Now that the trio of friends accomplished their mission in taking down the Lizard, they decided to head back to Beca's house to settle down after experiencing one of the longest days they've ever had. They had stayed with Dr. Connors until the police had arrived and Beca kept watch over him as they took him away, telling the others she would meet them back at her place later. Now she was back in her room with her two best friends.

"So what's gonna happen to him now?" Fat Amy asked.

"I guess he's gonna confess to everything he did, but I hope they'll get him some help" Beca answered, still a little sad about her poor former boss and friend falling down a bad path and where he may be headed.

"I'm sure they will" Jesse nodded encouragingly. "He was a good man and he just made a mistake"

"Of course, he'll probably need our help as well" Amy included.

"Yea, we'll do what we can" Beca nodded.

"So what happens now, in the meantime?" Jesse asked.

"I don't know" Beca shrugged. "We no longer have a job, Gwen's graduating early and we don't know what we're gonna do for the rest of our senior year or after we graduate" she babbled on.

It took Jesse and Amy a minute to put together everything she said. "Wait, Gwen is graduating early?" Jesse asked.

"Yep, which...after the talk we had earlier,I'm actually handling ok. I just don't know what I'm gonna do from this point on" she stated and her friends couldn't help the sympathetic feelings they had towards her. "I mean I did great today, especially with you guys by my side. But everything outside of being Spider-Woman, I don't know guys, I just...." she trailed off, not knowing where she was going with her life from this point.

"I know it's scary, but ur gonna be fine, we'll help you" Jesse assured.

"I know guys, I appreciate it" Beca gave a small smile. "I just feel like I've hit a road block just when my life was on a role and now I'm at a lost, like either I'm not trying hard enough or I don't know where to turn or what" she shrugged and shook her head. "I just feel like I'm at a lost point now"

"We know Beca" Jesse nodded sympathetically. "It is scary, but everything is gonna be ok, you'll make it" he promised. I mean, have you decided on ur dad's college?"

"Yea" she sighed. "I don't think I have much of a choice, but after talking with Gwen, I might as well give it a shot" she stated, not looking the least bit of enthusiastic about it.

"Don't worry becs, it'll be great, just take things one step at a time and everything will work out" he stated confidently.

"You seem so sure" Beca quirked a nervous eyebrow.

"I should, I've spent a lifetime going through it myself" and nobody could deny that, it was how he became so positive on matters such as these. Beca and Amy were lucky to have him around. "College, from what I know, is a hell of an experience, I think it'll be great" he smiled.

There was a brief pause as Beca seemed to be slightly more comfortable with the idea, even letting a small, almost weak, smile play on her features. "What about a job? We still need that" she reminded them of the other situation. Their job with Connors was really good, paid well, kept their parents off their backs and helped pay bills even. Now they needed one pretty fast.

"Well," Fat Amy chimed in. "I know this little music factory around the school's corner you two can check out" she suggested with a growing grin, knowing they would love to work in a factory like that.

"Seriously?!" Beca scoffed.

"You bet your asses" she nodded.

"What do you say?" Jesse turned to Beca with a slight grin.

"Sounds great, but will it be enough?" she was excited, but still a little concerned.

"If not, than I know something else that could help, but you guys may not like it" he offered nervously.

"Which is?" Beca nervously asked after a brief glance at Amy, who reflected her expression.

"The daily bugle offers cash rewards for decent photos of Spider-Woman" he mentioned without looking at either of the two ladies.

Beca furrowed her eyebrows and frantically blinked, as if tryna make sure she heard him right. ""I'm-I'm sorry, w-what?"

"I think he said take photos for the very people that constantly try to make you look like a menace, and probably the reason cops were chasing you during the first few months" Amy stated with a raised eyebrow.

"Yea that's what I was afraid of, ARE YOU INSANE!?" Beca nearly screamed, causing her best friend to jump.

"I know that's not like a top notch option, but just think about how much you make with that and the music factory" he reasoned. "You get two jobs that each require an amazing skill of your's, pay well, and help make life easier for ya" he stated a little more confidently.

Beca was really unsure about the idea, but thought might as well think it over. "Fine, I'll...consider it"

Jesse just gave her a thumbs up in response while Amy let out a big sigh. "They better pay as well as you say Osborn, or it's your funeral" Amy warned and Jesse gave an exaggerated surrender sign with hia hands while faking intimidation.

"I still think college is gonna be a pain in the ass though, I don't know how I'm gonna make it through that" Beca sighed irritably.

Jesse glanced at Amy with a smirk and Amy smiled with a nod, as if to say "go ahead" and Jesse turned back to the dj. "It may not be as bad as you think" he stated, catching her attention as she lifted her head and furrowed her eyebrows. "We're going with you" he and Amy grinned.

"What?" beca's eyes bulged.

"You heard him Mitchell, your stuck with us" Amy confirmed. Beca was flabbergasted at the discovery, but she remembered that they originally weren't planning on college, or at least not at N.Y.U.

"Oh no wait, you guys can't-"

"No it's fine, really" Jesse quickly assured as all three of them stood. "We've been talking about it for a while now, I've been wanting to do something that my father didn't plan for me and this is it"

"What? Are you gonna...become a music composer or something?" Beca almost laughed.

"You know it Mitchell" he nodded.

"And what about you?" she turned to Amy.

"Well, what else am I gonna do" she shrugged. "Your the only friends I got, and I don't think either of you would last without me" she smiled.

Beca scoffed again, not believing her two best friends were actually gonna be with her during this new chapter in her life, making a crappy chapter a lot better. "You guys!" she pulled the two in for a group hug.

"Haha come on, we wouldn't leave you" Amy stated. "You wouldn't even be Spider-Woman without us"

"No, I'd be dead without you two" Beca added.

"Exactly" Amy smugly replied.

After about a minute, they broke apart and Beca tried to fight the tears that threatened to break. "I can't tell you how happy I am guys, this is unbelievable" she grinned like a kid on Christmas.

"Glad we have that effect on you" Jesse smiled.

"I guess knowing I would hafta say goodbye to Gwen, after my mom and thinking the same for you guys was too much to take in" she explained.

"Well, you'll never hafta say goodbye to us, ever" he promised and now Beca couldn't hold back her tears as she pulled the two in for another hug, one where she did not intend on letting these two go anytime soon.

"Excuse me, uh Chloe, right?" Professor Mitchell asked right before the redhead could leave. "Sorry, but I'm afraid you've been falling a little behind on ur latest assignment"

"Yea, I'm sorry professor" she apologized. "The Cleftomaniacs have been keeping me really distracted lately, but I'm gonna work on it with Aubrey tonight" she assured.

"Ok, just wanted to check with you about that" he smiled thankfully.

Chloe gave him a smile and a nod and was about to leave before she noticed a picture on his desk. "Oh, is that ur daughter?"

"Oh yea, her name is Beca, she was twelve when this photo was taken, seventeen now" he stated happily. "She's gonna be attending here next year"

"She's cute, she must be beautiful now, I'd love to meet her"

"Wait, my dad showed you this photo of me?" Beca asked in shock as she held up the photo.

"Yea, I can't believe I forgot about that either, it's a great picture too" Chloe complimented with a smile.

"No it's not" Beca scoffed. "I looked like dopey's sister"

"You did not" the ginger laughed. "You were adorable then, and ur adorable now" she wrapped her arms around the brunette from behind and started pecking her cheek.

"So adorable that you forgot about it for five years?" Beca smirked with a quirked eyebrow, receiving a slap on the gut for it.

"It was a long time ago and you weren't as important to me then" she argued and went back to unpacking the current box she had.

"But surely I'm important to you now, right?" now Beca was wrapping up the ginger from behind, using a sweet, almost pouty tone.

Chloe faked irritation as she let out a sigh. "The most important person in my life" she faked exaggerated defeat and irritation again, but her head was turned by the chin so the brunette could connect their lips.

"I feel the same way" she smiled and went back to unpacking the box she took the picture out of.

"So that's what happened to doctor Connors?" Chloe asked.

"Sadly so, I still feel sorry for him too, he just went down a bad path" Beca responded sadly.

"I do too, he was a great man" Chloe followed. "Was he able to get any help?"

"Thankfully yea, he's serving the remainder of his sentence working for Tony Stark" she smiled. "Thought he could redeem himself in some sense by using his genius for better purposes when stark came to him with the offer" Beca stated, happy for the doctor. "I've asked Tony about him a few times, he says he's doing really good there"

"Well that's great to hear, I'm happy for him" Chloe smiled in relief.

"Me too"

"I'm especially happy that you had someone like Gwen before I came into ur life" Chloe added honestly. "I can tell she ment a lot to you, I'm surprised you don't talk about her more"

"I...don't wanna make you jealous" Beca blushed.

"Why should I be jealous? Ur with me now" she wrapped her arms around her neck this time.

"True, and I was never really with her, technically speaking" Beca agreed. "There were some things I wanted that, sadly, she just couldn't fill in for me, but you have"

"So....I'm the person that reminds you of that view of the city you loved so much?" she sheepishly asked.

"No" Beca replied like it was obvious, then cupped both of the ginger's cheeks. "Ur so much better, I've hardly even thought of that since I met you" she sweetly smiled. After a brief moment, the ginger showed her how grateful she was when she pulled her in for a passionate kiss. It was quickly getting heated, too heated even, before Beca had to break it. "Ok ok, come on we gotta finish unpacking" she laughed.

"Aww but I want you" she faked a pouty face.

Beca grew a devilish smirk and leaned in closer. "If we finish with this room, you can have all of me tonight" she whispered in a sultry voice, her eyes slightly darker.

"Mmm, sounds like a deal" Chloe whispered back, also with darker eyes, before pecking the brunette's lips and going back to unpacking. "But I am really glad she was there, before I knew, so you had someone who could help you with ur mom and everything" she added.

"Thanx, you would've liked her too, she was great" Beca smiled.

"Maybe someday you can introduce me" she smiled excitedly. "You still talk to her any?"

"Actually, she just contacted me last night" Beca enthusiastically replied.

"Really?" Chloe's face lit up.

"Yea, she wanted to meet up this Saturday and catch up, she asked how things were and I told her...basically what's happened in the last few years" she informed.

"Basically?" Chloe laughed.

"Y-yea" she laughed back. "She was sad to hear about Jesse but glad me and Amy were still doing well, she thought it was beyond a miracle that someone got me to join an acappella group" she giggled.

"So you told her about me?" she smiled arrogantly.

"Of course, I told her how I was engaged to a beautiful, yet very perverted redhead" she grinned as she wrapped her arms around the ginger's neck, receiving a slap on the arm for her comment.

"Well you tend to bring out the beast in me" Chloe argued playfully.

"I sent her a picture of you as well, she thought you were very pretty and was happy for me" she continued and the redhead's cheeks flushed a little. "And she told me how she just got hitched with a guy named... Eddie.... something" she shrugged, not being able to remember his name. "And I was very happy for her"

"Well I can't wait to meet her" she eagerly stated, looking forward to this Saturday.

"Me neither" Beca replied before pecking her fiancee's lips again. "Now come one, let's finish this" she pulled away and went to the next box.

"Ok" Chloe breathed out. Beca caught how she was staring at the ceiling and got a little worried.

"What? What is it?"

Chloe slowly turned back to her hero before responding. "This is our first home together, with just you and me" she pointed out in disbelief.

Beca smiled and went to embrace her future wife yet again. "Hard to believe, huh?"

"Extremely" she dryly laughed. "But I'm very happy, and I'm glad Gwen was able to convince you to go to N.Y.U"

"Me too, because she was right" Beca agreed. "I found someone great, someone who I consider the best person on earth, and she makes me very happy" she proudly stated. Chloe felt all kinds of raw emotion and love before she leaned back in to capture the brunette's lips, quickly showing her just how happy she was to have her in her life. She wasted no time in deepening the kiss and letting the passion grow more and more and letting her hands explore wherever they pleased. "Ok, you know what" Beca mumbled into the kiss before pulling away. "We're taking a break from unpacking" she stated matter of factly.

"Sounds great" Chloe giggled before she was hoisted up and gently laid on the bed, where Beca straddled her waste and began to make both of them very happy.

A/N: see? I promised you guys bechloe moments in this 😁. So, I know this was very different than what you would normally expect, but I hope you guys enjoyed it nonetheless. This may be the last of the SS and one-shots for a while as I am beginning a new story. So in the meantime, I'll do my best to write a one-shot here and there and maybe another short story or two, and all of you please leave prompts in the comments below and remember, you can leave prompts for one-shots AND short stories.
