it was a few days after christmas
we were both going out for waffles
i picked her up from her hotel and while i was driving halfway, i noticed her eyes were swollen, so i assumed she was crying the previous night
and when i asked her about it, she froze and kept brushing it off
then, when i asked her what her favourite memory was, she froze again and wandered off
