"That's it?" Theo huffed angrily as he used a handkerchief to dry the wet stain on his thigh. "You orgasm on my thigh and you go back to sitting on the other side of that desk, kicking me out!"

"Do I need to make myself any clearer, because it seems like you understand me correct?" Violet sat straight in her chair, her head falling back so her eyes followed him around the room. "Was that not enough for you to leave me alone? That is what you wanted is it not?"

Theo's lips curled slightly – feeling intrigued by her attitude – and he stopped in front of her desk. His hands slid across the wooden desk as his body hovered closer to hers. Violet, barely breathing, started to bite down on her bottom lip. Her cheeks flushed the second Theo's hand lifted to caress her chin and lift her head so their eyes could meet.

"I overheard your assistant arranging an opening for you tonight at that certain location." Theo bit down the inside of his cheeks as his eyes pierced into hers. "You haven't been back to that place since its opening. Why tonight?"

As those words slid off Theo's tongue, a giant smile grew on her face – a devious one. She knew what she had to say and she knew how he'd react.

"Maybe tonight is the night." she let her tongue slide across his thumb as it caressed her lip. "A visitor is in town."

Violet snapped her teeth together, causing Theo to jump back in fright with a clenched jaw. His face burning red with rage at her words. She swore not to step a foot back into the place until she wanted something more until she craved too much to hold in.

"Of course, you're so welcome to come." Violet cocked her head at the man before her. "That is if you don't mind watching it happen."

"You're lucky I don't slap you across the face and take you right on this table." Theo flared his nostrils as his hands balled into a fist at his sides. "You need to remember who you belong to and how you used to scream my name, begging me not to stop."

"And yet you're the one still constantly looking for me." Violet snarled, making her lip curl with anger. "I may have screamed and begged but you were my replacement. Trust me, it took a lot of courage to hold back Draco's name all those times."

Instantly, Theo's body stomped back, his face turning pale as if a ghost had spoken to him. His chin twitched as he fought to hold back the tears forming in his sad eyes.

His heart felt like it had shattered into millions of pieces and as though blood was staining his shirt. It felt damp but he hadn't noticed that his tears had begun dropping onto his chest, making it noticeable how hurt he was by Violet's words.

Of course, Violet held her ground, knowing what she said was a lie, but she felt satisfied because it was sweet revenge. He broke just the way she did when she found out about his deal with her deceased father. She still couldn't find a way to forgive him for what he did to her because it hurt her worse than Draco leaving did, she had imagined a future with Theo, she was happy and he stripped her of her happiness in a single sentence, exposing his true intentions.

However, it hurt her to watch how red his eyes were behind the pool of tears that were continuously running down his cheeks. The pouting sounds he was making as his bottom lip sunk in between his teeth to stay strong. But not even that stopped the words from coming out of his mouth.

He held his hand up to his heart and shook his head, letting the tears hit his leather shoes.

"You wound me." he sobbed as his eyes lifted to look at Violet through his wet lashes. "I know you don't mean that. What we had; i-it was real. I-I know it was."

"You and I must have different definitions of real then." Violet swallowed the lump in her throat as her chin lifted high in the air. She used her thumb to wipe the smeared lipstick under her lip as she spoke to him again. "All you came for was to thank me, I believe it's time you absent yourself. I have m-much more important things to do."

Violet starts moving random things on her desk, trying to ease the tension of looking at him or continuing to utter a word. Yet his presence still burns her skin, and she looks up once again, meeting his gaze.

"I'm sure you do." Theo's voice broke as he wiped his tears with both hands. "How idiotic of me to believe I could have made things any better." he opened the door but continued speaking across the office. "Nothing will be better as long as you continue being here. Just go back to France where you belong."

"I'll be sure to write that down." she retorted back sarcastically. "My schedule is quite busy to fit a move into it."

Theo didn't waste his time saying anything back to the woman who hurt him just now. Instead, he slammed the door in retaliation, leaving Violet with her eyebrows roughly furrowed and her lips parted as if she was going to say something.

It was shocking what had just occurred. She felt the greatness of successful revenge, yet her heart felt wrong to let him walk out with tears. There was nothing she could do anymore, she had to stand by her words.

-

New York City.

-

In the corner of a busy street in Manhattan, New York, a man in an all-black suit was holding a suspicious newspaper while a waitress refilled his coffee. The waitress couldn't help but read the visible words on the back of the newspaper that was blocking her from seeing the man on the other side of it. All that was visible was the blonde hair that hovered slightly over the paper.

"What is an Auror?" she chuckled as she asked the question while setting the coffee pot down unwelcomely on the table for two.

The newspaper made a loud noise as it slammed against the table, shutting with the impact. Her view of the man wasn't good, he had angry grey eyes through the lenses of his glasses and his jaw was clenched with pursed lips.

"Is it custom to be so nosy in this city?" he spoke with his heavy accent, blowing cigarette smoke from his plumped lips. "Gosh, you muggles need some manners. I've grown quite tired of obliviating you all daily."

He removed the cigarette from between his pearly white teeth and burned it out calmly on the ashtray next to his croissant. He took his time to clean his hands before reaching into the pocket of his blazer to grab an object that was strange to the woman still standing by the table.

Brown eyes widened on her slim face as he held the wand between them and before she could try to step back, she was stopped.

"Obliviate," he muttered through his barely parted lips.

A white, glowing line stretched out from the end of the wooden wand, making its way through the air in a slow movement. It was invisible to those nearby, but he watched calmly as it sunk into the skin on her forehead while he sipped his coffee with his ankle propped over his knee.

The waitress shut her eyes slowly, inhaling through her pierced nose while he lifted his newspaper once again and ignored her.

"Oh, I swear I thought you needed more coffee." a chuckled sentence caused him to roll his eyes. "I'll be back when it's gone then. Enjoy."

"Cheerio," he whispered behind the paper, hoping for some calmness until a wrinkled hand crumbled the top of his paper.

The hand brought the paper down to the table and the person took a seat on the empty chair. They didn't hesitate to drink the coffee meant for him or even finish it before sighing loudly and slamming the cup back down on the small dish.

"That is the first sip of coffee I've had all day," she spoke with exhaustion. "This whole no coffee  thing, totally not worth it."

"Not until you see the results would you think about its worth." he pinched a piece off his croissant and dropped it into his mouth, still speaking with a mouth full. "How's Scorpius and Genevieve have they written from their honeymoon location?"

"They have not." she folded her hands on the cotton tablecloth. "However, I'm sure they will soon. The first night of the honeymoon is just so new and exciting. Don't you remember Draco?"

"Not really." Draco shrugged, fixing his falling glasses to sit right up on the bridge of his cold nose. He turned to look out at the snow-covered sidewalk, and he felt burdened to be nice. "I do remember our walk in the snow the night of our wedding, however."

Astoria's face lit up, her cheeks flushing red as Draco turned to look at her across the circular table they sat at. She reached out for his hand, and he fought the urge to pull away, holding his breath as she caressed his skin with her thumb.

"I remember we found out about Scorpius two weeks later." she smiled widely. "You were so happy to have a child so you can spoil and cherish him."

Draco slowly pulled his hand away and forced a smile. "I was blessed with a boy like Scorpius," he told the truth; he loved his son. "It's a good thing he took after my looks, eh? Look at him now with a wife like Genevieve."

"I hope to hear news about grandchildren soon. Don't you Draco?"

He didn't. It made him feel all but young to think of himself as a grandfather.

"Of course." he lied with a convincing chuckle. "Hope for a boy too. We need the Malfoy line to continue do we not?"

"Yes, yes we do."

Astoria smiled, awed about this pleasant conversation she was having with her husband. No arguing, no insults, or sarcasm. Just them sharing emotions they both had. It was calming for her yet so disgusting for him. He couldn't wait for a work call.

-

England, Several hours later.

-

Violet shut her office door, the click of the lock echoing the now empty Ministry.

The skylights brought in only dim moonlight and darkness from the night sky as Violet made her way across the glass bridge to the elevators. Her heels clicked loudly against the glass, and she dared not to look down because it still frightened her from how far up she was.

She held her coat over her forearm and her hair was bundled up with a claw clip, helping her stay focused on the work she was doing.

All day, Violet couldn't stop replaying the argument she had with Theo in her head. Several times she found herself reaching for the knob of her office door, wanting to go apologize but she always scoffed and walked back to her chair.

From now on, she knew she needed to change. She was known for being stepped on and having everyone make decisions for her, but she wanted to change that. She wanted people to fear her and take her seriously so apologizing was not the right thing to do. What she did was right, it had to be.

"Violet!" Thomas' accented voice echoed on the floor, causing her to stop in her tracks.

She turned on her heels and faced her husband as he ran towards her, still in his Aurors uniform but with messy hair just like hers. A wave of guilt rushed through her body because of her encounter with Theo earlier but she tried to brush it off as Thomas continued to approach her.

"Hi," she whispered as she smiles kindly up at him.

"Hey." he returned a bright smile. "I thought you'd be home already, it's almost midnight. Is everything alright?"

It was curious, having him care for her that way. He had never asked about her feelings or day since they were set to be engaged. This question threw her off, she was left with her mouth open but no sound coming out.

"E-everything is just fine," she spoke with shock as her eyebrows raised. "And you? Is everything okay with you? I hope I didn't give too much work to have you staying in this late at night."

By now, they have both begun walking side by side with each other as they strode towards the old elevators she refused to remodel.

"Merlin, no." Thomas chuckled as his hands folded behind his back, his eyes landing on her side profile while she pulled open the elevator gate. "I was just moving into the new office you gave me. It's a lot more spacious so I wanted to add some things, I didn't know how late it was until I hung my clock on the wall."

Violet laughed quietly as they stepped into the elevator, catching herself instantly and cringing at herself. She pursed her lips and looked down at her feet with disgust.

"Well, I hope everyone was satisfied with their new workspaces," she adds as the old machine goes down. "Maybe it made them like me more."

Thomas turned to look at Violet with a smirk on his face. "Violet." he laughed quietly. "I think the stunt you pulled in the meeting room made them worship you. Maybe even fear you but it was honestly... badass."

"Really?" Violet smiled to herself, feeling happy that she was being accepted as the Minister. Maybe Theo was wrong. France was her past, she belonged where she was now and no one could change that anymore.

"I'm glad to hear that." she reached for the claw clip in her hair and shook her head as her hair fell past her shoulders. "I should argue more often then."

Thomas breathed in, gasping quietly as he watched her fix her hair down while they walked out of the elevator into the ground floor. He cleared the lump in his throat and caught up to her before she was gone any further.

"Are you going out?" he questioned as he watched her apply a fresh layer of red lipstick. "It's quite late Vi-"

"Oh goodness, Thomas." Violet rolled her eyes in annoyance. "When can we ever have a decent conversation and just end it there? Stop caring about me, you don't need to pretend! I don't love you, and you don't love me, we don't have to try to!"

She was wrong about one thing; he did love her. He had told her that night on the Astronomy tower and since then nothing has changed. His anger couldn't overshadow his love, not even now when she said the words.

I don't love you.

"No, of course, don't let me hold you up," he replied angrily, walking into a firepit to leave the Ministry without her. "Have fun tonight then."

Violet watched as another Nott left her without getting the last word. Thomas disappeared in green flames that scrapped her cheeks because of how close she was. And just that made her realize how close she must've been to Thomas before he had backed away.

Her nose scrunched in disgust before she, stepped into the open flame, disappearing into a gust of wind. She held her coat tightly in hand, careful not to let its network into a different location.

When the wind around her stopped, her boots sunk into a pile of snow, causing her to shiver and toss her coat back on. She had forgotten about the snow; it had slipped her mind with all the chaos today has brought upon her.

Violet heard muffled music from the building on her left and she began walking towards the sidewalk, where people turned to check what the building was for. She hugged her torso as she walked past the security at the front door, no need for identification or money. Her body met with the heat of the inside, along with the lustful music playing over the chatter.

She ignored the dancers that dragged their bodies on the sweaty metal poles and the girls whose fingers were inside of them on stage while men and women caught their gaze.

Instead, her eyes met with the French man at the poker table who was shouting with excitement at the cards he was dropping. She let her coat get taken off by the waiter as she began making her way towards the man with a fresh glass of champagne in her hand.

One foot in front of the other, she walked her way to the table surrounded by middle-aged men. Her hand slid across Elios's back as he bent over the table and a large smile grew on his face. He turned to her and placed kisses on her cheeks, a kind French gesture she never grew tired of.

"Are you winning?" she smiled, her hand still resting on his back. "Or are these men stealing your money, darling?"

"I do believe the owner of this place is stealing my money." he chuckled as he rose a glass of expensive Whiskey in the air between them before chugging it. "The drunker I am, the richer they are."

"I'll be sure to tell the owner." she bowed her head as she clinked her glass with his. "Now, why are you at the Poker table and not enjoying the view on stage?"

Elio looked over her shoulder at the women touching themselves on stage, dripping onto the money being thrown at them. He laughed before looking back down at Violet who was intensely staring back at him.

She rose her eyebrows, waiting for a response but instead, Elio simply turned away and continued playing.

"There are men if that is what you prefer?" she questioned with a hint of jealousy in her voice. "Is that...what you prefer?"

"Of course not." he scanned over his cards before turning back to Violet. "I'd prefer for you to touch yourself for me. Do you...touch yourself?"

Violet swallowed heavily, her chest rising and sinking noticeably because of how nervous that question made her. The dealer at the table was shouting the win for Elio and yet he zoned it out, focusing his attention on Violet, desperate to hear her answer. He wanted to know if she did and if she'd do it for him.

He grabbed her hand that was clenched at her side and placed a wet kiss on the tips of her fingers. Her mouth gapped open in shock, and she let out the quietest moan that gave him enough pleasure.

"Have these fingers been inside of you, Violet?" he inched closer to her. "Have they given you pleasure and made you scream?"

"Yes." Violet gasped, making him drop her hand and chuckle.

"Yeah?" he replied in a hushed whisper, turning back to his cards but still speaking. "Then you'll remember how to do it when you go home thinking about me tonight. Now if you will excuse me, I'm off to the bar for another Whiskey."

"Tabs on me," Violet smirked as he pushed past her, purposely hitting his chest against her shoulder. "I heard this place is just so expensive."
