Its times like this that one can't help but feel the emperor and Jiang are alike in some ways which is they can be overly dramatic and unreasonable sometimes. The emperor was jealous of his own self.

Back in the forest Jiang looked at all directions, he seemed to be using the air in the vicinity to determine which area he should head towards and by instinct, he starting moving eastwards, that very direction was going to lead him out of the forest.

Jiang had lived in the forest for most of his younger days, also he trained in the forest inside Jun Tang's manor so the forest could be said to be like a home to him so him been able to figure out something like which way to go was piece of cake to him.

Jiang didn't even move more than one Li before his journey was obstructed.

"Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha I finally found you young mistress Lei Yue, how long did you think you could hide from this young mistress"

Jiang looked up and met Wang Xiu death glare with one of his own, he had thought both siblings had retreated earlier so he wasn't expecting to see the girl before him again.

Jiang really was in no mood to tolerate the dummy standing on top of a flying pink basket made of wood, the middle of the basket actually had a moving lifelike picture of Wang Wei as he pecked a red rose on his hands, he seemed to want to hand it over to someone while also flirtatiously winking at that imaginary person, although there was no other picture on the flying basket except Wang Wei's, Jiang wondered why this girl was using her brother's artifact, especially one that wasn't even pleasing to look at.

"And why will this empress elect want to hide from young mistress Wang Xiu in the first place" Jiang didn't care about the title but since it was his now he was going to hold it with his head held high, he wasn't going to feel inferior before any of his enemies anymore.

Jiang knew that the statement he made to Wang Xiu will enrage her but he really didn't care, he wasn't going to ever let anyone mock or look down on him ever again especially not this stupid young mistress whose only dream is to become the empress elect.

"I wonder what will happen to that pride of yours by the time I am through with your young mistress Lei Yue, also I don't know what you did to the tracking bracelet that made it not to work for this couple of days but its against the rule" Wang Xiu smirked as she eyed Jiang up and down "And those who break the rules get punished but that's a punishment you will have to get after this young mistress is done with you" after saying that the flying artifact she was standing on began to gracefully descend slowly but abruptly stopped midair after Jiang words came out.

"What are you talking about? Are you certain you haven't lost a screw or two from that head of your young mistress" after saying that Jiang started walking off, he didn't think Wang Wei will let him just go but he didn't want to stay here either.

"Stop pretending, you did something to the track bracelet and that's why I haven't been able to locate you even after mind activated" Wang Xiu suddenly appeared some distance in front of Jiang, she was still lying on the wooden artifact and refuse to completely come down from the sky, her nostrils were flaring up, she really wanted to quickly beat up this lying bitch Lei Yue and take what rightly belongs to her.

Meanwhile Jiang immediately understood what Wang Wei was talking about and then looked at the usually transparent tracker bracelet that was now black on his left ankle and couldn't help but remember the day it was handed over to him at the imperial palace, it was the day all candidates hoping to become the next empress elect where chosen.

"I will be handing these track bracelets to all candidates hoping to become the next empress elect as well as the present empress elect, remember that during the period of this competition none of you is allowed to remove the bracelet except an accident happens to it, anyone who removes the bracelet will face certain consequences" The chief eunuch booming voice spread throughout the whole martial ground arena as he stroked his imaginary mustache while handling each contestants standing on the Martial ground stage one.

Jiang who was seated on his own personal tent and was watching all the activities going on didn't even know when the chief eunuch Bai Kang appeared before him, bowed down slightly and then said seriously "This humble servant greets empress elect, please make sure you wear this during the competition at all times" Bai Kang after handing over the bracelet to Jiang retreated back to the stage.

Jiang could feel a chilling down his spine and chose to look at the direction where he was getting such uneasy feelings from and he had seen Liang Na glaring at him like she wanted to eat him up, she must have been jealous that he was treated differently from them since Bai Kang personally went to hand Jiang his own track bracelet.

Immediately Bai Kang got back on-stage princess Yang Liu gentle voice that made almost every man on the martial ground melt and drools and just want to spoil her was for the first time heard by all present and anyone who heard her voice couldn't help but have a good feeling towards her "Chief eunuch Bai Kang, may we know why we must wear these bracelets and never remove it during the duration of the empress elect competition"

"The bracelet is a tracking artifact and can be used by you all to locate the empress elect during the one week period which you will be choosing a day to attack her, during that one week the bracelet will no longer be transparent but black, this is a sign that the competition has begun but it won't truly commence until both parties meet, also the empress elect will know when an opponent is about to attack only when the person is twenty feet's away from the empress elect, the bracelet on her hand will vibrate once"

After Jiang remembers this he realized that he didn't even know when Wang Xiu was twenty feet's away from him, this was because he had a lot on his mind and the telling sign of the bracelet vibrating on his hands and indicating an enemy was close by wasn't found out by him at all.

At this moment in the middle of various cities, towns, villages in Tang Qin Shang a pearl-like object floated in the air and after a dazzling flash of bright light the pearl-like object changed into a huge screen and within the screen was Jiang who was within a huge forest with tall trees swinging about due to the strong wind and not too far from Jiang was Wang Xiu who was still in the air standing on top of a wooden artifact and glaring at Jiang as if her eyes could shot lasers and kill Jiang on the spot, Jiang on the other hand was so used to such stares that it didn't seem to affect him in the slightest anymore.

Although Jiang's flashback may seem to have taken a lot of time but in reality it didn't, Wang Xiu who was now totally angered by Jiang didn't want to waste any more words on him "After today I will become the empress elect and I will take pleasure in taking away that title from you Lei Yue" She had a smug smile playing on her lips as she began to chant "I call on the heavens, I call on the element air, the almighty element that gives breath to all living things..."
