Today's the day.

My trunks all packed, Xanders in his cage and Jinx is on my shoulder. I was ready. But once I looked at the clock, my happiness drained away. Three hours left.

Why are all the best things so far away?

Sighing, I flopped down on my bed scaring Jinx. She tried to jump off the mattress, but I grabbed her and snuggled her against my side. "Can't you wait until we get to Hogwarts Jinx?" She purred and curled up against me soon falling asleep.

Great, now im bored and lonely

Just then a house elf popped in scaring the hell out of me and Jinx who bolted under the desk. I glared at the elf and stuck my hand under the desk in search of the kitten, but all I got was a few small scratches on my hand. That cat did not want to leave her hideout.

"Master wants you to come to the dining hall for breakfast now Miss." She quickly said, seeing the daggers that were practically shooting from my eyes with the glare I gave her. "I'll be down in a sec."

I opened my door and she ran out of it and down the stairs while I quickly fixed my hair and grabbed shoes. My house felt warmer today, probably because mum and dad are here. It makes the place less, well empty. Or it could just just be my excitement. Wait a second, why am I excited for school?!?

I pushed away my thoughts and rushed to the dining hall where mum, dad and the Malfoys were. They all turned their heads towards me once I stepped it, I was kinda surprised. No one told me the Malfoys were coming today.

"Hey Trix, sorry I forgot to tell you that we were having guests today." Dad said while bringing me over to the table. I began to look for a spot to sit when mum spoke up. "Trixie, why dont you sit next to Draco? And after breakfast you can show him around or something." My eyes flew to the seat next to Luscious which was inhabited by Draco himself. It was new, mainly because his parents always left him at home. I sat down next to him when the elves brought in our meal, which was just some basic oatmeal and fancy fruits. The men drank firewhiskey while the woman drank tea, excluding me and Draco of course, who shared a jug of water.

The meal was long and boring, as soon as it ended me and Draco fled the room in search of escape. Eventually we stopped at the staircase leading to my room trying to get some air. "So.." I said, "Do you want a tour or something?" Draco shook his head, "No need, I know this place as well as my own home, I was exploring earlier while our parents were talking at the door."

"Ok, uh want to head up to my room?"

"Sure, it's better than staying with that lot." He replied, gesturing to the dining hall which they probably were still in.

Once we got inside he plopped down on my bed flipping through a random book that was laying there. "This is one of those books by that Lockhart fellow, do you actually read this?" He said disgusted.

Releasing Xander from his cage I replied, "No, I am not a fan of books."

"Than why do you have it?"

I sighed and sat next to him, "Mum loves to read, she isnt a fan of Lockhart either but, she wants me to get and interest in reading." My boredom was slipping into my voice as I continued speaking, "She figured I would read that crap since apparently we girls love him. Not me, or anyone I know actually, I think he's a mudblood magnet." He chuckled

"Draco! Trixie! Come on down its time to go!"

Gwen and a few other elves shakily carried my trunk and Xanders cage, which he reluctantly flew back into. Draco three the book back onto the bed and me and him walked out together with Jinx on my shoulder.

Mum and dad were no where to be seen as we met Luscious and Narcissa at the bottom of the steps. Before I could open my mouth to utter a single word Luscious raised a hand and spoke. "Your parents asked us to accompany you to the train while they work."

I nodded disappointed, why do they never have time for me?

The Malfoys apparated me and Draco as close as possible to the muggle train station and walked inside, searching for the entrance to our train. We eventually ran through the brick wall leading to platform 9 3/4 and gave our trunks to a man who loaded them up in the train.

"Now why don't you two go find yourselves a seat?" Narcissa said kindly.

Draco said something to his dad and we climbed aboard finding an empty compartment. After we were seated, two very ugly guys walked in, one was tall and the other was short, they both needed to lay off the chocolate frogs.

They slid inside the compartment and sat on the bench across from me and Draco, who acknowledged their presence by nodding his head at them. They returned the gesture. The blonde boy must have noticed my discomfort because he looked away from the window and broke the silence. "Right uh, Trixie thats Crabbe and Goyle, my companions." I nodded slowly and leaned back, closing my eyes while Draco talked about something about houses with the two boys."

"So what house?" Draco asked suddenly causing me to open my eyes.

"Huh?" I said, dumbfounded.

He smirked, "What house do you think your going to be in?"

"Oh, Slytherin."

He nodded and returned to his window and I turned my gaze to the ceiling my eyelids feeling heavy.

"Wake up already!" Draco said shaking me, making Jinx fall to the floor panicking.

"What?!" I muttered angrily, glaring at the blond boy.

"We're almost there, so go put on your robes."

Slowly, I sat up and saw all three boys all fully dressed in their uniforms while I was still in my jeans and dark tee. I scooped Jinx I'm my arms and set her on the seat while Draco recoiled in disgust, "Whats with you and that thing? They're absolutely repulsive."

"She's not a thing!" I snapped, " Shes a cat! And she has a name you know!"

With that sentence, I stomped out the compartment and towards the changing rooms, once I returned Draco and his buddies were packing up. We arrived.

Jinx hopped on my shoulder and we walked out following Dracos group. "First years o'er 'ere first years o'er 'ere."

We all walked towards the big burly man with the dirty-looking beard, who pointed towards a lake filled with boats. Draco got in one with Crabbe and Goyle, leaving me all alone unsure of what to do. Eventually some girl walked up to me and poked my shoulder, "You can come with us if you want." She said,

"Ok, thanks."

She didn't reply, instead she walked over to one of the boats where some other girl was waiting. "It took you long enough Daphne!" The girl growled, she then noticed me standing behind Daphne and her face softened a little. "Who's this?"

"Trixie Roseblood," I muttered looking her in the eyes. She ignored it and stepped inside the boat. Daphne turned to me, "Ignore Pansy, she hasn't been that happy after she was forced to sit in my compartment."

"How come?" I asked curiously, she huffed "I guess she wanted to sit with some boy she knew apparently but, some wierd guy wouldn't let her past. He said, 'First years need to be seated and must not cause trouble.' before pushing her into my area."

"Oh" I said, unsure of what to say. We quickly got in our boat and started to leave shore along with the rest of the group. The view was amazing in this lighting. Hogwarts was truly a beautiful sight, I just knew I was going to enjoy my time here.
