Chapter 20: He never said anything
Izuku strolled into the bar, stretching his arms slightly as sat down on the bar stools. Kurogiri was in front of him, glass in hand, looking down at him expectantly. Shigaraki was on the stool next to him also looking at him. "Well...?"
Izuku took the notebook from his bag and put it on the table. "There is a facility connected to the school which is far away from the school site. It's a disaster zone of sorts. In about a week, a first year hero class will be going there for a practical lesson. It's secluded, far from the pro heroes. The most you will have to deal with is 2 or 3 teachers and the students. As first years, it should be easy enough to take them down or take them as hostages. However there quirks are quite powerful, so we will need to plan around that. Also...."
Izuku took the coffee from Kurogiris hands and sipped it, being careful not to burn his tongue. "All Might is a teacher at UA.". Shigaraki's eyes widened in shock. The top hero was teaching students? "He may be at the facility that day. That alone shows you need to be cautious."
Shigaraki brought his hand up to his lip, in deep thought, before a large grin broke out over his face. "But it would be a good time to test out the Nomu.". Izuku nodded. "That's what I thought too. It will need to be one of the stronger ones, just in case All Might is there."
Kurogiri put down the glass and picked up the notebook Izuku put on the desk. "I'll inform All for One to bring a Nomu and the other factions so they can fight with us. However, how did you get this information in the first place?"
"I talked to one of the teachers"
"Won't that teacher tell the school about what you asked? This means they will be on their guard." Shigaraki looked at Izuku in confusion. It's quite risky to outright question a teacher and essentially give away their entire plan.
"Don't worry. I'm going to release the guy when the mission is done. Even then if he says anything, it wont be useful to them. The only thing he knows is what I look like with my mask, which won't matter after the mission. After all they would have already seen my mask."
"So I assume you're coming."
"Yeah, might as well. At the very least, it will give me some information on the students."
"Fair enough. Be careful though. Don't forget you are quirkless and we are going against some of the more powerful quirks."
Izuku shrugged, leaning back in the stool slightly. "Never stopped me before." Shigaraki looked at Izuku, a look of intensity bore over his face. "You need something Shigaraki...?"
"You said release."
"Huh...?"
"You said you would release the teacher you talked to. So you kidnapped him?"
"Yeah...?"
"That's a bit much for only information dont you think?"
Izuku rolled his eyes. "Shigaraki.... we are literally villians who kill people. Now is not the time to question my methods of getting information."
Izuku stood, adjusting his jumper, and walked over to the door. "Sorry for the flying visit but I got shit to do."
"Yeah yeah, dont want to interrupt your 'meetings'."
Izuku left, heading out to the meeting place for one of his clients. They wanted information on one of the pro heroes whom they had a grudge against. Though their reasonings didn't really matter to him.
If anything, it would be interesting.
~~~~~~
Izuku stood in the alleyway, looking down at his phone with his back to the wall. His mask hung on his face, reflecting off his phone screen. He had finished with his client, got the money and watched the guy leave. Izuku made a mental note of the guy, just in case he saw him on the news or something like that.
"HEY!"
Izuku turned around to see a hero, dressed in a kind of jumpsuit. "Yes...?"
The hero pointed at a sign, which read restricted area. Izuku looked at the guy in disbelief. "You really think I didn't see that when I came in here? Even for a hero, you're dense..."
"EXCUSE ME?!"
The hero walked up to him, grabbed him by the collar of his jumper. "EXPLAIN YOURSELF!"
Izuku looked down. "God you're annoying..."
Quickly, Izuku brought a knife into the guys abdomen. A look of despairity shone over the guys face as he looked Izuku in the eye. "If you couldn't tell that I was dangerous from the mask, you're dumber than I thought."
In a quick slice, Izuku cut a straight line from his left to right side, causing the guy to collapse in agony. Tears streamed from his eyes as he looked Izuku in the eyes a final time. "Though, I'm not one to cause people an agonising death." In a single move, Izuku brought the knife to the side of the guys head, finally ending his suffering. "That's more of your style. Isn't that right, hero?"
Taking his phone back out, Izuku rang up Kurogiri. "Hey, can you make me a portal to the apartments?"
"Can't you walk?"
"Well unless you want me to leave bloody footprints straight to a villain's lodging, that's fine."
Sighing heavily through the phone, Kurogiri opened a portal in front of Izuku. "Thanks."
He said as he walked into the portal.
Bakugo sat on the sofa, looking at the TV screen. He had finished all his work and studying he had to do, which left him with a bit of free time. His mother was in the kitchen, peeling potatoes, and his dad was out shopping. As he scrolled through the channels, he saw a news reporter and the headline 'Another hero found dead'. Frantically scrolling back to the channel, he watched as the reporter described what was suspected to be the 32nd victim of the recent string of murders that were showing up over the city.
This one supposedly had a large wound in the abdomen and a wound on the head. Once again, they were precise lacerations, which targeted the vital organs for a quirk death. Though no one had seen a bloody guy leave the alleyway where the guy was found. The reporter recommended that unexperienced heroes or heroes in training should not go into secluded areas alone. This guy and the hero killer were targeting pro-heroes.
This new guy was also given a nickname, like the hero killer. He was called 'Genocider'. This was given by the media as reference to his quick yet brutal means of killing heroes. Also his body count was enormous, putting him higher than most serial murderers.
Bakugo wasn't scared of him though. Honestly, he wanted to meet the guy so he could defeat him himself. One of the heroes Genocider had killed was a hero Bakugo used to like when he was younger, purely for the similarities in their quirks. If he defeated him, he would surpass him.
His mum looked over at him, also looking at the screen. "I swear Katsuki, you better be careful out there."
"I will, Old Hag"
"What was that?!"
"Nothing, I'm going for a run"
"HEY, DINNER IS ALMOST READY!"
"ILL BE BACK IN TIME, SHUT UP!"
Bakugo went to his room, put on his exercising clothes and set off. He wasn't really sure where he was going. He wanted to clear his head of all the noise about Izuku, heroes and Genocider. Everyone was concerned that he would get hurt, but that was impossible. He would never get hurt by a damn psychopath. That he was sure off.
As he ran, he saw a familiar set of long green hair and came to a halt. He was at the fence bordering the park him and Izuku came to a lot where he saw Izukus mother sat on a bench, staring at nothing.
~~~~~
"Ummm. Miss Midoriya?"
Inko looked up to see a familiar set of blonde, spiky hair standing in front of him.
"Hey Katsuki..." She said solemnly, returning her gaze to the floor. Bakugo noticed this, and sat himself beside her. "Are you ok? We haven't heard anything from you in weeks."
"He left me you know?"
"Huh..?"
Inko gripped her knees, eyes glistening as tears sprung from the sides of her face. "Izuku left me alone. He hates me for not believing in him. He left because he hated me."
Bakugos eyes widened, looking at the woman. He couldn't say a word. The most he could do was grip her shoulders, pulling her into an embrace. He wasn't good at consoling even on the best of days, but Inko sure as hell needed it. The woman completely broke down, shivering and sobbing in Bakugos arms. "I just want him to come back home, Katsuki. I miss him so much. I love him more than anything."
Bakugo looked down in shame. He saw Izuku. He knew he was alive. But could he tell her? Could he tell her what her son had done? Her heart would break. Not to mention, he knew he was partly the reason Izuku probably left. There was not really any other explanation for his sudden action of leaving.
Inko continued to cry, still quietly begging for her lost son to return. It looked like all the emotions from the past few months just overwhelmed her and came pouring out.
After a while, Inko pulled away, wiping her eyes, and looking at Bakugo. "I'm glad he had you, you know. Maybe he hate me, but I'm glad he had a friend who he cared about."
Just like that, Bakugos heart broke. Shattered into pieces as the word replayed over and over on his head. Friend...? No.
No no no no no no no.
He...
He wasn't...
Inko stood looking at the stunned boy. "Thank you Katsuki for everything. I'm going to head home. I...have things to do." And just like that she turned away. Bakugo stared at where she stood, in shock and confusion
After about 10 minutes, Bakugo gripped his head as reality set in.
He
Didn't
Tell
Her
She had no idea what he did to Izuku. She had no idea the suffering Bakugo put him though. Izuku never told anyone. He took everything Bakugo did and never complained. Never said anything. He never fought back. He never hurt him in return. He never reported him. He didn't do anything. He never said anything.
HE DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING.
He didn't...
.....
Bakugo never cried. He never cried even when he was hurt by the 11 year olds when he was 8. He never cried even when he fell of a log into a river. He never cried. No matter what.
He....
Never....
never...

Authors note:
Sorry for the shorter chapter but I felt this was a good place to leave it. God that ending was hard to write though.
Like inko never deserved this.
Also soft boy Bakugo.
Anyway, I hope this chapter was ok and that's about it.
See ya later.
