The room was deadly quiet. The young detective's forehead lay in wrinkles as he starred down at his notes as the other one whipped sweat from his. He didn't seem very concerned unlike his partner.

Keith had no idea what he had told them that had left such an impression on them... After all he had just found the bodies nothing more. Even now with the knowledge he had he couldn't see what was so special about this piece of information... especially not to the point it could unsettle the younger man.

Keith wasn't even upset anymore- at least not about Tom and the other two, Anita was a different story though. It seemed hard but Keith didn't know the two man and Tom- well Keith hadn't liked him that much to be really moved by his passing. Though he had to admit it still irked him that it was apparently a suicide. Tom hadn't been the type for that... even if he had killed the guy that had looked like Brian and Mr. Lewis, it would have been far more his style to make up excuses than to write a note saying "I'm sorry... I did it all for Brian" and kill himself...

Maybe the detective wondered about it too, despite not saying a word and neither did Keith really know how to continue his testimony. Everything that had taken place after they had found Tom had just seemed like a very sick joke- one Keith desperately wanted to forget and he still couldn't understand how somebody could do this... He knew there were some crazy fans out there, but to this degree?

Insane didn't even describe it.

Keith needed a drink, though he believed there wasn't enough alcohol in the world to forget this and neither did he have access to some at the moment. He doubted the detective would fetch him some whiskey if he asked them nicely, all he could do to calm his nerves was light another cigarette. His package was slowly running empty, but the end of his story was near as well. Keith really couldn't tell them much, for once in his life he was just an innocent bystander.

Smoke filled his lungs and his nerves calmed down. Soon he would be out of this room, go home to Pattie and move on from this horrible night...

"Beside Mr. Keylock's dead body we found Miss Jones in the room as well," Keith broke the silence. His tone calmer than he really was, but he just wanted to get this over with and the faster the better... Though he knew the next chapter of the story was a longer one.

"We hadn't seen her immediately, because we were too focused on Tom and his suicide letter, but we could hardly overlook her, when she was just laying there passed out on the floor, not too far off from Tom..." Keith continued and the detective just nodded, signing him to go on with his testimony. " She had a wound on her head, but was still alive..."

"You made her regain consciousness and questioned her."

It was a fact, not a question.

The detective knew obviously what was to come, but Keith knew he still had to tell the story nonetheless.

Keith and Charlie had picked Miss Jones up and brought her down to the dinning room, where Janet had a look at her. Mick hadn't bothered to help them, clearly to upset by what he had witnessed to be of any use. Keith didn't want to say the singer was weak, when he as well struggled with what he had seen, but Mick could have been a bit more of a man about it. It was hard on every single one of them, not only him.

Yet neither the girls nor Frank asked what they had found upstairs, their faces had probably told them enough not to ask questions and the most important matter currently was anyway to get Miss Jones to wake up and survive until midnight.

The clock hit 11 when Miss Jones eyes finally opened. Wide with panic and fear. It took them about 20 minutes and several glasses of wine to get her to calm down at least a bit. Keith wasn't sure if he should be relieved about it or worried. Whatever had happened to her had clearly upset her... a lot.

Though not everyone was as caring as him.

"What happened?"

The whole room fell silent at Frank's words and Miss Jones face fell. Hair covered it for the most part, but it wasn't enough to hide her miserable expression.

"I-I don't know..." she whispered.

Charlie patted her leg calmly. "You don't have to force yourself..."

Miss Jones shock her head, suddenly with a very sad expression on her face. "You have a right to know the truth... I didn't think it was right, but I needed the money..."

She didn't say anything more for a moment and neither did anyone else dare to ask. A sigh escaped her lips.

"I-I'm teaching Swedish in my free time to pay for my studies... It's not enough, but better than nothing... I- 3 months ago I was addressed by a gentleman, who went by the name of Mr. Lewis... He offered me a large sum of money if I helped him organise a dinner and well would translate everything for Miss Wohlin... I had no idea what this dinner was about, but it sounded like a great deal." She took a deep breath. "I accepted and did everything he asked of me... Contacted you, organised food, drivers and so on... The job really didn't seem that bad. I of course had no idea about his true motifs, you have to believe me!" She suddenly cried out and Anna pulled her closer to herself to calm her down.

"Nobody is accusing you. It's fine."

"I-I didn't even know who Brian Jones was... I found out by chance..." Miss Jones mumbled a bit quieter again. "I mentioned the house to somebody at my university and they told me about the musician that died there and that it might have been a murder and the Rolling Stones... I- I contacted you, but  didn't realise who you were until they told me... I got suspicious, but it had nothing to do with me, and I really need the money, so I decided to ignore it... It wasn't my business after all. A week ago, however Mr. Lewis told me what this evening was really about..."

"To discover the truth about Brian's death," Frank concluded for her. To their surprise Miss Jones shock her head.

"Mr. Lewis said he knew what happened- he- he wanted to confront you, because everyone of you held a piece to what happened-"

"Bullshit," Mick interrupted her. "Keith, Charlie and I weren't anywhere near Brian when he died."

Miss Jones bit her lip shyly. "I can only tell you what Mr. Lewis said... I know nothing about this and neither did he elaborate. He just wanted me to make sure that you all got here and that I told you what this was about. He was supposed to cover the rest..." She looked away. "But apparently he knew too much..."

"What do you mean?" Mick added then in a softer tone.

"I found him in his room... he looked unconscious and I- I checked his pulse to be sure... He was already turning cold when I touched him and I screamed out... It was so scary and then... the lights went out too. I got really scared... It was dark and Mr. Lewis was dead- maybe killed and I had no idea what to do, I was scared for my life and hid in a closet, when I heard noises... I think somebody came back and moved Mr. Lewis body... I-I don't know. When the light turned back on Nr Lewis had disappeared..."

Keith bid his lip. His suspicion that the dead man they had found in the pool was indeed Mr. Lewis grew stronger... There was only one way to be completely sure, though he didn't want to go back outside when the weather was still shit and he first wanted to hear the rest of Miss Jones tale until he could start to put together the pieces.

"I came out of my hiding place as oh my god I heard a horrible noise from the room next door... I should have stayed in the closet..." she mumbled, her lip trembling and Keith had a good idea what she saw. "Rich didn't deserve that... He was a nice guy. " Miss Jones was now fully sobbing into Anna's shoulder who patted her back.

"Rich?" Frank asked confused.

"We found another dead body upstairs..." Charlie explained weakly. "He... looked a lot like Brian..."

Miss Jones blew her nose. "Mr. Lewis thought, somebody might- might confess something if we made you think Brian Jones ghosts was haunting the house... He wanted to scare you a bit, so he looked for somebody that resembled Brian and hired him... He was a very nice guy- I- he had nothing to do with this..."

"So the Brian we saw outside was him?" Janet asked and Miss Jones only nodded. "How did he die?"

Nobody said anything.

Miss Jones story made one thing very clear, even if nobody dared to say it, somebody of them was a murderer...  Keith could just hope for their sake that his first thought that it was Tom was right, because that at least would mean the killing was over... and well it seemed the most logical... beside Tom's death...  The cat wouldn't have killed himself, never... This whole story still was lacking some crucial information...

"Slaughtered by the look of it..." Keith explained dryly. "It's definitely no pretty sight... Did you see who did it?"

Miss Jones pulled a bit away from Anna, but still stayed very close to her. "No... he was already dead when I found him..."

"And then?" Keith added after Miss Jones fell silent again.

"I-I don't know... I felt something hit my head and then darkness..."

"Hush it is fine..." Anna mumbled and pulled Miss Jones into another embrace.

"How is this fine? Somebody is out to kill us! And where is Tom?" Janet exclaimed panicked.

"Dead. We found him hanging from a ceiling lamp." Keith surprised even himself with how calm and collected he sounded. "There was a note, saying he was sorry and that he had only acted in Brian's interest..."

"So he... killed them?" Janet asked unsure. "And then killed himself?"

"It would seem so..." Keith mumbled, even if he wasn't fully convinced of that version as well. It sounded logical... maybe even a tad too logical, it was an too easy explanation for everything that had happened here.

It just couldn't be that simple, Keith thought and would be proven right.
