A Goddess

Thanks for all your help guys! I really appreciate you, minna! I'm sorry in advance, but this chapter is probably not going to have NALU moments. This Chappie is gonna be told as a flashback, but this is really the explanation Lucy gives Natsu about the Keys of the Planets. Anyway, hope you enjoy!

*In Lucy's old mansion*

A little Lucy runs up to her mother, Layla Heartfelia. "Mommy! I want to see Venus again!" She yelled excitedly. Layla sighed as she slid a glossy wooden box towards herself and opened it. There were eight shining Platinum keys sitting in the box. Layla picked up one with a purple gem imbedded in it.

"Open, gate of the goddess, Venus!" She said as she swiped her hand to one side. Venus appeared and looked at little Lucy. "Aww! Lucy! You're so KAWAII!!!" She said as she picked up the little girl. "Venus!" Little Lucy giggled. "I missed you!" Venus hugged the little girl and Layla smiled at her daughter. "Venus! Can you teach me how to use love magic?" Lucy asked. "Of course I can, my little goddess!" Venus replied.

"But don't try to teach your friends how to do it. Only gods and goddesses can use my magic." Venus said. "But aren't there other people who can use love magic too?" Lucy asked. "Yes, but my love magic is special. It is god magic. Only gods and goddesses can use it. Other people use a type that isn't God magic and is a bit weaker." Venus explained. "So I really am a goddess?" Little Lucy asked.

"Yes. You and your mother are. Only a god or goddess can summon one of the gods." Venus answered as she gave Lucy a small bottle of potion. "This one can tell you if a man likes you. You just put a little in his food and when he falls asleep, he will start to glow gold if he likes you and grey if you are soul mates, but if he doesn't glow at all, then it was never meant to be." Venus started.

"What would a kid like me do with that?" Little Lucy asked. "You can keep the potion. So when you grow older, and you find someone who makes you feel like the world would end without him, you can use it." Venus replied with a smile. "It is really simple to do and doesn't need any practice, so we can move on to the next potion."

Venus gave her another bottle. "This one causes hallucinations. It shows the person the people that they truly care about." Venus said. "The hallucinations also create a shield for you." Little Lucy held a bottle in each of her tiny hands. "Where will I put them, though?" Little Lucy asked.

"There is a spell that puts your things in a place in space. Nobody can open this space, but you." Venus said as she tried to show Little Lucy how to use the spell. Lucy's father, Jade Heartfelia, entered the room and gave Layla a letter. "It's for you." Jude said simply.

"It's from Jupiter." Layla said as she read the letter.

Dear Layla Heartfelia,
The time has come for you to come back to us. We need you very dearly. Our keys need to be separated and hidden as we had planned. Your daughter has great power and I have no doubt that when her time comes she will be able to use our strong magic. But for now, her goddess powers must be sealed. I know you must be torn between being with your new family, or taking charge as a goddess, but you will see them again and until then, we will be with you. I am sorry for this, but your job is with us.
Your friend,
Jupiter.

Layla set the letter down and stood. Venus saw Layla and quickly said goodbye to little Lucy. "Lucy?" Layla said as she picked up the little girl and the box of keys. She carried little Lucy to a different room. This room had polished marble walls and sleek wood floors. There was a bookshelf and a desk in the room.

Layla put little Lucy on the ground and grabbed a book from the shelf. The book said 'Goddess Lucy' and had a dark brown cover. "In hoc libro, ubi morata fueris, et cor Lucy. Lucy ego praecipio tibi diva , es signa !" She chanted as a light started to glow from the book.

When the light died down, the box was open and the keys were gone. Layla collapsed onto the wood flooring. Her daughter looked blankly at her mother as Jude helped her up. Layla glowed and started to disappear. "Mommy?" Little Lucy asked. "Goodbye for now. I will come back for you when you are ready."

*seven years later*

The house was very dark as a man crept through it. He picked a book from the shelf with a brown cover and opened it. The book lit up and the man smiled. "At last..."

Yay! So, that is the backstory I'm gonna go with. Sorry for not writing a bunch of NALU, but NALU didn't exist in this time frame, so... Anyways, Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed!
