Chapter 41: They will suffer as I did
AN: This is the longest chapter yet. It's about double the length of the usual chapters. So enjoy! :)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dabi stared at Izuku, shock pervading his heavily scarred face as his mouth dropped far onto the ground. "War...?" Izuku nodded, stepping away from the male, placing himself onto a sofa, patting the seat next to him, indicating to him to sit down next to him. Dabi followed, sitting down next to the significantly shorter boy.
"I don't mean to imply that I will commit a mass genocide. Contrary to the name I was given by the media, I don't want to murder and kill whimlessly. I kill people who need to be killed. But death won't be the main aim for this."
"But, why start a war?"
"It will send a message to the world. They will realise they can't continue to rely on heroes, and will have to look after themselves. And the heroes will realise that they aren't omnipotent. If they realise that villians can defeat heroes in general, it would reform the entire system."
"What's the point? What's your motivation?"
"See, I'm not like Shigaraki. I have my reasons to be a villian and my reasons for doing this. Trust me, I don't want to be a hero of any sort. Hell, even an anti-hero is a stretch. But, I cannot stand heroes pretending to be Gods. Honestly, you guys are more 'heroes' to me than actual heroes."
"Look, I don't know what you think, but I doubt people will follow this idea if-"
"That's where Kacchan is useful."
"Huh?"
"How would villians react if they found an up and coming symbol of peace, who is still weak enough to be destroyed?"
"So you're going to use him as motivation for the villians?"
"Kinda. If anything, war is the easiest way to get out point across, and Kacchan is the easiest way to incite them to fight."
"And that point is?"
"Heroes will never be able to destroy all of us."
Dabi was utterly shell-shocked. Like he had been slapped in the face with this completely ridiculous idea of war. A war between the entire hero and villian world. It would be another world war, like there were hundreds of years ago. Dabi was no stranger to violence, but a war?
Nonetheless, it would be effective.
How the hell Izuku would pull it off would be up to him?
"Well, do you have a plan of any kind?"
Izuku stood, walked over to the desk and rummaged around through the piles of papers. He pulled out a piece of paper which he handed to Dabi. Dabi raised an eyebrow at the paper, then looked at Izuku in confusion.
"It's a manual on how to repair a car..."
"Exactly."
"What's that got to do with anything?"
Izuku took that paper back, and shuffled closer, holding the paper so the two of them could see. "All for One gave this to me the day before he was arrested. It may look like a manual at first glance, but if you pay attention, it's actually incripted."
"Huh...?"
"It takes a bit of general knowledge and inscription codes, but it is actually quite easy to figure out. Here, this part is labelled exhaust. Taking everything into consideration, what do you think this could mean?"
"Umm, Exhaust...the enemy?"
"Bingo. Now, look at this diagram of a cars exhaust system." Izuku pulled a book from the desk in front of them. "Look at this part here."
"Catalytic converter?"
"Yes. Tell me, what does Catalytic mean?"
"I don't know, something to do with catalysts?"
"Sure. So what do catalysts do?"
"Umm, spread up a reaction?"
"Yes, by lowering the activation energy."
"What has that got to do with anything?"
"Think about it. The catalytic converter is connected to the exhaust system. In our case, it's connected to 'exhausting' the enemy. So, putting it into simpler terms, we must exhaust the enemy quickly, using the minimum amount of energy that we can."
"...isn't that a stretch?"
"Maybe. But, this part here, the muffler? This could indicate to do it quietly, ergo we do it secretively. The exhaust part is basically saying how we should tire out the enemy."
"So this is what you have been doing for the past few months? Decrypting this plan All for One had?"
"Pretty much. I figured that the guy had been alive for so long, he would have some better ideas than me. I could combine our ideas into a perfectly formulated plan."
"So we tire the enemy out secretively, quickly and with minimum energy, and that will give us the best chance to win?"
"Pretty much." Izuku shut the book, placing it onto the table back in front of them.
"How the hell are you going to do that?"
"Using the information we collected during the mission."
"Huh...?"
"The database holds information on security, trips and schedules. Information on students allows us to form counter strategies against their quirks. The information in the teachers lounge allows us to figure out who to prepare against."
"But that's just UA."
"That's all we need."
"Huh?"
"UA is the most prestigious school for heroes in training. It holds the best heroes and heroes in training. If it collapses, what kind of message would that send?"
"That we could destroy the heroes with the most potential."
"Exactly, besides there is one other thing."
"What's that?"
"Suspicion and betrayal."
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"I learned some interesting information from Twice. Tell me, if a student was suspected to be on our side, how would that affect the students?"
"They would be paranoid."
"Precisely. So, that's exactly what I'm going to do."
"You're going to plant the idea that someone is working with us."
"I don't have to plant anything. Someone will do that for me."
"And who will that be?"
Izuku smiled, lifting up an video on his phone. It showed Magne, Twice and a student leaving the schools dorms.
"After having the database at our disposal, it was easy to get into the schools wifi and hack a students phone that was connected to it. Apparently, a student saw them, so I investigated them and found this video on a students phone."
"So you're going to post the video?"
"No."
"What? Why?"
"It would be better for him to do it. Oh, that's right." Izuku stood up, grabbing his coat that rested on a coat hook. "I have something to do."
"And that would be?"
"I have a meeting with someone."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It wasn't like he had swapped sides.
He would never join the heroes, especially considering everything they did. However, staying with Izuku was also not desireable. So he wandered. Wandered around further than his powers could reach.
But, soon enough, he would have to get involved. Soon enough he would have to figure out whom he would fight for.
That's why he told Bakugo when Izuku would attack.
That's why he kept everyone out of UA. The media, heroes and villians.
That's why he let a select few heroes to teleport inside the building to level the playing field.
That's why he didn't help.
Kurogiri would stay in the sidelines, until the time came for him to intervene.
You may be asking why he suddenly changed. Why he suddenly decided to go against people who he considered friends. It's quite simple really.
The one person he cared for most was dead.
He was killed by the person he helped.
He was killed by Izuku.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So Bakugo had been effectively kidnapped.
Well, kidnapped was an especially strong word. He had been 'taken into custody' for a little while.
He was sat on a metal chair facing the detective Tsukauchi. Between them was a metal desk, onto of which had papers, files and pictures. Some of All Might, some of All for One and some of Izuku. The detective had yet to speak, instead he just handed him a piece of paper which Bakugo had been instructed to read over.
It was a file on Izuku, which a picture of him when he was in junior high. He was smiling meekly, his shoulders tense and up to his ears. If he was honest, Bakugo missed that quiet side of him. Especially compared to his current personality.
The information detailed his home life, his school life and his 'quirk' which had been marked as N/A. His parents were both marked on their, with his fathers name clearly present, which was quite odd. He had a father, that was a given, but Izuku had said from a young age that he knew little to nothing about him, partly due to his fathers work. It wasn't like he was bothered by it, but, hell he didn't even know his goddamn name.
Bakugo had come to realise how shitty of a life Izuku had. He had no quirk, no father figure, a struggling mother who had to raise a child alone and was horrifically bullied by his only friend. But that was the thing. In his school life profile, it never mentioned bullying, instead marking him as a 'problem child'.
That pissed Bakugo off exponentially.
"Hey, detective."
"Hmm?"
"You have a file on everyone, right?"
"Correct. It's mandatory for teachers and governors to fill one out for every student."
"I want to check something. Could you grab my file?"
"Why?"
"If I'm right, then this entire system you have is completely flawed."
Tsukauchi paused, and nodded. He stood up and left the room, leaving Bakugo to read over the file again.
It also stated Izuku's personality. Quiet, anti-social and isolated. This, again, was incorrect. He wasn't anti-social or isolated. It was more that he was scared and hated. Bakugo lifted a hand up to his mouth in thought. This couldn't be right...
This wasn't Izuku.
He would know, he knew him better than anyone else.
Tsukauchi returned, handing Bakugo the file. Usually, they never gave out confidential documents like this. However, if this helped bring down Izuku and the league of villians, it was the best choice they had.
Bakugo looked over the school life portion of his file. His jaw dropped, as he raised his hand to his mouth in shock.
-Brilliant student.
-Gets on with most students.
-Promising quirk.
-Very studios
For one, he didn't get on with his classmates. They feared him, so a lot of the time, they didn't go against him, unless there was a teacher present. Everything in the file detailed how good of a student he was. But here was the thing. It was so unbelievable that Bakugo didn't want to believe it had been printed onto paper.
-had dealt with Izuku targeting him well, and continues to not be affected.
"What the hell is this...?"
"Hmm? Oh, your teacher said that he had attacked you, which caused you to be hospitalised. Supposedly, he used your quirk against you, and caused aggravated assault, which he was charged for."
Bakugo remembered something Izuku told him. It had been a long time ago. Way back when they fought in the USJ. But it stuck with him. And it finally started to make sense.
///////////////
"Oh please. Kill you? I was trying to help you Kacchan! Then the heroes punished me for it!"
"Punished you? Did you get a little telling off? Don't lie to me!"
"Is that what they told you?!" Izuku said between laughs, before becoming deadly serious and looking Bakugo in the eyes.
"You don't know shit"
/////////////////////
"Was this with the slime villian?"
"I believe s-"
"BULLSHIT!"
Bakugo slammed his hands down onto the table, causing a loud ring to sound through the room. He clenched his fist tightly as his bowed his head. His body shook slightly, of anger or due to a flashback, Tsukauchi couldn't tell.
"What are you talking about?"
"YOU TOLD ME! EVERYONE OF YOU TOLD ME THAT HE WASN'T PUNISHED! YOU FUCKING LIARS!"
Tsukauchi rubbed the back of his head. "Well, he tried to hurt you. It was by law that we had to charge him."
"HE WASN'T TRYING TO HURT ME!"
"What?"
Bakugo gripped his hair, tugging at it slightly, eyes wide. "We was trying to save me! He was trying to get the villian off me, it was a fucking accident! Yet, all of you shifted the blame onto him! That's why he is like this now."
"How do you know this?"
"I've known the guy for years! He always tried to help people even if he got hurt. He wouldn't try to kill me."
"Then, tell me why he became a villian."
"Are you serious?! I just told yo-"
"That wouldn't be enough. We have hundreds of children with Criminal Records that have never done something like this."
"It's my damn fault."
"Excuse me?"
"I bullied him. Badly. He told me himself. This is his revenge against everyone who turned away from him. So tell me this..."
Bakugo lifted up the files, pointing to the school life section. "Why the hell doesn't it say what I did?!"
Tsukauchi was shocked. What was he supposed to reply to that? This entire flow of information was a shock to him. They had an entire team working to defeat Izuku, starting with his reasoning. Yet, here was this kid, telling him everything they had been searching for.
"That's my point, detective." Bakugo slammed the piece of paper onto the desk. "This paper is entirely biased against him. It favours me because I have a quirk that can make me successful. He didn't. They wanted me to be successful at his expense."
"What are you saying?"
"Izuku turned out the way he did because of people like us. People who favour strength over people. In a way, he's right. This whole damn society is flawed. But he's doing it the wrong way. He shouldn't be doing this."
"So what are you suggesting?"
"Well, why don't we start with the reason you called me here. You want to talk about All Might, don't you?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Kaminari sat at his desk in thought. He replayed the video over and over, unsure about what to do. He was going to expose Uraraka, but to who? And when?
He didn't want to freak anyone out any more than they already where. But, the presence of a villian right in front of them was dangerous to them as well.
What to do...
"Well, well, well. Hello Kaminari."
Kaminari's head shot up, as he paused the video. Right in front of his face, staring at him was a masked figure, with a faint mist bellowing out the eye sockets. He instinctively jumped back, and tried to run to the door. As he tried to get to the door, a barrier came between them, causing his to slam directly into the wall. He screamed out to his friends, pounding on the wall. The man smiled.
"That won't work. I already soundproofed this area. No-one can here you. Though, using two quirks is a pain. Really takes it out of me."
"Why are you here?!" Kaminari yelled out, his back pushing against the wall as he tried to get away. The power eminating from him was exponential. He could feel it as he stared into his emerald green eyes that glowed brightly.
"I want to have a chat. I will not harm you. But if you try to leave, or call out to anyone, I will kill everyone in this building."
Kaminari's eyes grew wide, as he stared at him. His masked was scratched, cracked and slightly bloodied, but it was obvious who it was. It was Genocider standing before him, the serial killer responsible for All Mights death. He also knew why he was here. But how did he know?
"Okay...Let's talk..."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Izuku had instructed Dabi to tell everyone in the Vanguard squad what he had told him. Most were shocked, others were excited if anything. The idea of a war that could destroy the entire hero society sounded terrifying but incredible at the same time. Who knew what it would bring?
"So, where is he now?" Spinner looked over at Dabi, a questioning look in his eyes. "I mean, he is meant to be resting right?"
"He went to meeting of some sorts. He said he has an idea on how they can divide UA."
"But we told him to rest! If there are meetings, Dabi or Mr. Mask should do it!"
"Toga, my name is Compress. But, I'll agree with you. He should have let us go."
"He said it's something only he could do. Apparently, he is the most recognisable of all the villians here. That's what will make his plan work."
Compress sighed, leaning back in his chair gripping the bridge of his nose. He actually wasn't wearing his mask for once, so his cold features were broadly displayed. "For once I want that kid to have a damn rest..."
"I mean, he can't keep going like this. His body will burn out." Magne sat up slightly, raising an arm to accentuate her point. "Can't we do something?"
"Well, we could chain him to the be-"
"Something that doesn't involve chains..."
Everyone grew silent. Every idea they had couldn't account for Izuku being able to teleport away. Toga leapt out her seat smiling. "Let's-"
"No."
"You don't even know what I was going to say!"
"Exactly and I don't want to." Dabi pulled Toga back down, so she was sat on the sofa again. She pouted and looked away. Compress sighed, looking at a few of the papers. "Well, why don't we just make things easier then?"
"Huh?"
"Simple. Collect some of the things Izuku needs to make this plan work. That will take some of the weight off of him."
"I guess, but what should we get?"
"There is a list here. We could just get somethings off it."
"Like what?"
"Well, files from the major agencies, such as Endeavour's and All Might's agencies. Also, meeting with associates from around the country. Talking with the local Mafia and their leader Overhaul. Most of the meetings Izuku will need to do as those are out of our capabilities. Dabi, Toga and Twice can go to Endeavour's agency as you are the best with infiltration of high class, hero bases. Magne, Spinner and I can go to All Mights previous agency as we have the most experience with hand to hand combat which is necessary with some of the heroes. The majority are power based after all. Muscular will need to remain here to heal. While Izuku deals with meetings, we will deal with collection."
Everyone paused, thinking it over before grinning widely. "Yeah!"
"Okay, we will need to go one at a time to make sure someone is always here to give out additional orders. Dabi's team will go first."
"Yeah, sure."
"Good. I'm going to check on Muscular. You can leave when you are ready."
With that everyone disbanded from the office, with Dabi, Toga and Twice going to get some supplies and weapons to prepare for their mission. Spinner went to the Vehicle Hangar where cars, trucks and vans enter through a platform which raised up and down. He helped move boxes, food and guns from the hangar to their respective locations. Magne joined slightly after, grabbing box after box while chatting with Spinner on the way.
There was always something to do in the league.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Well, I think you know exactly why I'm here."
Kaminari quivered slightly as he sat on his bed, as Izuku had instructed him to do. Izuku strolled up to the door, locking it. "You want to kill me..."
Izuku whirled round, his disbelief masked by his...mask. A loud laugh sounded throughout the room, sending chills up Kaminari's spine. "You really are an idiot. I literally told you I wouldn't kill you. Sorry, but you're not worth the effort."
Honestly, Kaminari didn't knew whether to sigh in relief or be offended by this comment. He was glad he wasn't going to die though. "So, why are you here?"
"Again, I think you know." Izuku looked over at Kaminari's phone, which was still on the desk, faced upwards. Kaminaris eyes widened as he leapt towards it, grabbing it and shoving it into his pocket. Izuku shook his head. "That won't do you any good. I already have the video saved."
Izuku lifted his phone up and started playing the video of Uraraka. Kaminari recoiled backwards in shock. His jaw quivered slightly as Izuku took a step forward. "S-so this is about the video. What are you going to do?"
"What are you going to do?"
"Huh?"
"What will you do with the video? You have evidence of someone on my side hiding with you. Yet, you haven't done anything."
"So, Uraraka really is working for you...But what about your argument at the USJ."
"Simple. We acted to remove suspicion on her."
"B-but why?! Why is she doing this?!"
"Did she tell you how she is a hero for money?"
"How did you...She said she only told us!"
"Because I pay her. I give her money in return for information. Information on all of you."
Kaminari took another step back. He knew this already, but hearing it from him was...
Worse.
"Why are you telling me this...?"
"It's best that I explain it to you. Besides, no-one would believe you. How could they believe something like this, when it's about their best friend?"
"They would believe me!"
"This is Uraraka we are talking about. She is a good actor. She fooled you for a while. She can fool any of you."
"I'LL SHOW THEM THE VIDEO!"
"If you were going to do that, you would have done it ages ago. You won't post it, and Uraraka will continue to be my spy. Oh, and if you ask her about it, let's just say she isn't as friendly as me. She will kill you without hesitation."
Izuku turned to the window, smiling through his mask. "I just came to warn you not to confront her. It would blow her cover if you died. That would be quite inconvenient for me."
"And why's that?"
"Because she's the reason I can get into UA easily. She will be the gateway to our next attack."
"...you're going to attack again?"
"Of course. UA is the reason so many of us are suffering. So they should suffer too."
Izuku jumped onto the window frame, turning back round to the boy. "Well, see you soon!"
Izuku jumped backwards, collapsing out the window. Kaminari ran to the window and looked out, seeing Izuku had disappeared. He collapsed to his knees in shock of what just happened. However, Izuku made a serious oversight. Kaminari smile slightly, and pulled out his phone.
"End recording."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Bakugo looked at Tsukauchi with a serious look. Tsukauchi sighed, searching his pocket and pulled out a piece of paper, handing it to the boy. Bakugo lifted an eyebrow, grasping the paper out of his hands and read it over. It was a phone number. "And whose is this?"
"Gran Torino. He told me to give this to the inheritor of One for All."
"Is that the quirks name?"
"Yes. I can't give the full details as I know little. What I do know us that it is an ancient power passed through generations. All Might gave it to you as he died in the Hope's you could defeat All for One."
"Yeah, he said that. Wait, but All for One is already defeated."
"I'm talking about his quirk."
"He has the same name as his quirk?"
"Yes. He was the ability to steal quirks from people. As the name suggests, all quirks for one person."
"And that's what he gave to Izuku?"
"With a select few he kept for himself, he gave Izuku his power as he knew his power was dwindling. His body was breaking down, so he gave his quirk to suitable heir."
"And that was Izuku..."
"Unfortunately, Izuku's new power, combined with his intellect, has meant he has evaded us. We can't find the base or Izuku or his power. That's where you come in."
"Huh...?"
"If you learn to harness your new power, you could help level our odds of victory. As you said, you know Izuku better than anyone, so you have the best likelihood of getting him to stop."
"See I would but everytime I use it, my bones basically collapse. I don't know how long I can use it for until my body breaks."
"Gran Torino will help you use your power more effectively. He said something like this would happen."
Bakugo looked at his arms. Because of what happened with Muscular, his bones had broken so badly that it tore the skin encasing it. His muscles were fine but his skin had been heavily scarred because of it. Luckily, nothing was disfigured or misshapen. Well, that's what the doctor said, as his arms were still wrapped in bandages.
Tsukauchi noticed this, and cocked his eyebrow. "Also, you were one of the students that were attacked a while ago."
Bakugo tensed, looking away from the detective. "Yes, I was. What about it?"
"I just need to know if you remember anything about it."
Bakugo let out a loud sigh, before looking back down at his arms again. "It's a bit blurry. I remember a muscular guy with one eye. His quirk affected his muscles...I think. And...Oh shit."
"What?"
"Izuku. He snuck into the school. The muscular guy was acting as support."
Tsukauchi chocked on his coffee before staring at Bakugo in shock. "W-what?! We never heard about this!"
"Have you gone into UA?"
"No. We figured it was just an attack on students as we found you in a park."
"Wait wait, did you say park?!"
"Yes? Your unconscious bodies were found in the park. Some bystanders called the police."
"But that doesn't make any sense..."
"Why? Where were you?"
"At the entrance of UA. We were going to stop Izuku."
"But...why were you found in the park?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Izuku breathed out, scratching the back of his neck. It was risky, but he had to take a rest in the woods near the school. His head was pounding, smacking the sides of his cranium causing an immense headache. He realised that he hadn't recovered fully, but this much pain after a slight usage?
"Jesus..." Izuku covered his eyes, the sun irritanting his retinas. He was hiding in a tree as to avoid being discovered. It was a bad idea to use two quirks at the same time, but it was the only way to guarantee him not being caught.
He coughed slightly, catching his breath back as he though over everything that happened. He purposely slipped in false information which may get relayed to UA's higher ups. For example, targeting UA first. Of course, they were the prime target. However, he never planned to start this war by attacking UA.
No, he had other ideas.
Of course, it would take a while to organise everything. He still had to talk to Chisaki about uniting their forces, gather information on pro-heroes and sort out any issues in the actual league.
And there was the issue of Kurogiri.
He still hadn't been located which was becoming a real pain in the ass. For a while, Izuku had suspected that Kurogiri had something to do with the heroes that suddenly appeared in UA. For one, they had to get past Muscular and even then, they should have prioritised saving Bakugo and Kirishima.
The only option was that they were there against their own will.
Izuku stood shakily, grasping a hold back on his quirk. He had to teleport back to the base. Being a high class villian, it was near impossible to go anywhere without being caught.
Izuku raised his hands, concentrating souly on the bases location. When he said teleporting, he wasn't being completely truthful. It was more like he 'popped' into another place. Like he did a high jump and landed into his location in half a second. It was quite hard to describe.
Izuku released his quirk and 'popped' upwards. He opened his eyes and found himself in the office. Though he wish he didn't, as he was immediately hit with a wave of nausea, causing his to fall to his knees, holding his head.
"Well, I wondered when you would be back."
He felt an arm around his back, pulling upwards. Izuku looked to the side to see Compress, practically lifting him and acting as support to Izukus buckling knees. Izuku groaned, giving a weak wave.
"You know, you could have told me not Dabi."
"...jealous much.."
"No, but I am the one monitoring your health. Which seems to have once again fallen."
"Sorry..."
"Yeah,yeah. Come on." Compress pulled Izuku onto his back. Izuku removed his mask, passing it to Compress who laid it on the table and laid his head against Compress's shoulder. Compress sighed and began to make his way to the infirmary.
Along the way, they passed Dabi's group who all ran up to him. Toga called out loudly to the two. "Izuku?! What the hell happened?!"
"Take a guess." Compress shook his head, as Izuku lifted an arm in a comical defense. It was clear to see he had overused his power again, as his eyes glowed brighter than they had in the morning.
"He teleported back in again. How many times have you teleported today?"
Izuku raised three fingers to Compress who shook his head. "Given your weakened condition, you concentrating your quirk to your legs for the 'jump' as you describe it has overworked them. That's why you can't stand on your own."
"..I thought that was because...I felt like shit."
"That too."
Toga furrowed her eyebrows, smacking Izuku on the back. "That's for scaring me! Jesus Christ, just rest! No more quirks for a while, okay?"
Izuku lifted his thumb as he buried his head into Compress's shoulder. "Okay, when I get back, I'll have to look after you to make sure."
Izuku looked at Toga with a questioning look. "What's the catch...?"
"Find out later!" Toga bounced away, running to the hangar. Dabi and Twice just shrugged their shoulders and followed her.
"She is going to stab you...you know that right?"
"Yup, just prepare the damn bandages..."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Okay, I've asked for a team to be sent to the school. We will have some information in a few minutes..."
Bakugo didn't reply, just continued to think deeply. When they were defeated, there was no-one around. Who could of taken them to the park?
"Bakugo? I have a question."
"Huh? What?"
"How did you know that Izuku would attack?"
"Oh, some misty guy came into my room when Kirishima...Oh...FUCK!"
"What?!"
"I know how we got to the park!"
"Well...?"
"It was Kurogiri. He told us when Izuku would attack UA. Actually, Izuku came to us a while before that. He told us what he was going to. He...he also knows about All Mights power."
Tsukauchi's face bore a look of despair as Bakugo told him this. "He knows you have One for All...?"
"Yes...?"
"This means...He's probably got an idea on how to take you down. That, or he is going to target you..."
"Fuck..."
"Okay, okay, we will have to plan around that. So, this Kurogiri told you when he would attack?"
"Yeah...it was really fucking weird too. I thought he was on Izuku's side."
"Its possible that he felt betrayed due to Shigaraki's death...or was kicked out..."
That was a good thing. Of course, it meant that Kurogiri was probably wandering around but he could join their side. Then they could get some valuable information
In the corner of the room, the phone rang out a familiar tone. Tsukauchi stood, walking over to the phone and picked it up. He nodded solemnly, putting the phone back down.
"What...?"
"They found the corpses of 10 missing heroes."
Bakugo stood, surprised. "Ten?!"
"How the hell can ten heroes just die like that?
As it on cue, a man burst through the doors of the office. His eyes were wide with glee but a hint of fear pervaded them. "Mr. Tsukauchi!"
"What?"
"Look at this!"
The man held up an IPad. It displayed a video of sorts. Bakugo instantly recognised what it was. "That's our dorm..."
The video displayed three people, two of which were adults leaving the dorm. Bakugo recognised them as Villians who helped capture him a while ago. But there was another person there. Bakugo was shocked, and a little angry at what he saw.
"Do you know who that student is?"
"Yeah, that's Uraraka. She's in my class."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Uraraka laid on her bed, peacefully listening to music. Their lesson would be in a few hours so she had some free time to do what she wanted.
Suddenly, her phone began to blow up with notifications. Curious, she opened her social media, looking at the video she had been tagged in.
..........
...what...?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The detectives saw as another video was posted. This time it was an audio recording. The three of them watched the video of the recording attentively. Bakugo instantly recognised Izuku's voice, which he pointed out to the detectives.
He felt his mind break as he heard the conversation between Izuku and, what sounded like Kaminari. Izuku told him how Uraraka was on their side, and that she would be the gateway to their next attack.
In all honesty, he couldn't believe it. After everything she did and told him, it was hard to believe this was true.
Was she being fake this entire time?
Tsukauchi was less confused, instead looking at the man with a serious look. "Listen, send many units to UA's dorms. Find the girl and bring her to me. Search the surrounding area to see if Izuku is still around."
"Yes sir!"
"Bakugo, I need to leave now. You are free tk leave."
Bakugo didn't respond. Instead, he merely nodded and ran out. He ran as fast as he could in an attempt to get to the dorms before the police.
He had to have a talk with her.
Izuku laid in the hospital bed, scrolling through his phone in boredom. Compress had forced him to stay in the infirmary, as if he could go anywhere anyway.
His legs were still incredibly weak, so he couldn't stand very well.
Compress had asked him what his meeting was about. Through further convincing, Izuku finally caved, explaining to Compress what had happened with Kaminari, and what his end goal was.
It was... interesting to see his reaction.
He knew it was reckless, going into UAs dorm room directly, again. But it really shows how bad their security is.
As he was scrolling through news stations, he saw a new article appear.
"UA STUDENT FOUND AS TRAITOR?!"
Izuku held back a laugh. He expected it to happen but that quickly?
Oh well, it was easier this way.
It just meant they would have to move faster than they initially expected.
Soon, he would make them suffer as much as he did.
