❝Black Widow and Kia,❞

      Maddison was healing from her injuries that she had sustained while being inside the facility when it caved because of the portal's pressure, Fury had given her direct orders to stay in the infirmary until given permission to leave but she never did listen to those orders.

"We need you to call Natasha." Coulson says entering the training room, and Maddison looks away from the punching bag. Her eyebrows furrowing, not understanding why in the hell they would want her to call Natasha Romanoff or known around the world as Black widow. 

"What, no hello? Or how are you?" She teases, trying to ease the tension but Coulson looked at her with a hard glare and she sighed. "Okay, I'll call her. Jesus, what do you want me to say?" She questions. 

"Just says it's a code seven, Barton's been compromised." He says, before leaving the room as Maddison pulls her phone out and type's Natasha's number in. The only reason they wanted her to call Romanoff, was because she was at the same level as Natasha and Clint. 

"Hello, put me on the phone with the girl or I will order the AK - 37's that are on the way to shoot for you." Maddison orders, and she heard the male heave a heavy sigh before it was passed onto someone else. 

"We need you to come in." Maddison says, twisting the white tape on her knuckles off, and throwing them towards the bag. 

"Are you kidding me, I'm in the middle of an Interrogation." She counters back, and Maddison rolls her eyes. "This moron is giving me, everything." She says, and Maddison snorts - loudly. 

"This takes precedence, Natasha." She says, running her fingers through her hair. "It's a code seven." She answers harshly. 

"You can't pull me this out right now." Natasha says and Maddison sighs, getting irritated by the second. 

"Natasha, Clint has been compromised." She says, and Natasha who was tied to a chair, took a few minutes breather before answering. 

"Let me put you on hold." She says, before Maddison heard fighting in the background - she knew she was getting out of the interrogation just now by fighting her way out of it.

        It wasn't long before Fury came storming into her room, with a glare directed straight towards her. "Coulson told me you were at the training room, I gave you an order Thompson, I expect you to follow it." He all but growls out at her and she rolls her eyes.

"And I need to know that I can still do my job, Fury." She retorts back, and Fury sighs before pinching the end of his nose. "When is Banner and Stark getting here?" She questions, running her fingers through her hair. 

She had met Bruce Banner when she was set to India for a mission a couple months prior to the tesseract being stolen, and Tony Stark was an active consultant for S.H.I.E.L.D that she had met many times in the past.

"Natasha is getting Banner, Coulson is getting Tony." He says, "I expect you to meet Banner off the ship, I know how close you two got during the last mission. Oh, and Kia will be here later as well, catch her up will you?" He questions and Maddison nods. 

Kia Kheza was an ex HYDRA experiment and was one of Maddison's closest confidents. She basically knew everything about her, and vice versa - she knew that Maddison was from a place called Wakanda, and that the prince was her ex boyfriend. 

She also knew that Kia was something called a war dog, a protecter for the royals and off Wakanda. She heard a quinjet land on the top off the S.H.I.E.L.D base and she headed up as she saw Kia coming out of them.

Her hands clasped behind her back as she chatted with the pilot, before she noticed her best friend from this country and excused herself from the conversation. Kia smiled as she walked towards Maddison at a fast pace before she was wrapped around the young blonde. "Oh how I've missed you," She says, lightly and Maddison laughs. 

"I missed you too Kia," She says, running her fingers through her hair. "Hoe gaan dit?" She asks and Kia's actual language, and Kia looks at her surprised and squealed. 

"Oh my god! You learned Afrikaans!" She says, hugging her best friend in shock but happiness as well. Maddison laughs as she kisses her cheek and then leads her towards the entrance of the S.H.I.E.L.D's headquarters. 

"Come on, a lot of shit has happened." She says, pulling her in towards a conference room so they could talk privately.

      "Jesus Christ," Kia muttered, leaning back in a spiny chair as she looked at Maddie. "So this Loki, he compromised Clint?" She questions, and Maddison looks at her. Kia had only been saved from the HYDRA base a few months prior, so she knew better than to use her powers to a total extent but she could use them to help.

（since this is a fan fiction, Steve and Natasha already knew each other before Avengers Assemble. Because they saved Kia together, along with Tony but he was in the background.）

"Yeah, it's bad Ki." Maddie mutters, running her fingers through her hair as she lets out an exasperate sigh. "My heads killing me," She mutters and Kia looks at her sympathetically, before realising something and looking for Fury. 

"One of my powers, allows me to take away some pain. Do you want me to try it?" She questions, and Maddie looks at her and nods silently. Black mist came out of her hand, and started to relieve her pain a little. "Better?" She questions and Maddison nods. 

"Thank you Ki." She says, as she hears another quinjet land on the S.H.I.E.L.D's landing pods. "Come on, Steve, Natasha and Bruce should be here now." She says, pushing herself up onto her feet and holding her hand out for Kia. 

Kia looked giddy to see Natasha and Steve again, after all the two had saved her from HYDRA and she had no idea how to repay them.
