Violet watched from the VIP couches as the Minister of France, Elio, flirted with the female bartenders. She watched as he tipped them money in their bra's and panties, smirking at the way they smothered him with their sexual touches.

Her upper lip curled angrily, she paid them to serve, not to flirt with the people she brought in for her personal fun.

"Quite exquisite this place, isn't it?" a man from the VIP area beside hers talked loudly over the pounding music. "First time here?"

Violet turned her gaze from the elderly man, who dressed to impress, and her gaze took over the stage where the entertainment was. She stood quiet for seconds, leaving the man intrigued as her eyes roamed through the naked women.

"I'm a friend of the owner." she lied, still looking towards the stage. "It is quite, exquisite. However, I'm afraid I do have to go. Have a good rest of your night."

She stood from the red leather couch, needing to leave before he realized she was the Minister of Magic, spending her night in a place like this. Or worse, before he found out the truth or questioned why she never payed for whatever was handed to her.

It had been a long time since she'd stepped a foot in the place, for the very reason of protecting her reputation in those dingy Daily Prophet papers.

Her hand flattened the back of her hair before wrapping her fingers firmly around it and pushing it over one shoulder, revealing a whole side of her neck. She grabbed her coat from the arm of a doorman and threw it on her body as she made her way towards Elio.

"I've decided to end my night here." she sighed, running her hand down the hem of her coat. "Will you be alright here on your own? There's plenty of spare bedrooms in Malf- Nott Manor, you're welcome to use one."

"Thank you for the offer." Elio rose a glass of liquor and leaned forwards to place a kiss on her cheek. "If I decide to take you up on that, can I phone you?"

Violet felt her heart drop to her stomach, her lips parted slightly to get a word out. But just as she was about to say something, his hand gripped the back of her hair and she was pulled into a hot kiss. She felt his hand press against her lower back, pulling her body against his as both of his hands gripped her to stay close.

Her hands stood gripping his biceps, her lashes batting with shock. Their breaths united and synced as the tips of their noses sunk into each other's skin.

It made her knees weak just by the way he took her bottom lip between his own and bit down on it like she was treat. He sure reminded her of France, all French boys kiss with such a passion it was exhilarating.

His hand loosened its grip on her hair as their kiss slowed down and their lips pulled apart. She gasped for a breath of air and felt as he rested his forehead against hers, catching a breath of his own.

"Don't answer." he sighed loudly, caressing her flushed cheek. "I prefer a mystery."

Violet laughed quietly at his words, opening her eyes to meet his emerald green ones. They were already on her and it made her feel butterflies in her stomach.

"I'll see you sometime soon then." Violet smiled, backing away from him. "Monsieur La Maistre."

He watched silently as she walked away with such elegance, having everyone open doors for her and he realized. She was fooling him all night but of course, all this attention, the free things, the teasing.

Elio lifted his glass and cocked his head to the side, scolding himself almost, for not catching it on time. His lips curled into a smirk, releasing a chuckle and he simply chugged the rest of his drink, turning back to the bartender to shout over the music.

"How can I get back to France from here?"

*******

Humming as she dug into her purse for her wand, Violet walked up the steps to Blishen-Nott Manor, not even shivering as snow fell on her hair. She gripped the end of her wand and tapped it against the door handle, letting it open up for her. Her hand brushed the hair away from her face and her jaw dropped as she saw what was filling the foyer.

She shut the door behind her and walked forward, shock taking over her face as she spun in a circle to admire it all.

Hundreds of red roses placed in vases all around, filling every single inch of the floor and even leading up the staircase. Rose petals scattered on the steps, leading upstairs from the entrance where she stood in awe.

"Thomas?!" she shouted out, listening to her voice echo the high ceilings. "Are you home?"

Violet took a step forward, watching her feet so she was careful not to kick anything over. She stood at the end of the stairs and looked up, wondering if anyone was home or even if this was for his lover.

The sound of clicking footsteps behind her caused her to jump in fright and she turned, catching Karla with an envelope in her hand. She approached Violet, careful too not to knock anything over as she extended the envelope out for Violet to take.

"Mr. Nott asked me to deliver this to you when you came home." she had no smile on her face but almost a serious one. "He asked for me to also apologize for the incident that happened earlier at your workplace."

Violet took the envelope in her grasp and smiled to herself as she began to untie the red ribbon around it.

"Thomas is so thoughtful." she said aloud, giving Karla a quick glance. "Did it take him long to do all of this?"

Karla furrowed her eyebrows, leaning forward to speak. "Sorry Madam, but Sir Thomas has not been around since morning. This is from Mr. Theodore Nott, his father."

Her heart dropped hearing his name. She clenched her jaw and looked around, frightened for Thomas to come home and see all of these arrangements and find out they're from his own father. Much worse, it frightened her that Thomas could find out of Violet's and Theo's love they once had for each other.

Violet ripped the envelope in her hand, not sparing a second to read a single word on it before she tossed it on the floor. The pieces created a pile over the rose petals and she dusted her own hands.

"Get as many workers that are awake." Violet breathed in, raising her chin. "This place needs to be rid of these roses before sunrise."

"But Madam-"

"But nothing, Karla!" Violet rose her voice, angering at all of this madness. "That was an order! Clean this mess up now!"

Violet opened her hand bag, searching for her cellphone as she stormed up the staircase, dialing numbers. She held the phone up to her ear and walked through the corridor until she reached her door and swung it open.

As soon as she opened the door, she saw there was no need for using a phone. He was already there and it angered her even more.

She dropped her phone back into her bag and tossed the whole thing on the drawer beside her door. Her face was wrinkled with all these angry expressions and he knew it but he still stood there, with a puffed chest.

"Get the fuck out!" she groaned loudly, balling her hands into fists. "You are my husbands father! You chose that title the day you decided to ruin what we had by giving my hand to Thomas!"

"Violet you have to listen to me when I say, I love you." he put his hands together, begging her to listen to his words of sorrow. "I will do whatever it takes to get you back, truly. Even if it means waiting for months, years, I'll do it. Because that is how much I want you!"

"Goodness Theo! Stop lowering yourself for me!" she groaned and stopped him from getting on his knees before her. "After what I told you in my office earlier, you should hate me! I hoped you would!"

"But I don't." he replied in a cry. "I would never hate you! I could never!"

Violet grew tears in her eyes and she tossed her head to the side, looking at the man she once poured her heart to, standing in front of her heartbroken. She remembered the feeling of how in love they were not so long ago. How she longed to be held in his arms as he read to her and played with her hair. The butterflies she felt in her stomach when their lips touched even for the hundredth time.

She let her eyes shut and with the movement, a single tear drop slide down her cheek. Her lips pressed together and she began to feel his bodies warmth against her. The smell of his cologne invaded her smell and she inhaled it, remembering when she would dress in his satin blouses after a night together.

"Theo." she whispered, opening her eyes and tilting her head back to look at him. "I loved you so much."

The tip of her cold nose ran across his and she let her hands caress his cheeks, bringing his forehead down against hers.

"But you're not mine." Violet continued in a hushed whisper. "And I am not yours. I am Thomas' whether I like it or not and we can't do anything about that."

"Just tell me you still love me." Theo breathed in her air, letting his own hands hold her face. "Tell me you still love me and we can figure it out. We can be together in secret like we were before, no one will have to know."

Violet gasped for air through her quiet sobs and her hands slid down his chest until they fell by her sides. She shook her head against his and continued to do so, knowing she could never accept such a thing; Violet wanted love, someone to be with in any place at any time and she knew Theo wanted that deep down too.

"I can't." she sighed heavily. "You deserve better, I can't ask you to stop your life for me. Find somebody who will love you openly Theo. A woman who you can hold hands with in public and kiss in front of crowds, not me."

Violet slowly reached behind her, Theo too lost in his crying and his hands finally caressing her that he didn't care to notice. She gripped what she was reaching for and her sobs become more louder and heartbreaking.

"I'm so sorry but you need to move on." she gasped and brought her wand up to his head. "I love you, Theodore Nott."

"Violet-"

"Obliviate."

Theo took a step back and his lips parted as the memories he had of them together slowly left his mind, following a white line into Violets wand. The memories of how he became to love her left first and she cried harder as the love vanished from his eyes but she wanted what was best for him and that wasn't her.

"No, that's not what it means. Look at me!" Theo empties his hand and grabs Violets face, wiping her tears with his thumbs. He inches closer to her and clenches his jaw. "You are more than good enough. I know so many people who want you and they'd choose you a thousand times over."

-

Theo chuckles and steps on the gas, causing Violet to yelp and laugh loudly for the first time all week. As always, it's Theo picking her up and making her laugh with the stupid things he does. Even if it's just speeding in a car, it makes her laugh.

Violet rolls down the windows and lets her hair out of her ponytail so it can fly around and make her feel free. The fresh air instantly hits her face and she almost feels sober and normal for just a couple of seconds. She turns to look at Theo and she throws her head back, letting her body relax. Maybe after all, she just needed a car ride with the windows down and the wind blowing in her hair.

-

As he sits back up, he pushes Violet back on the couch and crawls on top of her before hugging her body tightly like a child. "It's not too soon to say I think I love you right?"

Violet continues stroking his hair, feeling his breath fanning against her breasts. She swallows the lump in her throat and closes her eyes, wondering if she should say what she's feeling.

"I think I love you too."

-

Violet walked forward, holding Theo's heavy head up after draining him of memories. He shut his eyes tiredly and the tears on his lashes fell down his cheeks, breaking her.

To him now, Violet Blishen was nothing but his daughters annoying best friend. She was around but he didn't speak to her, he didn't feel for her, she was not his burden. She married his son because they were happily in love and he supported it. He never felt a glimpse of affection for her and now she's just his boss and his sons wife, nothing else.

Theo collapsed on the floor from the amount of memories taken from him and Violet sighed, disgusted with herself because she swore, she would never use her magic to manipulate the way Adam would use his gift on her. She swore that the way he controlled her would never be the way she controlled someone else but she just did, she changed someone's life.

The worse part is that she did it to Theo.

"Karla!" Violet cried and sobbed loudly as she bent down to pick up Theo. "Help! Somebody help me!"

She knew what she had to do, there was always a solution bad or good and she chose bad. It's against what she wants but she couldn't tell the truth and have someone tell Thomas or worse, the entire wizarding world. Violet had to lie and she had to save both her and Theo.

Violet dragged Theo's body towards the door and she continued screaming for help as footsteps grew louder. Her room door swung open and Karla along with three security from outside her home ran in, breathless. They looked down at Theo but back up at Violet, concerned about their Minister more.

"He was asking for help for a while now." Violet lied and shook as tears ran down her cheeks. "I should've listened when he said he was alone after I moved Thomas into this home. He wanted Thomas to spend more time with him and now he's drunk or drugged and I don't know what to do."

"Don't you worry madam." Karla comforted her, pulling her away from his body and into her arms. "I will make sure no one knows about this. A scandal is the last thing this family needs, you just relax."

They both watched as the men picked up Theo's body and took him away, Violet panicking because she lied and it would haunt her for the rest of her life.

She wiped the tears on her face and turned to Karla, grabbing her shoulders. "Karla, I need you to tell Thomas to run the Ministry for me while I'm gone." she spoke clearly. "You must tell him when he gets home, don't wait till tomorrow."

"Where are you going Madam?" Karla rose an eyebrow, suspicion growing.

"France." Violet gasped. "I must speak with someone."
