(AREUM POV)

"Ajusshi, you can drop me at the nearest subway station. I'll walk to Hongdae today. No need to wait for me. I'll walk home by myself." I instructed my driver.

My name is Choi Areum. I'm a 98 liner. I was born in a rich Korean family that owns a lot of business here in Korea. Growing up itself was very hard as I always have bodyguards following me around. But the last two years, I had convinced my family that I am fine by myself. Besides, due to my own safety, my grandparents told my parents to not show me in public while i'm growing up. They wanted me to have a quiet life and normal life at least. But the whole of Korea knows that the Choi family have a daughter and a son. My brother had always been shown in public. So many people had made theories about me too. I am glad that my grandparents instructed my parents to keep me hidden as I could be a little free compared to my brother. I'm still being treated like the heir everywhere I go just that people do not know who I am.

*flashback*

"I will be fine. Besides, no one recognized me outside. Having bodyguards always following me around itself is a hassle. And, I am already an adult. Let me prove to you guys that I can do it and follow my dream." I convinced my parents and grandparents.

"Okay. We will asked them to not follow you as much as before. But we still will have people following you just in case. And we will not stop you from following your dream but like what we said we will not help you in achieving it. You're on your own in that like you wanted. We will not interfere with it. We wanted you to know that we still welcome and consider you to be the heir of the company still." My father said to me after the heated discussion with them.

*end of flashback*

That's how it started two years ago. Without my family interference, I am trying my best to follow my dream which is to be in the KPOP industry. My family already warned me that it's a very difficult road. Although my family do have business relations with big kpop agencies in Korea but I don't want to be someone who got in just because of my family. I wanted to be recognize as myself. I'm glad that since I was little, my family had sent me to learn music and from that day onwards I had always been so in love with music.

For the past two years I had trained so hard and after graduating school I will start to attend for audition.

"Agasshi, please call me anytime you need anything. I will be near. Han Kyung will be near too." My driver told me before he stop the car to the nearest station. Han Kyung is actually my personal bodyguard. He's been there for me since I was in middle school. He followed me around but from a distance where others wouldn't even know he's actually following me around.

"Don't worry. I will! No need to wait for me. Make sure you eat your lunch ahjusshi." I remind him before I went out of the car.

"You too agasshi. Don't forget to eat." He shouted to me as I ran off to the station. I waved at him happily and gestured my hand for him to leave and not to worry.

Just like usual, I'm going to Hongdae - the place where Korean youngsters like to hang out and very lively always full with musics and arts throughout the area. A lot of musicians come here to show their talents and most of them get to be well known artists in the industry.

The whole day I was practicing at the academy to improve my skills.

"You had improved so much Areum and you're totally ready for the audition. I really don't understand why you still haven't gone to audition yet. You are totally ready since the first few months you started here." My instructor told me after we finished the class.

"I told you I wanted to finish my school first and learn as many as I can." I smiled to him.

"Yeah. But you are already too good. You are even better than some kpop idol out there." He laughed. "But I'm proud to be your instructor this whole time." he patted me. "Well,.. you know how much I don't want you to join the big three as I don't want someone as talented as you being wasted to join them just like that. With your looks and talent, they sure are eyeing you too. Hm,.... I have few friends that had keep an eye on you too actually. But they're not from the big three. They are having an open audition next week. Since you will graduate soon, let me know if you want to try that one out." He informed me with glowing eyes hoping that i would agree with him.

"I'll think about it." I answered short. "I'm going to go now." I waved to him.

"Are you going to perform at the street again?" He asked.

"I still have some energy left." i shouted before I leave the academy.

"Don't forget to eat dinner! And please think about it!!!" He shouted back as I'm leaving.

Just like usual, I will perform randomly at the street just to gain more experience. Honestly everytime i performed, i feel very ease as no one knows who I am and just judged me based on my performance. It's either they enjoy it or not. And I get to see people's reaction on my talent too.

I reached the place that i usually performed with group of friends that I made at Hongdae and seems like they already started performing.

They waved at me as I arrived while they're still dancing. They were busy dancing to BTS - Boys in Luv. I was busy getting ready as they told me my turn will be next as some people waiting for me to perform. As we always performed here, we already have like fans waiting for us to perform. Some people do recognized me. Little did I know that there's someone watching.

"Annyeong everyone. Tonight I will sing a mellow song as the weather is nice for ballad songs. I hope everyone will enjoy." I said before start my performance. I covered an english song titled Say you love me.

After I finished singing, I put my guitar on the side and getting ready to dance.

Everyone cheered as I stood up from the seat.

I covered 4MINUTE - Hate song for today as I feel like dancing an upbeat song.Everyone loved my performance today. I feel so happy being able to perform while other enjoying their day watching and listening to me performing.

As I was dancing, I saw Han Kyung my bodyguard giving me a scary glare with his hands gesturing someone eating. I just remembered that I had forgot to eat all day long and he was mad at me for forgetting. He's actually giving me the signal to remind me to eat.

"Oppa, I'm going to leave after this. I'm hungry. I haven't eat all day long." I informed the leader of the group.

"Okay. No problem. You can call it a day. Besides, you always come here to perform since last two years Areum. Eating is much more important. Just go after this." He said.

"Thank you oppa! You're the best!" I cheered.

"See you tomorrow Areum-yah!" The boys waved me goodbye.

"Bye! See you guys!" I waved back to them.

I packed my bag and walk to the nearest restaurant. As I walked I felt like someone actually following me. Is Han Kyung oppa following me? But why is he so near. Usually Han Kyung oppa will let me know if he's going to walk near me. I hurried my steps and the person also hurried his steps.

"Excuse me..." I heard the person behind my back said towards me.

I stopped and looked back. He stopped too. He looked so familiar.

I saw that Han Kyung oppa also very near to us as i looked back. He signaled that he got this but I gave him signal to stop coming as I think this person just needed help with something not meaning any harm.

"Yes. May I help you?" I asked him.

"You performed so well just now. Are you a trainee at any agency perhaps?" He asked me curiously.

"Thank you. I'm not actually. And who are you?" I asked him. He does look familiar but I do not know from where. He wear a decent black long coat with all black shirt, pants and carrying a black bag too.

"You do not know who i am?" He asked me back.

"You do look familiar but I can't remember where." I answered him while scratching my head.

"Not a trainee anywhere? But seriously you did great job just now." He complimented me again.

"Thank you... And..." I thanked him but I couldn't even finished talking as suddenly there's a group of girls stopped not to far from us.

"Hey, is that Jung Kook oppa??" I heard a group of girls that passed by say out loud.

"WAAAAAA!!! JUNGKOOK OPPA!!!" Then they screamed and came to us.

I was so shocked with whats going on. Jung Kook, i heard that name before. Wait... It's Jung Kook of Bangtan Sonyeondan or in short BTS.

They always have all kill songs and are very popular now. No wonder he looks familiar. I do listen to them but i don't have specific bias.I just know one member Rap Monster as he's a very smart guy. I don't really pay much attention to Kpop groups members specifically as i wanted to stay professional in the industry. My instructor did mentioned that out of all the idols Jung Kook is a member that All the TOP agencies wanted to cast before as he got the looks, the talent and very good in dancing. I felt bad not recognizing him. He did looked very shocked as I said he look familiar but I do not know him.

All the fans were busy talking and wanting to take pictures with him. They had pushed me away and more fans coming now. Not knowing what to do, I just walked away and went to the restaurant as my stomach growling with Han Kyung oppa following me. He went near me as he saw the group of fans pushing me to go near Jung Kook.

As I was walking to the restaurant, I just realized that Jung Kook had actually complimented my performance and enjoyed it. Suddenly I feel like I had accomplished something as he actually acknowledge me.
