❝meet Maddison Thompson and Taylor Ross❞

      "Again," Taylor Ross, a brunette women in her mid 30's said as Maddison Thompson used her strength to wrap her legs around the older women's neck and pull her down - their bodies now both on the floor, Taylor underneath her and Maddison, who had just turned 27 a month earlier on top of her. 

"Good work Agent Thompson." Natasha Romanoff says, leaning against the door frame and the young blonde rolled her eyes at the sarcastic Russian that had joined S.H.I.E.L.D along with the other Russian that was currently pinned to the ground by herself. 

"Lighten up Nat, you can trust her." Clint Barton - one of Maddison's best friends says entering the room, Ally Stone wandering after him, as her blonde hair swayed to the side. Maddison rolls her eyes, before letting go off Taylor, and sighing. 

She headed for the bottled water that stood at the edge of the room, before she was advanced on by Ally - she managed to grab Maddie and throw her back onto the floor, which started another fight. 

"Oh good god, not again." Clint groaned as he watched the two females roll around on the floor, the two had been best friends for years but had always been aggressive to the other when fighting and training together.

"That's enough!" Fury's voice, vibrated through the small gym and all the Agent's looked up. Her eyes widened as she pushed Ally off of her, Maddie sighed as she hauled the other blonde agent off of the floor and Ally wrapped her arm around her waist. 

"I've got a job for you, and Barton to do - you two with me, and for a love of god. Do not strangle each other while we are gone." Fury says, pointing towards Maddie and Barton - the two agents looked at one another and shrugged there shoulders before heading towards the door where Fury was waiting for them.

     "This is the Tesseract, it will be under the care of Eric Selvig. You remember him, don't you?" Fury asks the two agents that he trusted, a lot more than he cared to admit. The two both nodded, before turning to look at the blue glowing object. "You two are going to oversee that there is no damage, or anything that happens inside that facility and no one can no one can know about it." Fury warns and the two of them nod before heading inside. 

"This feels weird, how are we going to keep this a secret? Especially since Natasha already hates me?" Maddie questions, rubbing her hand up her arm and Clint slips his hand into hers and squeezes. 

"We'll be fine, and I won't let anything happen to you - don't worry about Nat, she'll warm up to you eventually." He says, and Maddie nods as they walked down the corridor the rest of the way silently. 

Eric Selvig, met them at the end of the hallway and took them into the area that they and himself would be working in with a bunch of other scientists and agents but them two were the main ones to protect it. 

"You two can do it." Eric encouraged and they both nodded. 

If only the knew what would happen a few months later.
