I have never seen such a beautiful sight as hundreds of thousands of fireflies filling the fields around this town I'm moving to
I knew there were fireflies round, but not... This many. I couldn't even begin to describe it. There were probably dozens, probably more, flashing at once in every field for a good 15 minutes of driving. Not to mentions the ones I couldn't see because they weren't flashing!

I want (read: NEED) to draw this to try and capture what I'm trying to describe, but I don't have the tools. All I have is mechanical pencils, fine liners, and gel pens :/

I couldn't get a picture on the road either. Moving too fast and it was too dark. But there were just hundreds upon thousands of fireflies!

I do this picture that is sort of my remake one to show how much I've improved (well, it's the only picture I've actually done a redraw of) called Fireflies with one of my characters, and I think once I get settled in my new house in August I'm going to do another sort of remake based on this

I just... Can't describe the magic they seemed to hold. I got a video at my neighbor-to-be's house, but that was only a fraction of what we saw on the way back to the hotel.

I've thought of three different ways at least they I could attempt to depict this and I don't think any of them will truly capture that car ride

I damn hope (that's how much I hope) that they fireflies will be like this next year so my dad can use his big fancy camera and do a super low exposure and slow shutter speed so it will capture all the fireflies over a couple minutes and maybe then I'll be able to really show you all how amazing this was. It's something I want to share because it's the little things that count in life and it's not every day nature gives you a beautiful gift that makes you smile
