Just found out that my landlord when I was living in Italy was part of the mafia

Like I knew that because of the color that the house was painted we were never robbed

But didn't ever realize that it was like actually mafia stuff

But we have friends over rn and the parents were talking about mafia stuff and I left my eavesdropping to actually ask this and my mom explained it but my dad cut her off and very seriously nodded and said "yes he was"

So many things about visiting the landlord's place makes sense now omg—
