❝Loki's arrival,❞

    Maddison Thompson was sitting up in the rafters in the undercover facility that no one knew about, apart from Fury, Agent Coulson and Agent Maria Hill along with a few other covert agents from S.H.I.E.L.D.

"This is not a drill!" The emergency comm went off but Maddie and Clint Barton didn't budge from their positions - partly because they had to oversee that this thing didn't go combust and that no one got away with the Tesseract.

"Talk to me doctor," Fury says as he enters the testing area and Maddie stands up to stretch her legs as Clint hangs his arms loosely over the banister that was keeping the two of them from falling and harming themselves.

"Director," Eric Selvig says, standing off of the platform he was on. 

"Is there anything we know for certain?" Fury questions as Maddison drinks from her coffee mug and places it back near her, for emergencies - god knows how long they had been up there for, and god knows how longer they will be.

"The tesseract is misbehaving." Eric says and Fury looks at him with his good eye. 

"Is that supposed to be funny?" He questions and Maddison rolls her eyes, knowing Eric wasn't trying to be funny in anyway. 

"No, it's not funny at all." He says, as a scientist goes flying back and hits into another piece of high tech equipment. She winces as his head the floor, and groans ― Clint looks at her before looking back down at the floor.

"The Tesseract is not only active, she's behaving." He says, walking back towards the blue object with Director Fury close beside him. Maddison quietly snorts from her position.

"I assume you pulled the plug?" Fury questions him. 

"She's an energy source, we turn off the power, she turns it back on." Eric says, "If she reaches peak level," Eric says, warningly. 

"We prepared for this, Doctor. Harnessing energy from space." Fury says, with his lips pressed in a tight pressed line. 

"But we don't need to harness, my calculations are far from complete and she's throwing off interference. Not anything alarming, low levels of gamma and radiation." He says, as Maddison makes her way off of the birds eye area, as she and Clint like to call it. 

"That can be harmful," Fury says, "Where's Agent Barton and Agent Thompson?" He questions as Maddie comes out into the light.

"I'm right here, Clint. He's in his normal position." Maddie says and Fury groans in disapproval. 

"I gave you two this detail, so you could keep an eye on things." Fury reprimands. 

"I was down here, when the Tesseract started to misbehave." Maddie says, rolling her eyes as she walks beside Clint and Fury. 

"Well I, I see better from a distance." He comments not looking at their director. 

"Have you seen anything that might set this thing off?" He questions the two and Maddie shakes her head. 

"I was right beside it, when it went off. Literally, I was standing beside Selvig." She says, defending herself but Clint had to talk for himself. 

"Doctor, it's spiking again." One of the scientists says and Selvig walks towards her with a grim look on his face. Which Maddie knew wasn't a good thing.

       Fury, Barton and Maddie were all watching from a distance as the tesseract put off different signals, as Selvig and many other people tried to figure it out. When all off a sudden, blue sparks went off - making the whole area shake. 

Clint held onto her, to make sure that she didn't fall over. "You alright?" He questions her, and she nods silently. She put her hand on her head, one of the sparks had hit her and god knows what it did to her.

"What the hell is going on?" She murmured more to herself as it opened up a portal to somewhere. It sparked back on itself, making it rumble and Maddie almost fell over again so Clint wrapped his arm around her waist as four men with guns steadily walked forward to see what it was that came out of the portal. 

Whoever it was, had dark raven hair, icy blue eyes that could glare a hole through you and an evil looking smirk. Maddison's hand, instantly went to her gun that was holstered to her hip but Clint tapped her hip telling her to halt her movements. 

"Sir, please put down the spear." Fury tries to communicate with the man that had just stood up to show the spear that was in his hand, but Maddison could tell that this man probably wasn't going too. 

She instantly pulled out a dagger that was in her wrist band and her gun was unholstered gently, ready to use when she felt necessary - her gut was always right, she knew that and this guy was setting it off immensely. 

He used it, and Maddison ducked, throwing herself Fury, and Clint all off of the podium. "Ow," She groaned as she rolled over onto the floor, grabbing her gun and leaning up - trying to find the male.

He was being shot at by four different agents, and he killed them all. "Drop the spear! Now." Maddison says, and he threw a dagger at her - missing her by an inch as she ducks behind a podium that was yet to be exploded. 

Maddison watched as he caused serious carnage in the room, but it wasn't until she saw him walk over to her that she backed away. "No, no. Come to me - not her, she's innocent." Clint says and he looks over at him before walking towards him and grabbed his arm pulling it backwards. 

"You have heart," He says, before using the spear on him - Maddie puts her hand over her mouth to contain the scream as Clint's brown eyes turned to blue. He was now under the control of this male, and she doesn't know how to help him.

Out the corner of her eye, she watches as Fury packs the tesseract up into a brief case, silently and she nods crawling along the room - managing to get to the doorway and she sprints for it, hoping to find Maria Hill somewhere in the facility.

              It was when she got down to the lower level, did she see the brunette women hiding behind a bunch of crates. She pulled out her gun, and shot at the truck she was shooting at. Inside was Loki - the man that she had just met in the room where he caused carnage, Barton, Selvig and another S.H.I.E.L.D agent. 

"Jesus," She muttered as a bullet hit her shoulder, she knew exactly who had shot it because it was such precise aim and she has to remind herself, he was under the control of Loki - he wasn't himself. 

"He's under the control of that guy?" Maria asks, pushing something against her wound and she nodded. "I need to go after them, are you going to be alright?" She questions and Maddie nods, before pushing her to go without her and she watched as the brunette ran off.
