As Jacob came down for breakfast that morning, he passed his parents room. The door was cracked open and he could see Alex sitting at the end of her bed with her cell phone to her ear.

"Collin! You don't understand, he doesn't want to leave!" She said. Jacob froze as he heard her say those words. He felt bad for ease dropping, but he wanted to hear what his dad was going to say. "Yes I understand he needs to meet his sister, but he can visit. And she can always come out to Nevada to meet Ginny, Peter and James

too." She said. Obviously that didn't go down well with his dad because he ccould hear him screaming. "Collin, you've gotten to spend Sixteen years with him, and I've only gotten a month and a half. I want my son!" She yelled. Jacob than saw her hand up and throw her phone on her bed, clearly irritated. She let out a frustrated growl and caught a glimpse of him through the crack in the door. She let out a deep sigh and gestured for him to come in. He opened the door and sat down on the bed next to her. She wrapped her arms around his neck and buried her face in his shoulder.

"He's gonna take you away. And I won't be able to stop him." She said. He could hear her voice was on the verge of tears.

"I won't let him take me, mom." He said.

Jacob and James hopped in the truck after they finished their chores and headed down to Brooks farm. She brushing out a white horse when they arrived.

"I heard about Chevy, Congratulations." She said. "What's his name?"

"Wildfire." James said. He took over brushing the white gelding, who Jacob found out was named Phantom. Jacob didn't talk much while they were there. James did most of the talking while Brook listened. They hung out at her farm until five that afternoon. James got in the truck and Jacob was walking too the truck when Brook stopped him.

"Are you okay, Jacob?" She asked. He let out a deep breath.

"By now it looks like I might have no choice. Dad will force me back to Florida." He said. Brook went pale and looked like she was going to be sick.

"Have you talked to your mom?" She asked. He nodded.

"There's nothing she can do. Technically he owns me. My mom can only take possession of me if dad gives her permission." He said. Brook looked like she was about ready to cry. She wrapped her arms around his waist and rested her chin on his shoulder.

"I don't want you to go." She whispered. He let out a deep sigh.

"Meet me at the creek at midnight." He said. she nodded once and he left out the door and hopped into the truck.

"What took you so long?" James asked. Jacob smiled a bit.

"Nothing."

Jacob left through his window once he knew James was asleep. Outside his window was a tree that he climbed down and he walked quickly to the creek. It was almost midnight when he arrived. Ten minutes later, Brook drove up. She lived six miles from the creek, so she got permission to drive her truck, saying she was going to Daniellas.

Brook put the tailgate down on her truck and the two of them climbed in the bed, lying down and looking up at the stars. the stars out in the country were amazing compared to the ones back in Florida.

"What did you want to talk to me about?" Brook asked. Jacob smiled.

"I didn't want to talk about anything, I just wanted to be with you." He said. He could see her blushing in the light of the full moon. "You know Brook, I've had a crush on you since I first met you. I wanted to know if you feel the same way for me." That only made her blush even more. She took in a deep breath before she replied.

"Yeah. I do like you. you're different then James, You're not anything like I expected." She said. He smiled.

"I'll take that as a compliment." He said. She laughed a bit, And he could tell she was nervous. He took her hand, and he saw her shiver, which only made his smile grow. He leaned towards her and she leaned towards him. Their lips were about to touch when she pulled back smiling, teasing him. He glared at her and that only made her laugh. He grabbed her waist and pulled her body to his.

"Now you can't get away." He said grinning. She glared at him.

"Just shut up and kiss me." She said. He happily obliged.

That one kiss turned into many, and then afterward they laid there talking until Brook said she had to get back to her house before her parents started to get suspicions. They climbed into the cab of her truck and she dropped him off at the beginning of his driveway. He kissed her goodbye and climbed up the tree and into his window.

The next day was a hassle as they all tried to get ready for Ginnys rehearsal wedding.

"I don't get why we have to rehearse when the real thing is tomorrow!" James moaned Alex smoothed out his hair.

"Shush, it's your sisters speacial day, and I don't want you to ruin it!" She said. James rolled his eyes and Jacob smiled and joined his brother as they piled in the truck. They all headed over to the Johnson's barn, where tables were laid out and the tables were set. People gathered around, chatting amongst themselves. Shawn fame over to them as they pulled into the drive way. He kissed Ginny on her cheek and led her over to the barn.

Jacob caught sight of Brook, and she saw him, blushed, quickly looking away. He approached and smiled, taking her hand, and leading her around the house where no one was. He smiled at her and she blushed.

"Please don't make this awkward." He said. She smiled a bit.

"I'm trying not too. Just...After last night, what are we?" she asked. He smiled a bit.

"Brook, would you do me the honor of being my girlfriend?" He asked. She nodded and stood on her tip toes and kissed him before they headed back to the barn. Mister Johnson introduced them too the dinner rehearsal and they all sat down. Jacob was a grooms man, along with James and Peter, and Shawns best friend was his best man. Brook was farther down the table with the rest of the brides maids, so Jacob kept looking over at her and smiling every time she blushed.

The night seemed to last forever as they prepared for the next morning. By the time they left, it was eleven at night and both Jewel and Julian were asleep. They had to help clean up and plan for tomorrow, but at one point Jacob and Brook sneaked away to talk and kiss.

The next morning, Alex woke everyone at three, so they could all get ready for the ceremony that would take place at eight. they quickly did their chores and took turns showering and then they all got dressed. By seven, they were at the Johnson's and Ginny, Alex, Daniella, Brook, and Mil were all up stairs getting Ginny ready while the boys set up things out side. Once eveything was ready, David sent Jacob up stairs to check on the girls. Ginny was sitting in front of the mirror in her wedding dress, looking like she was going to puke. She was the only one in there.

"Gin? Where's everyone else?" He asked. She was ready to cry. He hair was done up in a very intricate bun and her veil pinned in it with a clip that looked like a tiara. She stood and let out a shaky breath.

"I don't think I can do this Jake!" She said fanning herself with her fingers. Jacob shut the door behind him and sat down on the bed.

"Ginny, Down there waiting for you is a man that loves you. You couldn't be more lucky." He said. she let out another sigh and bit her lip.

"You're right, I love him, and I can't loose him." She stood and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek before heading outside.
