paused. Consciousness was a given in One for all, however, all the visions were of people who died.
Bakugo was alive.
Bakugo looked up, staring at a figure in the distance, eyes going wide.
"No fucking way."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
All for One stared at the villains smiling as he noticed two students approaching him. He smiled, staring at the two. "Kirishima and Todoroki, correct? I'm afraid that you are not going to have enough time to stop me."
He indicated to the clock, which signalled 12 minutes. The two exchanged a look before charging at him. The two struck from separate angles, the blow breaking Izuku's skin. All for one smiled, kicking the two in the stomach. "Really, you ought to know better than that. I'm telling you that it's no use. I am willing to spare you if you surrend-"
All for One felt a rope-like material wrap around him as Kirishima kicked him to the ground. He fell atop a squishy yet sticky substance. He grunted, struggling against the bonds.
"NOW BAKUGO!"
All for One noticed Bakugo approaching him. His steps were methodical, hesitant but calm. He crouched down in front of him, opening his mouth forcefully. All for One stared at Bakugo in confusion as Bakugo shoved a finger down his throat. All for One coughed and sputtered as the rich, metallic taste of blood hit the back of his throat. Bakugo recoiled, as All for One began to struggle.
"Did...did you seriously give me One for All?!"
Bakugo didn't reply to his question, instead, he gave a sigh of relief. "You know, if I were to die, it would be in a way where I could be resuscitated. I couldn't exactly survive stabbing myself to death now can I?"
"What..?"
"NOW DENKI!"
Out of nowhere a familiar blonde-haired boy jumped out, tears pricking at the sides of his eyes. Class 1A stared in shock as he activated his quirk.
"I'm sorry..."
Kaminari released his quirk on to Bakugo, sending 1.3 million volts coursing through the blondes veins. Bakugo had no time to even scream in pain as he collapsed to the ground. Kirishima's eyes went wide as he sprinted to Bakugo's side, while Todoroki subdued Kaminari.
"BAKUGO!? BAKUGO, CAN YOU HEAR ME?!"
Kirishima turned Bakugo over, pressing his ear onto the blondes chest. His eyes went wide, clenching onto Bakugo's shirt as tears prickled in his eyes.
"no...no please."
Todoroki clenched his teeth, turning to Kaminari and slapping him across the face. "What the hell is wrong with you?!"
"you can't help him yet...."
"What..?"
Kaminari collapsed into a ball, grasping at the hairs on his head. "He told me to. He said not to resuscitate him until the time hit 5. God, I didn't want to, please, I didn't." Kaminari buried his head in his hands. "I didn't want any of this to happen..."
Todoroki turned back to Kirishima, who was frantically talking with Mina and Sero. Todoroki ran up to them, explaining what Kaminari had said to them.
"So what?! We just have to let him stay dead?!" Mina grabbed at Todoroki's shoulders. "We can't! He's going to die! He's going to..."
Mina collapsed onto her knees, burying her face into Bakugo's chest in tears. Todoroki sighed, staring at Bakugo's mortified face in desperation. "We just have to hope he had some kind of idea..."
"But, what if Kaminari was lying?! After everything, how are we supposed to...". Kirishima cut himself off before he was able to finish the sentence, looking at the ground with a grimace. "Dammit..."
"Maybe the smartass wanted to kill himself before his quirk was taken away."
Behind the group, a stirring figure caught the students' attention. Still pinned to the ground, their eyes widened as All for One's body began to distort and glitch. Todoroki hit the ground, a wall of ice coming between them and All for One. Kirishima grabbed Bakugo's limp body, carrying it as they laid low to the ground. Todoroki looked over the wall tentatively, noting the cowering students.
"Rather inconvenient, your quirks. I was well and truly trapped. Why you didn't kill me at that point is beyond me."
Todoroki whirled back around, staring at All for One who was simply brushing the dust of his shirt. "Teleporting is such a hassle. Now, on another note, he mention resuscitation."
All for One looked at Bakugo, still in Kirishima's arms. Mina stood between them, staring All for One down. "It seems he means to be brung back. I don't know why he transferred the quirk back or why he let himself be killed, but it seems he has a plan." All for one gripped his chin, still staring at the group. Then, an idea lit up in his eyes, smiling at the student.
"I guess I have to destroy his body before he can be brought back."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Bakugo opened his eyes with a start. He say up with a gasp, staring around his surroundings with unfamiliarity. Everything was a warped combination of black and purple, which floated around in cloud-like masses that accumulated in clumps. Bakugo coughed, now noticing the smell of smoke and burnt flesh.
"Well, if it isn't the bitch brigade."
Bakugo whirled around, relief flowing over him as he looked at the familiar figure approaching him. The greenhaired, emerald eyed boy stared at Bakugo with indistinguishable emotions. "Could say the same to you."
Izuku rolled his eyes, sitting solemnly on the floor. "So, you going to tell me why the hell you are here."
"Long story."
Bakugo joined him on the floor, leaning his body weight on his hands. Izuku, noticing his laidback demeanor rolled his eyes again, resting his head on the palms of his hands. "Of course I get stuck in this hellhole with you of all people."
"Look, I didn't exactly kill myself just for idle chat."
Izuku whirled around, staring at Bakugo with surprise. "You killed yourself..."
"Yup, stole your job. Look, you have any idea on what's going on out there?"
"Like I would know. I've been trying to get out of this mess from the start."
"I noticed. You almost got out too" Bakugo stared at his hands, creating a small explosion in order to create light. The glow was immediately absorbed into the depths of the mist. "Well, that worked..."
Izuku looked at his hands, before shaking his head. "You going to get to the point?"
"Basically, All for One stole your body and is trying to rid the world of quirks using some sort of gas."
Izuku tensed, catching Bakugo's attention. "You know about it?"
"Someone in the league developed it. I personally requested it to be experimented with in the form of a gas as a backup plan incase this whole war thing went south."
"So, how does All for One know about it?"
"That has been something I've been thinking about. He said that because he split the quirk, we were essentially connected. As I used the quirk, more of my mind was accessible to All for One. So, I wonder..."
Izuku gripped his chin in thought, silencing Bakugu with a hand as he tried to speak. "Has he been manipulating my actions? And how long, if he has?"
Bakugo raised an eyebrow. "You think he's been manipulating you? You should have been aware of it though. Unless it was subliminal."
"I guess...That means I haven't really been my own person for a while."
"Not since you split quirks."
Izuku sighed, standing up, staring at Bakugo with squinted eyes. Bakugo sighed, resting his head on his palms. "So, you going to tell me why you haven't tried to kill me?"
"I wish. But, it seems like I don't have access to any quirks right now. Besides, you still haven't told me what the hell you are doing here. And how."
"If you must know, I gave All for One One for all and then killed myself so I could become a figure in his head. Then, I could try to find you."
"Well, that was risky."
"Thanks einstein, anyway, I came here to see if I can get you back in control of your head again."
"And how do you plan to do that? Going to blast me away into consciousness? I've looked around here and other than these cloud things, I can't find anything."
Bakugo looked at Izuku, pausing. "This is kind like a dream escape right?"
Izuku looked around, noting the infinite space. "I guess...Wait, you're not suggesting killing me to wake me up or some shit right?"
"I guess not then. What have you been doing here anyway?"
Izuku looked at him suspiciously, staying silent as he inspected the mist. Bakugo noted this, standing up with a confused look. "What?"
"You're being oddly casual."
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"For one, after you killed yourself to get here, you are now trying to talk to me as if we are allies. Don't misunderstand, if I had my quirks I wouldn't be wasting my time taking to you."
Bakugo turned away looking at the floor in annoyance. It really did seem like they would never actually have a normal conversation anymore. He wasn't expecting to, but it would have been nice to get some sort of closure. Not that it mattered anymore.
Izuku crouched down, dragging a finger on the ground and inspecting it. No dust, no particles. Everything was clean. Almost to clean in fact.
"That reminds me..."
Izuku turned slowly as Bakugo looked up at the never ending ceiling. "That All for One guy said that you were locking in with his quirks that he didn't find useful."
Izuku raised an eyebrow, turning back to the ground as he stood up with a huff. "Even so, do you see any quirks here? There is nothing we can use to get out of here."
"Maybe not..."
Bakugo turned to his hands, attempting to use his quirk again. The light was instantly sucked away by the mist. Izuku rolled his eyes, clapping. "Oh wow, I'm free now."
"Just because the light got sucked away, doesn’t mean I can't use my quirk. You can use quirks in here, you just have to do it quickly."
"Woah, woah, woah. Before you go all apeshit here, let me remind you that this is my brain. I'm not exactly keen on you destroying my brain."
"Don't have to be. You have any better ideas?"
"Not exactly, but you killing me isn't ideal."
"Well I did it to save you."
"That's because you can be brought back idiot! You can't resuscitated a brainless corpse!"
Bakugo turned to Izuku, noting the slight panic in his eyes. Bakugos eyes widened as he realised the circumstances. It was just like they were in middle school again, with Bakugo choosing to harm Izuku because he was quirkless. He was sure that Izuku realised it too, as he noticed his hand shaking.
Bakugo stayed silent, looking away. Izuku grumbled, walking up to him and punching him in the face. "Don't you dare look down on me! I'm not the same person I was all those months ago! I'm not the kind of person to tolerate any bullshit you have anymore! I won't let you do this to me again!"
Izuku grabbed Bakugo's shoulders, pinning him to the ground. "Do you have any idea of what I had to deal with in middle school!? Do you have any idea of what you put me through?! What they all put me through!?"
"They tortured me! I had nothing but they still tried to take more and more and I just couldn't take it anymore! Why are you so insistent on ruining my life?! What did I ever do to you?!"
"Why do you have to take everything from me...?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Todoroki flew back, smacking his head on the rock with a cry. He grasped his wound, feeling the warm fluid drip down from his skull. He gritted his teeth, standing shakily. He looked over at All for One, grinning at the group with an intense glare.
Mina cried out, grasping at her neck as tears fell from her eyes. She collapsed to the ground, clawing at her neck with strain breaths.
Kirishima still held Bakugo, nervously staggering back as he noticed the man approaching him. He shivered as the man clicked his fingers, sending bullets of rocks towards them. He braced himself, inhaling sharply as the rock pierced his skin. He shook, but held his balance.
"Kirishima, was it?" Kirishima looked up at the man, lording his power over him as if he were an overlord of sorts. "To my knowledge, you have only recently recovered from your injury induced coma, correct? Why is it you are so insistent on protecting that boy when you can barely keep your quirk active?"
"Because, unlike you, I'm not an asshole." Kirishima felt blood pouring from his wound. The stones went straight through his body, so at least they couldn’t cause damage inside his body. "I don't treat my comrades as expendable soldiers."
"I see. So they're your comrades?"
"They're people. That's what matters."
"I see. However, I, myself am a person. Why is it you treat me differently?"
"You're not a person. You're an arrogant monster who sees innocent people as tools."
All for One chuckled, tapping his head. "Can't argue with that. However, I must ask. What value do you see in people who continue to bring you down? Like that corpse in your arms. Why bother holding onto it if he is dead?"
"Underestimate him and you will die. That what I learned from him. I know he didn't die because he was scared."
Kirishima smiled, staring All for one down.
"He died to stop you."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Bakugo stared at Izuku, propping himself up. He gritted his teeth, before grabbing Izuku on the shoulders. "What are you talking about?! I get that I hurt you, but I never made you a villain! I never chose to have you turn out like this!"
"Well, what did you expect?! What did you want me to do, wallow in my depression until my death?! How can you expect me to stay normal after what you did?!"
"How am I supposed to know, you never told me!"
"AND HOW COULD I HAVE?! ANY TIME I TRIED TO DEFY YOU WOULD END IN ME BEING ON THE GROUND!"
"AND IVE TOLD YOU OVER AND OVER THAT IM SORRY! I'M SO GODDAMN SORRY BUT YOU WON’T FUCKING LISTEN!"
"OH YEAH, LET ME LISTEN TO MY GODDAMN BULLY! THAT WILL TURN OIT GREAT FOR ME NOW WOULDNT IT?!"
"WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO?! I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU WANT FROM ME!"
"I WANT THE DEAD TO COME BACK! BUT THAT WON'T FUCKING HAPPEN NOW WILL IT?!"
"NO IT WON'T! BUT, YOU STARTED THIS! YOU STARTED THIS WAR THAT GOT YOUR FRIENDS KILLED!"
"SHUT THE FUCK UP!"
Izuku pushed Bakugo into the ground, screaming at him at the top of his lungs with tears streaming down his face. Bakugo stared back, tears also pricking in his eyes.
"YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING!"
"SO ITS MY FAULT THAT THIS WHOLE THING STARTED?!"
"YOU PUSHED ME TO THIS! I HAD NO CHOICE OF I WANTED TO FEEL SAFE!"
"SAFE?! YOU ARE THE LEADER OF A FUCKING LEAGUE! YOU LITERALLY HAVE HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE AROUND YOU ALL THE TIME!"
"YEAH WELL, SORRY IF THE IDEA OF HAVING A TARGET PAINTED ON MY BACK FOR MONTHS ISNT A LITTLE CONCERNING!"
"BUT YOU WANTED THAT! YOU WERE THE ONE TO GO OUT AND KILL PEOPLE!"
"AND YOU WERE THE ONE TO TORMENT ME! TELL ME, WHAT WAS IT THAT MADE YOU WANT TO TORMENT ME FOR YEARS!"
"IT'S BECAUSE I WAS JEALOUS OF YOU, OKAY?!"
Izuku froze as Bakugo pushed against him, grabbing his shoulders. "I WAS JEALOUS OF YOU OKAY?! I WAS JEALOUS OF THE ATTITUDE YOU HAD! I WAS JEALOUS OF THE FREEDOM YOU HAD! I WAS JEALOUS ON HOW LITTLE EVERYONE EXPECTED OF YOU! I WAS JEALOUS OF YOU!"
Izuku still stayed mute, eyes widening as Bakugo began to cry. "I couldn't handle it...I couldn't bear the thought of you being better than me...I know it was wrong but I just..."
Bakugo buried his head in his hands as Izuku shuffled away awkwardly. "I couldn't handle the pressure of being a prodigy, so I took it out on you. Then I...forgot why I targeted you in the first place."
Izuku stared at Bakugo in a slight disbelief. "I believed them. I forgot my insecurities and just used you as entertainment. I took everything they told me and used it against you. I..."
Bakugo clenched his head as he shook slightly. "I became more of a villain than you."
Izuku sighed, looking away awkwardly. "If you think that will make me forgive y-"
"No...I know. I know, just...let's stop talking about this..."
"Besides, it isn't really fair for you to be jealous..."
"Eh?"
Bakugo raised his hands, looking at Izuku. Izuku still refused to look at him, instead resting his head on his knee. "You think you have a right to be jealous? Give me a break. You had everything I couldn't have. Maybe I had less pressure, but I still had other things to deal with. It's not like I really enjoyed my life back then..."
"Yeah...I know..."
Izuku wide-eyed Bakugo, rolling his eyes as he stood up. "Though, I guess it's nice to get some closure about that. Even if I still hate you, I can still acknowledge your abilities. And...I guess I can understand some of the things you did. Some being the keyword."
Bakugo looked at Izuku, standing up with him. Izuku looked around, his eyes going wide as he looked at his hand. Izuku had a thought, facepalmed himself and turned back to Bakugo. "I hate that I have to do this."
"What...?"
"I have a favor."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
All for One raised an eyebrow, staring at Kirishima. "Really now, he's going to stop me when he's dead."
Kirishima nodded, holding onto Bakugo's body tightly. "I trust him."
All for one grinned, raising an arm towards Kirishima. "Well, you can both help when you go to hell with him." Todoroki noticed All for One's movement, staggering toward Kirishima.
All for One clicked his fingers, surrounding them with rings of fire. Kirishima exhaled, staring at All for One as his ever-present grin bore through him. He trusted Bakugo. He wouldn't let anything happen. He wouldn't die for no reason.
"My apologies."
Todoroki collapsed to the ground as his previous broken bones from the incident with Dabi creaked. He cried out weakly, trying to activate his ice power.
"KIRISHIMA!"
Kirishima felt a jolt backwards as he felt someone push him down. Above him, he felt the heat from the fire rings rush over him, burning his eyes causing his vision to go blurry.
"Good grief..."
A familiar grumble made Kirishima's eyes go wide as he looked up as his eyes cleared. There, above him, was Bakugo awake and out of breath. "Bakugo...?"
"Who else?"
Kirishima pulled Bakugo into a hug, much to the blondes surprise. "I'm going to fucking kill you after this..." He said, slightly muffled. "Yeah yeah, sure." Bakugo smiled, rolling his eyes as he patted Kirishima on the head.
He pushed himself up, his blonde hair swaying as he stared All for One down. His eyes had an imbued anger that resonated to them all. "How..."
"Eh?! I couldn't hear you, All for ass."
"How are you alive?!"
"Through some serious convenience I'll have you know. Who knew restoring mental state was how to get out?"
"What...?"
Bakugo smiled, pointing to his head. "It’s like you said, you were able to possess Izuku because his mental state was weakened by the death of his friend. That allowed you to seize control of him. So, as it turns out, by restoring some mental stability it kicks out any other presence in the mind. Quite miraculous."
All for Ones eyes went wide as he suddenly felt a shock run through his body. He collapsed to the ground as Bakugo smiled, smugly over him. "Because now, his will overpowers all else."
All for One stared at Bakugo, hatred emminating from his body, he stared at his actual body as he activated his quirks. "GO BACK TO ME!"
A bolt of light escaped from the green boys body, landing in All for Ones, then he lost consciousness. Bakugo stared down at the unconscious body of Izuku as it stayed unmoving.
All for One's body began to stir, drawing all eyes to it. He lifted his head as anger poured out from his eyes. "Damn you...you bastard."
"I agree."
Bakugo looked down at Izuku's body as it began to move. "Bakugo is an absolute asshole, well and truly. He is a migraine-inducing bitch who doesn't know when to shut his fucking mouth. However..."
Bakugo chuckled as Izuku stood, staring at Bakugo with a minuscule smile. "I don't exactly like you of all people calling him that."
"Aww, how nice..."
"Another word and I am turning you into mince meat and feeding you to twice’s apparent dog."
"His name is Gregory!" Twice cried out from the background only to be smacked by Dabi.
"Gee thanks, it's so nice to hear that from a friend."
"I swear to god I will make you kiss the fucking floor."
Izuku looked at the league with a pained look. "Dabi, take the group and reconvene with the rest of the league. Keep an eye on Kurogiri. Then, bring Eri here."
Dabi took a step forward. "What are y-"
"DO IT!"
Izuku looked back at them. "Please."
Dabi paused, before nodding, taking off with the rest of the league, Kurogiri in tow. Bakugo looked at his class, still keeping a hold on Gigantomachia. "You too. Go and look for the survivors from the camp. They are probably injured thanks to someone."
"Gee, subtle..."
Todoroki and Kirishima looked at the unconscious Gigantomachia before nodding. "Don't you dare die again Bakugo!"
"Sure, sure. Go!"
The class darted away, with Sero tying up Gigantomachia with his tap before darting away. Bakugo looked back at All for One with a glare, noticing it was just him, Izuku and All for One.
"Well, you want me to keep my end of the deal?"
"Nah, I just let you out because I thought it was a nice thing to do - Of course I do!"
All for One stood, smiling. "I'm sorry, but you can't do anything. I already took the quirks back."
"Not all of them."
"Excuse me?"
Bakugo looked at Izuku with a nod. "Remember when I gave you One for All? Well, in truth, I didn't think of you when I transferred it. Otherwise I would have only been seen by you."
Izuku smiled, a green current surrounding his body. "In truth..."
Bakugo activated his quirk, small explosions appearing in his hands.
"I thought of him."
/////////////////////
"You want to defeat All for One together...?"
Izuku covered his face, giving a muffled yell. "Yes..."
"And why do you want to work with me...?"
"Well, if Mr. Possession Man has actually taken his quirks back, when I get out of here I am royally fucked. Which won't take long apparently, look around."
Bakugo swirled around, noticing the lightening of the mist as it began to dissipate. "Wait...So you're getting out?!"
"Yeah, yeah that's not important right now. Look, I'm kinda running out of time here so use bitch Mights power and help me beat this fucker."
"About that..."
Izuku tilted his head, crossing his arms while tapping his fingers on them. "Well...?"
"I kinda gave One for All to you..."
Izuku paused, releasing his arms and standing up straight. "You're kidding..."
"It was the only way to get to y-"
Izuku approached Bakugo, smacking him across the head. "Why the hell- I don't even know how to use the bloody power! I'd rather not break all my freaking bones!"
Bakugo rubbed the back of his head, grimacing. "Nice reminder, look Kurogiri told me that you just have to decrease the power output so you don't hurt yourself. Got it?"
"Since when have you cared about my wellbeing?"
"Cut the sarcasm and let's just get out of here."
Izuku rolled his eyes, staring back at Bakugo.
"Then, kindly, get the hell out of my head."
////////////////////////
Inko shuddered, shaking her head as she pulled herself from the ground. Her head stung, ached from that person's attack. She gathered that she was lost likely blown backwards, triggering her to hiss as she grasped the back of her head.
Loud cracks and explosions sounded from somewhere further down the battlefield. The reverberations sent shivers down her spine, making her incapable of holding her own weight. It was almost like the earth was breaking apart, shaking beneath her in a desperate cry of defiance.
Inko gritted her teeth, using all her strength to stand again. She shook violently, her head screeching at her. She raised her hand to her head, touching the area where the pain flowed. As she removed her hand, her eyes widened as she looked down at it.
Blood.
Blood was pouring from her head like a never ending stream of red. The sight made her nauseous, causing her to stagger slightly at the sight. She breathed heavily, eyes widening at the realisation. She had probably broken her skull. The shard of bone embedded in her head. She knew what the searing pain was now.
Her brain was bleeding.
She knew what that meant, of course. You can't easily fix a brain bleed, especially with no medical personal. She had minutes, possibly less. It was that man. It wasn't her son.
That damned villain possessing her son.
Inko recovered her balance, staring at the battlefield with narrowed eyes. She staggered towards the crashes, wobbling slightly. She wouldn't let anyone hurt her son again.
If she were to die, she would ensure Izuku wouldn't.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Izuku ducked with a wide grin, kicking off with his right leg towards All for One. Keep the output low. Keep the output low. Izuku reminded himself over and over again. If he broke his bones, he would be dead. There was no doubt about that.
However, despite that, Izuku still had the advantage he had all along. Even before he got All for Ones quirk.
His knowledge.
He knew exactly what quirks All for One had, how to use them, and what countered them best. He had them; he knew better than anyone.
Bakugo followed Izuku's lead, coming up from behind All for One. He also smiled, creating small explosions in the palm of his hand. Izuku struck All for One in the stomach, sending him toward Bakugo. Bakugo, slightly shocked, released a giant explosion knocking them all backward. Izuku landed on his stomach, rolling slightly
before peeling himself of the floor.
"Well, cremated me why don't you?!"
"You're the one who sent the villain toward me!"
"Oh yeah, blame the victim."
"Vic- Nevermind. Come on, let's beat this fucker."
"Yeah, then I never have to talk to you again."
"As I remember it, you were the one to always break into my house."
"Call it friends meeting friends."
"Oh har har."
All for One gritted his teeth, staring at the two. These damn children, they just couldn't stay down. All for One smiled, raised his arms and bringing them down to his sides.
Immediately, the ground tremored, the pebbles above it shuddering over the weight beneath them. Bakugo and Izuku shook with the ground, almost losing their balance. The two nodded at each other, charging at the man with ferocity. The area around All for One flew yellow, circling him like he was a messiah. Bakugo attempted to push into the circle, only to be blocked out by the lights invisible wall.
"Eh, you hiding you fucker?!"
Izuku paused just before the wall, eyeing the light with confusion. "This doesn’t make sense?! I've never seen this quirk!"
Bakugo looked at Izuku in shock, then back at All for One. He was smiling widely, arms raising up. From the light grew chains that circled the sky, unwrapping the light rays that hit it creating an unfathomable darkness. The only light came from the glowing chains.
Izuku stared at the chains in confusion. "Not good...Run!"
Izuku pulled Bakugo as the chains began to follow them, attempting to wrap around them. All for One grinned as the rats ran from their cages. With a confident voice, he bellowed, "12 minutes have passed!" while grinning widely.
Bakugo and Izuku weaved in and out of the chains ducking over and under the rows of glowing metal. "It’s a good thing we made them all leave. Rather not have to deal with hostages." Izuku muttered under his breath as he dived over a chain, forward rolling back onto his feet.
Bakugo attempted to use his quirk to break the chains, to no avail. After giving One for All to Izuku, he noticed his movements were slower.
All for One remained in the circle, the light barrier still surrounding him. Bakugo looked at Izuku in a panic. "IZUKU, WE LITERALLY HAVE THREE MINUTES TO BEAT THIS FUCKER!"
"THANKS EINSTEIN, I KINDA FIGURED!" Izuku yelled, diving underneath some chains. "I'M THINKING!"
Izuku ducked underneath a rock as the chains circled around him. "Okay, so the chains can't be destroyed, or deflected. They seem to made of some kind of steel. Steel is resistant to heat and electricity. It typically has a carbon content of 0.2% to 2.1%. Carbon has few weaknesses in regards to what we can do. Unless treated, it is prone to corrosion if exposed to water and brittleness. Tch, dammit, I can't think of anything!"
"Well, I'll deal with the chains, you deal with the shield. As you said, you know his quirks better than anyone."
Izuku dived back out from the rocks, just as the chains dived down towards him. Bakugo seemed to be preoccupied with figuring out the mechanisms of the quirk.
Izuku's main issue was where the quirk came from. Izuku never had a kind of quirk like this, nor any knowledge on anything like this. "Izuku, my boy!"
Izuku shuddered as All for One called out to him. "The hell do you want...?"
"I want you to come back."
"And why in gods name would I do that?"
"To enact the revenge you dreamt of when you first came here. To rewrite the hero philosophy and make them pay for their arrogance. To find what made a hero a hero, remember."
Izuku smiled, placing his hands in his pockets. "Yeah, that's nice and all, but I'll pass."
All for One frowned, looking at Izuku with a saddened look. "Well that is a shame, not only have you been tainted by All Might's power, but now you have betrayed the one person you cared about."
"Tsk, tsk. That's where you are wrong."
"Oh really?"
"Yeah. I'm not like you. I don't pick and choose who to favorites. Dabi, Compress, Twice, Spinner, Magne, Muscular, Toga, Eri and everyone in the league. I care about them more than I care about my ideals. I have chosen to break away from what you tried to force me to become."
Izuku stepped forward, smiling brightly. "I'm not your tool anymore."
All for One laughed, staring at Izuku with curiosity. "Well, they do say to dispose of tools when you have no use for them."
"Yeah, I guess so."
All for One deactivated the light shield surrounding him, the ground still glowing with its residue. "I guess I should dispose of you myself then."
"Try me."
All for One clicked his fingers, the chains now frozen in time. Bakugo paused staring at the steel in awe as its glistening surface shine brightly.
Then, the chains moved quicker than the eye could see, wrapping around Izuku's neck. Izuku chocked, grasping at his neck as oxygen was gradually cut off, slowly suffocating him. Bakugo darted towards him, only to be caught himself. Bakugo found himself stung up, like a pig ready for slaughter. The chains dug into his skin, almost breaking it.
Izuku struggled, clawing at the chains as the dug more and more into hid throat. He couldn't breathe. He couldn't talk, even if he could he didn't know what to say.
He was going to die.
He was going to die.
Suddenly, All for One let out a piercing shout as he gripped the back of his head. the chains relented, letting go of Izuku and Bakugo, who collapsed to the ground.
Izuku's vision cleared as he looked at the figure in the distance. His eyes widened, as he saw a familiar set of green hair and eyes with an also familiar sight of red.
All for One looked behind him, a burning look in his eyes. "You..."
Bakugo looked up, eyes wide in shock.
The figure coughed, gripping their arm with shallow breath. Behind them, thousands of stones began to float higher and higher into the air. She smiled a familiar smile.
"Payback, bitch"
Inko pushed her palm forward, sending the rocks barreling into All for One, just barely flying over Izuku and Bakugo. All for One cried out as the shards of stone pierced his skin. He grimaced, anger piercing his irises.
"ENOUGH!"
All for One charged at Inko quickly, so quickly that the air changed beneath them, creating a pillar of dust. Bakugo and Izuku coughed, peeling themself of the ground, staggering onto their feet.
As the dust cleared once again, their eyes widened as the scene before them played over and over again in their heads.
Inko staggered, the whole in her chest sending shivers throughout her body. She fell to her knees as All for One wiped the blood from his hand, grimacing at the sight. Bakugo shook slightly, tears pricking in his eyes as his knees gave out. He collapsed to the ground, staring at the bloodied body of Inko, now bleeding out on the ground. "No.."
Izuku's head was bowed, his fringe covering his eyes. All for One turned to the two, a annoyed look on his face. "I really hate interlopers. People who really want to meddle in matter that arent their business really get on my nerves."
"How...how can you be so cold?!" Bakugo screamed out towards All for One. "How can you just kill someone so light heartedly?! Do you never stop to think about what that does to people!?"
"Rather ironic coming from you."
"Can you stop with that?! I get it, I hurt people! But I would never kill someone who got on my nerves! I don't understand how you can be so casual about that!"
All for One turned to Izuku, a cold stare in his face. "How about you Izuku? You have killed people before. You must understand where I am coming from. People like this deserve this."
Izuku didn't look up, yet in a low voice he spoke. "Yeah, I've killed people. I've killed so many I've lost count. But, I don’t do it for fun. I never enjoyed killing innocent people. I would never want to get innocents hurt for my selfish desires."
Bakugo looked at Izuku, attempting to understand what was going through his head. "I am not like heroes. I don't achieve fame at the expense of the innocent. I do it at the expense of the arrogant. The selfish, the downright worst this world has."
Izuku looked up at All for One, anger emminating from his bruised and bloodied body. "For everything you have done, for taking my body, for hurting the people I care about and killing the only person who was there for me from the beginning, I will be the one to kill you."
All for One frowned. "Well, that was rather anticlimactic. You are just like them now, pretending you are above me. When, in reality, you are nothing more than livestock."
"Save your false pretenses for the heroes I killed."
Izuku bolted toward All for One. All for One smiled, raising the palm of his hand, creating a small fireball in the midst of his hand. Bakugo noticed immediately what All for One was planning as the positioning looked all too familiar. "Izuku! Get back!"
But Izuku didn't falter, instead, he moved quicker as All for One's beam of fire began to grow. Fear flowed over Bakugo as All for One's smile grew wider and wider. "My apologies, my progeny."
"IZUKU!"
All for One sent the fireball directly at Izuku, the flames colliding with the boys body as it exploded into a burst of flames. Bakugo stared eyes wide as sparks flew high into the air, rising into the stratosphere in a brilliant blaze.
Bakugo stared, jaw dropped as All for One laughed at the pillar of fire rising from the ground. The great fireball enveloped the area Izuku was standing, rising tall over the desolate city.
All for One smiled, turning towards Bakugo. "Well, isn't that ironic."
Bakugo noticed a shift in the smoke behind them, which was undetected by All for One. His confidence was blinding his judgement as a familiar figure burst from the ashes.
Izuku, with a loud shout, stabbed All for One through the throat with a piece of shrapnel, the blade cutting into his own skin causing it to bleed. Izuku breathed heavily, retracting the blade from All for Ones throat with a shaky pull. He raised his arm, eyes glowing green and with a shout yelled. "NOW BAKUGO!"
Izuku punched All for One upwards, the force shattering his arm, sending him flying into a nearby wall. Izuku cried out his ribs creaked against the force, some of his burned skin breaking..
Bakugo charged at the now airborne All for One, sending himself flying with the force of his own explosions before grabbing onto All for One's shirt, which was now covered in the blood from his neck. "Go to Hell."
Bakugo raised his other arm, creating a large explosion, increasing the gravity on them, forcing the two down into the ground with a loud crash if concrete and stones. The force cracked the ground beneath them, shattering All for One's spine as he lay motionless.
Bakugo staggered backwards, collapsing to the floor in a pile of heavy breaths. He noticed Izuku approaching with a limp, gripping his arm tightly. Without a word, he approached All for One, placing a head on his chest. After a minute or so, Izuku let out a relieved breath, a small smile on his face as he whispered "Thank god..."
Bakugo gave a happy sigh as he peeled himself from the floor, coughing slightly. He noticed Izuku moving, nearly falling as he made his way to Inko. With a brush of adrenaline, Bakugo stood, grabbing onto Izuku's shoulder as he struggled to make his way to his mother.
Upon reaching the woman, Bakugo helped Izuku kneel beside her. With a strained whisper, Izuku said, "Go stop the bomb for gods sake."
Bakugo's eyes went wide as he nodded, running over to the controller.
Izuku sighed heavily, staring down at the face of his mother, eyes shut. He breathed shakily as he grabbed onto her shoulder. "I guess I owe you an apology, as late as it may be. You really didn't deserve this, I should have gotten you involved. I guess I should have figured that you would come here, even after what I've done."
"After everything I did to you, you still stayed by my side. After everything, you never let me go even if I never really deserved it. I really have no right to say this anymore and I'm not sure if this means anything but thank you, mum. For everything."
Izuku smiled softly to himself as he stood, walking over to Bakugo who was busy trying to disarm the bomb. "Give it here."
Izuku took the controller, fiddled with the controls and eventually, the timer went away with a few ten seconds left. "Jesus Christ. Longest three minutes of my damn life."
"Tell me about it."
Izuku and Bakugo both laid on the ground, both ignoring the searing pain in their bodies.
"So, what are you going to do now?" Bakugo said quietly.
"Oh, I'm just going to become a hero obviously and be a huuuuuge advocate for Bitch Might."
"Seriously...? Sarcasm now..?"
"What did you expect? I'm not going to let myself get arrested and now I have One for All, I don't have to worry about being quirkless again. Thanks for that by the way, you gave the most 'dangerous' villain a quirk. Nice."
"Do shut up."
"Hey, you asked. What about you?"
"Probably keep training to be a hero."
"Why? Why bother after all this? It's not like you have much of a world to protect anymore."
"Maybe, but I still want to try. You know, it's really weird that you aren't trying to kill me right now."
"Well, sorry if my broken arm isn't exactly up to destroying your face..."
"So, are you going to continue the war? Or are you going to surrender?"
Izuku looked at Bakugo with a cocked eye. "Surrender?"
"Well, your big boss is going to be taken into custody."
Izuku rolled his eyes. "Yeah, no. I don't really know what I'm going to do. It's kinda hard to call it a war if it lasted a day. Though, looking at the city, I would say its justified to call it that. Besides, I have someone I have to make this up to. Finish what I've started, I guess."
"Damn, I though you matured a bit." Bakugo said with a slight chuckle.
Izuku rolled his eyes, looking up at the light ahead of him. "Well, there's my ride." Izuku pushed himself off the ground, adjusting his shirt with a hiss. "I'll leave you to deal with that."
Dabi and Eri jumped from the helicopter running towards Izuku with worry. Eri wrapped her arms around Izuku, earning her a small hiss. "Ah, sorry, I didn't mean to."
Izuku chuckled, patting her on the head. "No, it's okay." Izuku picked Eri up, holding her with his unbroken hand. "Sorry about what happened earlier, I didn't mean to scare you."
"It's okay, I don't mind. " Eri said with a small smile.
Izuku turned to Dabi, noticing the worry on his face. "Its okay, All for One is down. By the looks of things, it seems the heroes are coming to pick him up."
"Are you sure? Do you need a hand?"
"No, I'm good. Hey Eri, how's your quirk doing?"
"I don't know. I think I'm controlling it? Maybe...Umm...Possibly. Why?"
Izuku whispered in her ear, earning him a nod from Eri. "Yeah, I can do that!"
Izuku put Eri down, who ran towards Bakugo. Bakugo sat up with confusion as Eri wrapped her arms around him. Immediately, he felt comfort as his injuries began to heal. "What...? The hell...?"
Eri smiled, running back to Izuku. "Consider it my parting gift." Bakugo looked at Izuku in shock. "You said you want to be a hero still, right? Well, consider this our last act as an alliance."
Izuku jumped onto the helicopter, a smile on his face. "See you later, Kacchan." He said with a slightly sarcastic tone.
Bakugo rolled his eyes with a smile as the helicopter flew away. "I really don't like that guy..."

AUTHOR NOTE:
BEFORE YALL MURDER ME THERE WILL BE AN EPILOGUE SO NO IM NOT ENDING IT ON THAT.
Anyway, thanks for your patience while waiting for this. As expected this was not easy to write. On the plus side, I know a lot more about steel.
Oh and thank you to smoll_boi_2002 on instagram for the fan art :D
okay so seeing as this is the last chapter (if we dont take the epilogue into account.) I have something I want to discuss. So, I wont be starting a new story until at minimum the end of June as I have some very important exams going on. So in the meantime, I had an idea.
Would you want a oneshot series about this book?
It would include things I didn't have time to include in this book like the break in of Endeavour and All Mights agency and fun villian interactions. Kinda like an extra piece of the story I can do In my own time without having to worry about plot.
Please let me know :)
Anyway until the epilogue
Have a good day my dudes
(10000 words jesus christ)
