Liko's POV:

The next day I went back to school and I felt a lot happier than usual. I put my hand up more in lessons and I was really enthusiastic when giving answers to questions.

I could tell this confused Dot a lot and so I wasn't suprised when they brought this up during break.

"What's gotten into you today?" She asked, smiling because she was happy I was happy.

"It's just, you've changed me so much as a person and, I wanted to show that off in front of you!" I explained.

"Really?" She questioned.

"Yeah! I've grown so much more confidence being around you! You struggle more than me when it comes to talking so I've tried to stand up for you and you've really helped me with that!" I responded.

"Are you sure that's a good thing? It sounds like I'm a burden to you..." Dot muttered.

"No, I didn't mean it like that! I mean you've brought me out of my comfort zone, and that's a good thing!" I tried to reiterate.

"If you say so..." They sighed.

"Haven't you noticed a change in yourself too?" I asked.

"Not really that I can think of..." She replied.

"Are you sure? Haven't you noticed that I'm in your room right now when previously you wouldn't allow that?" I tried to push her to think of something.

"I guess I have let my walls down and opened myself up more to others," Dot replied.

"Even more that you've got your hair up currently! I bet you didn't use to put that up for other people," I added, pointing to my girlfriend's pink hair that held up by her hair band.

"I only do this around you though," They corrected with a little blush on their cheeks.

"But that's progress!" I replied.

She laughed a little and then said, "Enough about me, have you got anymore things that I've apparently changed about you?"

"Well, you've helped me be more open about my interests again, you've helped me face down Ann and you being by my side has made it easier to communicate more with others," I answered.

"That's a lot!" They replied, "I'm sure I didn't help you out with all of them-"

"You did though, it's all thanks to you!" I corrected.

Dot started to blush more from all of the compliments I was giving her.

"Well, I guess you have helped me finally start going to classes again, you helped me come out to my mom and make a few friends," My girlfriend admitted.

"And you helped me do the same as well, you helped me take another chance on love!" I smiled.

"Oh Liko," They smiled back.

"And most of all, you've helped me find who I really am because, before you, I wasn't so sure," I said, "Now I know, and I think I've helped you with that too..."

"You have!" Dot began to sob and she then wrapped her arms around me, "Thank you Liko, I love you so much!"

"I love you too, Dot, and thank you!" I responded, returning the hug.

We let go of each other and then leaned in to kiss. However, before our lips could touch, there was a knock on the door.

I opened it and standing on the other side was Roy.

"Excuse me but we were just about to share a passionate kiss!" My girlfriend whined.

"Sorry Dot, I just wanted to ask if you two wanted to come and play a board game with me and the staff?" He suggested.

"Pass," She denied, but then I smiled and took her hand.

"Come on Dot, it will be fun!" I said.

She took a few seconds to think about it but then she sighed and smiled.

"Fine, as long as I'm with you, Liko," They agreed.

Me and Roy cheered and we then walked out and sat around the table with Friede, Orla, Mollie, Murdock and Ludlow. We all played the board game together and chatted as well.

I'm so thankful to have experienced all of this joy with the love of my life. I'm so thankful to Dot for being my girlfriend.

And most of all, I'm so thankful she helped me find myself, helped me become the real Liko...
