Sky grabs my hand before I can stop her. "Stop, I am not in the mood, Sky," I say. She smiles and ignores my request.

"C'mon, you need a pick me up!" She says. I sigh and let her drag me along. "Trust me, you'll love it!" She drags me into the courtyard and sits me down. You will be meeting Hermes! He's the best!"

"Okay..." I say.

"Well that's not a very warm welcome. I'm Hermes." A man in a dark suit walks in from the shadows.

"Umm... am I supposed to be impressed?" I ask. His smirk falters, but then grows into a smile.

"I like you, you're sassy."

I flip my hair. "Sass is a way of life."

"I couldn't have said it better myself. And you are?"

"My name is Jade. Jade Stone."

"Poseidon's girl?"

I grit my teeth. "I am not his girl." He smiles, but there is a sadness in his eyes.

"My son said the same thing. But of course, Luke had a sick kind of hatred to him. But, boy that could do pranks," Hermes says. I smile. That sounds like a great kid.

"Do you know where he is now?" I ask.

"Probably rotting in Hell. Listen me ramble, where are you from?" he asks.

"Hell," I say and glare at him, " How can you say that about your own son?" Hermes sighs and looks away.

"You are a lot like Luke," he whispers, "he disowned me as his father and he claimed I never loved him. He allowed himself to be possessed by Lord Kronos. He... he..." His voice cracks. I look away and bow my head.

"I'm sure Luke wasn't truly evil. Once weak, hurt people get a taste of the dark side, they become addicted, forever craving mire power until ultimately it destroys them," I say quietly.

"What do you know?" Hermes sneers, "That has never happened to you."

I feel tears well in my eyes as I say, "My mom tried to sell me to Hades as an infant. Don't talk to me about darkness and possession because Luke was hurt and scared and being persuaded by Kronos. My mom was in her right mind when she decided to sell me. You know nothing until you wrongfully have the love only a mother can give you torn away from you when you did nothing to lose it." I walk away, feeling a single tear slip down my face.

I walk into the Poseidon cabin seething. I close the door and throw a punch into the wall. I keep punching it releasing all my anger. Ha Sky Hacked you. Poseidon chose a financially insecure woman to have his child with, for what, quick, hot sex? How would he like it if I slept with him then bailed, leaving him alone with a baby. Life isn't easy, especially when you are an orphan, alone on the streets.

The Doctor will fix this. I should call him, tell him this place isn't working out and I cannot do it anymore because the gods are so inconsiderate and nasty.

"Percy, why is the pretty lady punching a hole in the wall?" someone asks. I open my eyes to see my fist through the wall. I turn and see a large man with one eye. Next to him is Percy, seeming shocked.

I pull my fist out of the wall and look away."Sorry," I mumble and leave. Or try to, anyway. Percy grabs my arm before I can leave.

"Tyson, this your sister, Jade," I smile. Tyson grins back and pulls me into a hug.

"Another sister, Yay!!" He crushes me with hug. I hug him back and laugh for the first time in a long time.
