Liko's POV:

I opened the door and let Dot inside. I was then jumpscared when I found my mother and father in the living room together.

It's very rare to see either them, so it was surprising to see both of them! Especially my mom...

"Oh hello Liko!" Father said.

"Hello!" I replied while caught off guard.

"So who is this with you?" Mother asked.

Dot started to hide away behind the door.

"Dot, a friend of mine I made at school," I answered.

"It's great to see you making friends after what happened with Ann..." Mother said.

"Y-yeah!" I smiled nervously and started to sweat, "Anyway, we're going to go upstairs!"

"Okay!" My mother nodded.

With that I bolted out of the room and to the stairs where Dot was waiting for me. I signaled to her that I wanted to talk upstairs so we went up to my room together.

"What am I going to do?!" I cried.

"What's wrong?" Dot asked.

"It's just... I barely see my parents and now the first time I get to see them in aged I gave to tell them everything that I could have just said earlier if they were around more..." I explained.

"Well, I mean, you don't have to do it straight away," They said, "There's still plenty of time!"

"This is all just so scary..." I sighed, "I understand now why you were so nervous too, I wish I didn't have to do this..."

"You don't have to tell them everything though, you can simply just say that I'm your girlfriend and then it's over and done with," Dot suggested, "Or, you could do it over text."

"Over text?" I questioned.

"Yeah, you can just make a group chat with them and then tell then there," She explained.

"No, I think I need to tell them in person..." I said.

"Okay, whatever you think is best to do," Dot replied.

She took my hand and smiled and I felt some confidence. I then led her back downstairs where my parents were still sat on the couch.

"Actually, Dot is my friend but she's also my..." I announced, "G-girlfriend..."

"She is?" Mother questioned.

"Yes, it's an honour to be dating your pretty daughter!" Dot answered I'm a posh accent and bowed, making my face go red with embarrassment.

"Thank you Dot for looking after out daughter and, thank you Liko for telling us," Father said.

"Really?" I questioned.

"Yes, I'm completely supportive of you dating girls, Dot seems very nice so I'm sure you'll be fine," Mother added.

I felt so happy to be accepted that I jumped into the empty spot between where my two parents were sitting and hugged them. I then shuffled to make space for Dot and we all watched TV together.

It's such a nice feeling to have finally told them...

This was a very difficult chapter to write for me for some reason. I did little bits every day last week but I couldn't pull myself to finally finish the chapter until today because I just kept on procrastinating as this felt like a boring job to do

Luckily this is coming to an end soon...
