Chapter 4

Dracos POV
________________

I quickly got off the train and into a boat with Crabbe and Goyle trailing behind me. I don't know why, but I had butterflies in my stomach whenever I was near that girl. It's probably just motion sickness.

Motion sickness?!? Who was I kidding? I loved flying around on my broom. I pushed my thoughts aside and watched Trixie standing there dumbfounded, obviously not knowing where to go now. Haha poor girls' lost without me. Well, I can't lie, so many would be I mean just look at my handsomeness!

Smirking, I fixed my gaze on the castle ahead of me. This is where I would be spending the rest of my year. In a school, learning useless things, with people not worthy of my presence.

Yay me!!

Trixie eventually ended up sharing a boat with none other than Pansy Parkinson, a nasty she-devil who visited me and my parents often. Pansy had this obsession over me, I mean what girl couldn't? But still, the prat was annoying.

We took off, our boat in the middle of the group. I spotted Trixie in the corner of my eyes looking at all the people in awe. She must not be used to seeing so many people, especially ones her age. It was quite funny actually, I couldn't hold back the laughter that escaped my lips. She turned towards me, and did something I wasn't expecting, she gave me some sort of smile, which made Pansy glare daggers at her. I laughed harder.

She looked at me confused, and I made a small gesture to Pansy and she got the point which made her laugh. Pansy then saw me looking at her and quickly turned away, blushing. Soon after, the laughter died off, leaving only the small chatter between the first years as we arrived at the docks. "Come along!" The big man bellowed leading us to a huge set of doors. Waiting there was a very stern looking lady. Her gray hair in a tight bun and her lips in a straight line as if she didn't want to be here. Once we came to view, she lifted the corners of her mouth a bit into a very ugly smile if you ask me. "Thank, you Hagrid they're fine with me now." She said quietly, "Of course Minerva." The old lady led us into the castle and down the long hall. Trixie ran up to me, "Whats her problem?" She asked, looking at Pansy who was staring at me with big eyes. "I don't know, I think she was dropped on her head as a baby."

She busted into laughter, gaining a few glares from other students and the old lady. When we got to yet another pair of doors, the old lady started laying rules. Which we listened to and probably were going to ignore later on.

Then the moment finally came, we were led into the big room which held the item that revealed our futures. Too bad I already know mine. I wasn't all nervous or anything when it was time for the sorting, neither was Trixie, I guess she wasnt as fearful as I thought.

Trixie's POV
________________

I was scared out if my mind. The ride over to the castle was amazing, but once I heard that we would have to stand in front of the whole school to get sorted? I flipped then. Usually I wouldn't care if I was the center of attention or whatever, because usually I would only see that person one time. These students will see me everyday until I leave this school and that's about seven years!

Knowing me, I would trip or something and be a laughing stock. Merlin, this was nerve-racking. How is Draco not nervous at all? Oh wait, its becuase he always has people around him whereas I'm alone.

I tried to look calm, and I think it worked to. Draco looked over at me with a surprised face, probably because all the other girls were being all dramatic while I acted like this happened everyday. I'm glad he cant read minds.

I have him a smile and focused my attention on the lady, who I now know is called Professor McGonagall. Odd name.

She started calling the names of the first years in alphabetical order, each kid so far barely made it up there without tripping.

"Longbottom, Neville!"

I lied,

"Griffindor!!"

Dracos mouth widened in shock, but he closed it quickly. "How did he make it into Griffindor? Isn't Griffindor for the brave? He nearly wet himself walking up there!!"

A few kids laughed, while others gave him a cold glare like McGonagall. She turned away and continued with her list.

"Malfoy, Draco!" She called.

Draco walked proudly on the stage and the hat was placed on his head. Literally as soon as it touched a single hair the hat screamed, "Slytherin!!" Draco smirked and walked towards his new table, while a cold sweat appeared on my forehead.

More and more students went by, hardly any of them were worth while, but one certain name caught my attention along with the rest of the school. "Potter, Harry!"

The students all broke put into gasps and hushed whispers. I looked towards Draco who seemed unfazed as if he already knew. The boy who lived is here?

Harry shakily walked into the stage and the room went dead silent. The hat was placed on his head and stayed there, for a very long time. It felt as hours passed when we were waiting for the hat to make its darn decision. Finally it yelled out, "Griffindor!"

The Griffindor table screamed and cheered loudly, while other tables clapped without any care. They continued with the sorting.

"Roseblood, Trixie!" McGonagall finally shouted out.

I walked towards her with the same amount of confidence Draco had, I was so glad I was a decent actor. If I couldn't, then I probably would be shaking and falling over more then Neville.

Sitting on the stool, I relaxed a bit without anyone knowing of course. The hat fell upon my head.

"Why hello dear." The hat whispered in my head, "Uh, hi"

"You are quite different then those I've seen so far today. The others are always with someone, blind to all sense and intelligence whilst your an isolated girl, left alone to notice every single speck without distractions. It feeds your brain, makes you smarter." It said, "Scared, but courageous, loyal to few but make others loyal to yourself. You sure know how to get your way."

I smirked a bit,

"You are quite a trickster Trixie, all I have to say to that is..."

"Slytherin!!"
