A/N: This is sort of a continuation of Mia Rosa (about 2 years later) B/F is at their M/P's house.

"Watch out, Nico!" you cried, but it was to late. The Cyclops was bringing his club down for the final strike. You couldn't let that happen. With a burst of inhuman speed, you pushed Nico out of the way- and took the strike for him. As everything faded to black, your last thought was I hope Nico is safe.

Nico's POV

No no no no no. This cannot be happening. Nico paced back and forth. He'd brought Y/N to the infirmary, but he wasn't allowed in. If Y/N died, he would never forgive himself. He dreaded the moment when an Apollo kid walked out, but he also couldn't wait any longer.

Will stepped out. "Nico?"

Nico whirled around. He hadn't felt the buzzing in his ears, so Y/N hadn't died, but she might be close to it- he couldn't sense her life force. "How- how is she?" he croaked.

Will bit his lip, clearly concerned. "Well, her vital signs are okay, but she's in a coma, and we don't know when she'll wake up."

"I- okay." There was nothing Nico could do- and he hated it.

•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞ (TWO DAYS LATER)

"Nico!" Kayla, an Apollo kid, sprinted to his cabin. "Y/N's waking up!"

Nico shot to his feet and ran out of the Hades cabin. During those two days, he'd barely eaten anything at all, and slept even less, waiting for his Y/N to return to him.

In the infirmary, Y/N twitched. She started to get up, then hesitated. "Why is it so dark in here?"

Nico frowned. The infirmary was bright from the sunlight streaming in.

Then, Y/N turned her head towards him, and he felt a feeling of sickening dread. Y/N's eyes, once a vibrant E/C, were now a milky white. He took a step back. "No..."

Will shrugged helplessly. "I'm sorry, Nico, but we couldn't bring her sight back."

Y/N tilted her head to the side. Her next words crushed Nico's heart.

"Who's Nico?"

Nico carefully led Y/N along the path, careful to avoid the bumpy parts.

"Hey Nico?" Y/N's voice broke him out of his reverie.

"What do I look like?"

"Well..." Nico tried to steady his trembling voice. "You have H/C flowing hair and you used to have vibrant E/C eyes. Now, they're white. Your hair has one streak that's F/C, your favorite color."

You tilt your head, that familiar gesture making his heart ache. "Did I dye it?"

Nico shook his head, his throat drying up when he remembered Y/N couldn't see him. "I... don't know. You never told me."

You frown thoughtfully. "Huh, I wonder why."

Nico's heart, already smashed, shattered again. He hadn't told Y/N that they were dating. How could he? Y/N didn't think of him that way now- just a friend.

Y/N couldn't remember anything or anyone. They'd had to reexplain all the Greek myths to her- and although in some instances she remembered things- she was still amazing at W/O/C- but she couldn't remember anyone- not Percy, Annabeth, Leo, or any of them. Including him.

His rose wasn't his anymore.
