It was early in the morning when Haneul was already walking to school. The wind was cold and chilly, making her dig her hands into the pockets of the big jacket she was wearing as she kept repeating over and over again the words she would need to remember for the exam. She took a deep breath, mouthing to herself what she just memorized when someone called her name, she looked up and saw him a few steps away, with that big white smile of his. His hair fell perfectly down his forehead, soft and silky like always. She smiled widely and ran to him, making him giggle as soon as she wrapped him in a tight hug.
"Good morning" He whispered against her neck, giving her goosebumps.
She stepped back still with her arms around his neck, their eyes locked immediately and she couldn't help but smile when she saw his cheeks softly tinted in red because of the cold, something typical in him that she found extremely adorable. Even when a thick scarf was around his neck, he could never escape from the signs his body gave when he was cold.
She stood on her tiptoes and pressed her lips against his, the feeling made the place feel a lot warmer for them, even in the middle of the streets. She pecked him over and over again, quick little pecks that made him smile at her, cause he thought she was the cutest girl in the world.
"Good morning. I missed you" She finally said, lifting her hand and brushing his bangs softly to the side with her fingers. He flinched, making her brows furrow in confusion.
"Your hands are freezing" He chuckled, and she followed. The truth is that she didn't even notice, cause whenever he was around she wasn't able to feel anything bad.
She moved her hand away. Rocky wrapped his arms around her waist, looking down at his girlfriend with so much love it couldn't be more obvious that he was really into her.
"I'm sorry" She responded, now pressing her palms against his chest that was covered by a warm coat. "I didn't think it would be this cold" she confessed, shrugging.
That was all she needed to say for Rocky to take off his scarf and place it around her neck. She looked at him confused, but at the same time she felt relief because of the lingering heat his skin had left on the cloth.
"Is it better now?" He asked, placing his hand on the top of her head, stroking it gently.
"But you will be cold" She said, pouting. Rocky chuckled, shaking his head.
"I'm okay. Now give me your hand" He demanded. She tilted her head, but did as he said. He grabbed her little hand between his, rubbing it and blowing them with his hot breath. She looked up at him in amusement, her eyes going smaller at the gesture. However, she didn't say a word. A little smirk formed on his lips before he leaned in and pressed his lips against her forehead.
Rocky immediately moved Haneul's hand and introduced it into his pocket with his own, intertwining their fingers and giving her the warm she needed. They soon started walking to the school that was a couple of blocks away.
"Thank you" Haneul said, resting her head against her boyfriend's shoulder as they walked close to each other.
Rocky and Haneul had been dating for three years at that time. The story behind their relationship was fun to tell, cause everybody knew how much Rocky struggled to gain the courage to ask her out, so when he finally did, his friends wouldn't stop mentioning how proud they were, which made him embarrassed and annoyed, but Haneul found it adorable, and his best friend always got a good laugh when it came to annoy him.
As soon as they walked into the building, they went to the dance room where Rocky had practice. Haneul's classes wouldn't start in a couple of hours, but she was there earlier just to see him practice. He took off his coat and prepared himself to warm up, she sat at the corner of the room on the floor, holding his coat tightly as he stretched.
"Will you practice alone today?" She asked, making him turn his face to look at her.
"I don't think so" He said, standing up again and stretching his arms this time when the door cracked open. The both of them turned their heads and saw a tall figure walking in.
The pale skin along with his bright blue hair made it almost impossible for people not to notice him everywhere he went.
"Good morning" He said with a smile as he walked towards Haneul, just to place his stuff on the floor.
"Hi Yeonjun" Haneul smiled when the blue haired guy patted her head gently, smiling at her.
"Hello, Haneul" He responded before he walked towards rocky, shaking his hand and giving him a quick hug.
Yeonjun was Rocky's best friend since they were six years old. They met through the thing they loved the most, the biggest thing they had in common, and that was dancing.
He was a really nice guy and as far as Haneul knew, he was easy going as well. He was a really great dancer even though his style was completely different from Rocky's. There wasn't a single day where they didn't go to that room to dance. They liked to go to contests together, but it seemed like Yeonjun saw dancing more as a hobby, whilst Rocky wanted to make a career out of it.
The boys started dancing a while after. They were in perfect sync, it was like they were connected by the feeling of the music. Haneul watched them completely mesmerized, always remembering in the back of her mind how this was, as well, the reason that brought her and Rocky together.
Flashback
Three years ago, she skipped class for not reason at all. She just didn't feel like listening to her teacher speak non stop that day. She decided she would just walk around the school until lunch time, and that's when she heard a song she really liked. The curiosity she felt took power of her and made her take a look of what was happening in that room.
She tried her best to not make any sounds as she hid behind the wall, and that's when she first saw him. Dancing beautifully in a way she had never seen before. The music was soft and his movements were smooth. It was like seeing those movies where princes always danced with princesses. She thought that was a foolish comparisson, enough to make her chuckle mentally.
He kept dancing, it was obvious that he knew about ballet, but she confirmed it somehow when she absentmindedly stared at his muscular thighs. Her heart started to race, her cheeks started to burn, but everything got even worse when he stopped and lifted his shirt to wipe the sweat off his forehead.
Her mouth was agape, and her stomach felt like going in circles. He had a really serious expression on his face, but he was handsome, oh, so attractive, she thought.
He then saw her reflection in the mirror. His eyes went wide and he turned his body to look at her, a panicked expression now took place on his face.
She gasped, stepping back.
"I'm s-sorry" She said, stuttering. She felt incredibly ashamed that she was caught staring at him like a creep behind a wall.
His brows didn't seem to stop furrowing. He was panting and it looked kind of intimidating. Haneul instantly thought that he was angry, so she bowed and ran out of the room.
Rocky stood there, still staring at the spot where she was previously. He was embarrassed that she was watching him at practice, where he felt he made a lot of mistakes.
He looked down at his feet and scratched the back of his neck. She probably thought he was a really bad dancer and that hurt his pride.
But why did he care? He didn't even know her. He had never seen her before.
However, he still felt something strange.
Why was a pretty girl like her there? Why didn't she say a thing? Why was she hiding?
Rocky ran his fingers through his hair and sighed, grabbing his bag and placing it on his shoulder before leaving the room so he could meet with Yeonjun, who was waiting for him at the cafeteria.
End of flashback.
Haneul shook her head so she could focus in the moment. Yeonjun and Rocky were about to finish and they were all sweaty.
Something about the way her boyfriend danced still did things to her. It still made her hypnotized, it still made her heart race.
And that was because she thought that seeing him was all it took to fall into his charms. He was a masterpiece in a human body. Whatever he did, it was beautiful. He always worked hard and he had a vision of life where he could see the beauty even in the smallest things. If she wasn't dating him, she wouldn't believe someone like him could be real.
Rocky walked towards her and crouched, stroking her head lovingly with a little smirk on his face that made Haneul's heart flutter. He was drenched in sweat, and still trying to catch his breath, but he looked like he had just descended from heaven.
"It's time for you to go to class" He said. She smiled and nodded at him, even when she didn't want to leave yet.
Rocky stood up and helped Haneul to do the same. Yeonjun was standing right next to Rocky, and she felt like a complete smurf between them. If Rocky was taller than her, Yeonjun was even worse, cause he was at least 3cm taller than Rocky.
"Seriously, how can you both be so gigantic?" She pouted, making them chuckle.
"We're not gigantic, you're just tiny" Yeonjun joked, making her roll her eyes and punch him slightly on the chest.
Haneul considered Yeonjun her friend. They could talk about things and laugh together, but he was Rocky's best friend, so she didn't really know him that well. Whenever they hung out, it was with Rocky and that was completely fine for her. They were happy when it was the three of them and Rowoon, the other best friend of Rocky who was older than them. If Rowoon wasn't around, Yeonjun would easily find someone to bring so he wouldn't feel like a third wheel.
"Okay, I'm leaving now" Haneul said, standing on her tiptoes and ruffling Yeonjun's blue hair, but when she felt how wet it was because of the sweat, he made a disgusted face. "Eww" She laughed, drying her hand with Yeonjun's shirt.
Then she turned to Rocky, stood on her tiptoes again and pressed her lips against his. She loved his lips so much whenever she kissed him she felt like she wouldn't be able to pull back.
But there was Yeonjun to do the favor.
"Okay lovebirds, please remember I'm third wheeling and stop. It's okay I'll take care of Rocky while you're absent, I'll kiss him for you" He said, placing his arm around his friend's shoulders.
Haneul raised an eyebrow, and rocky pushed him as he giggled.
"You wish, blueberry" She joked, Yeonjun just winked at her in response.
Haneul chuckled and grabbed her bag. She waved at them and exited the room.
She shook her head to herself. She loved the kind of friendship they had. It didn't matter what the other said or did, they would never feel uncomfortable when it came to each other.
They were like brothers. Rocky loved Yeonjun and Yeonjun loved Rocky, they were inseparable. Haneul was aware of that, she loved Rocky so much, whoever he loved and made him happy, it would make her happy as well. She felt at peace knowing her boyfriend had someone who will always got his back.
She knew her boyfriend was the most beautiful soul she had ever met, and how much love and respect he deserved.
Now that their fourth year anniversary was coming, she knew she had to make it special for him, to show him how much she loved him.
And she knew who would help her to make that happen.
