Yumei Kazuma and Namjoon Kim had met each other seven years ago when they were children.

She was elven and Namjoon twelve, she had gotten out of the estate and wanted to explore the world beyond the big white walls that had kept her in.

Little did we know that Riyu had left the gates open to help Goro Kim to kidnap her to be held ransom and force Shito Kazuma to his knees.

She had wandered far to a small playground where she saw Namjoon reading a book and something about him had made her talk to him.

Namjoon had been intrigued by this strange girl who didn't seem that she should be outside, he had laughed inwardly at her silly pink tutu and two pigtails with ribbons in her hair.

But after talking with her, he found her a ball of energy and he wanted to make her smile and took her to an ice cream shop.

After buying her some ice cream he was walking back with her when a car stopped by their side and took her from him and he had heard her name while holding onto a pink ribbon as she was taken.

Namjoon had gone on a search for the little girl that had shown him to look at the world through different eyes and met Jin Kim, months later Hoseok Jung had joined their small circle.

Each year on the anniversary of her disappearance, Namjoon would start his investigation anew but could never have found a solid lead to were Yumei Kazuma could be.

Seven years he had tried to find her, each year he had failed but he never stopped. Jin and Hoseok had tried to make him stop with the excuse that it was an unhealthy obsession.

Destiny had other plans, on the day of the anniversary of her disappearance it was the start of the university semester and Namjoon had saw a girl who reminded him so much of the little girl that disappeared.

Yumei was excited to start her university, her father made her take an alias. She didn't want bodyguards and wanted to show him that she was all grown up and didn't need to live behind the white walls.

Yoongi Kim, her friend/bodyguard was enrolled with her also with an alias. He considers Yumei as a little sister and would do anything to keep her safe from harm.

So began the fateful day that truths and conspiracies started forming and secrets were coming to light.

Namjoon wanted to talk to her more than anything, had a small encounter with her when she and Yoongi fought.

Her small mannerism reminded him of the little girl and he was determined to prove that she was bit her bloodhound was always lurking.

A sports day had small twists when Unmei was forced by Hoseok to break Yumei's leg to put his plan in order.

Namjoon was there when Yumei fell and he took care of her till she was admitted to the hospital and Namjoon wanted to surprise her with a small star gaze.

Yumei was afraid to let Namjoon in but she came to realise that she wanted him to know the truth about who she was pretending to be.

Namjoon had found out that he was part of the yakuza family Kim and his father wanted him to stop seeing this girl because he was afraid that he might be drawn in.

The only thing was, he was already deep in the family secrets. Together with Tae, they started to get information on what is going on.

Yoongi couldn't believe his luck when he saw Unmei again. He had found his happiness again but his heart was a bit torn between the love of his life and to keep Yumei safe.

Conspiracies had brought all of them together with one goal in mind, "Save Yumei."

So how would all of this work out for them?

To trap the Kim family Tae, Namjoon, Yoongi and Unmei were supposed to keep an eye on her at the party that Jin wanted Namjoon to plan.

But with Tae's friend Jungkook who was his eyes and ears in the Kim family had done a double twist and took Yumei from the safety of the university so that Hoseok could spring his trap and bring everyone to justice.

So let us take a look at our characters and who they are.

Riyu Kim, who isn't Yumei's mother was still walking in the circles of the Kim family. She had killed Goro Kim to help Jin her eldest son advance in the family to take it over.

Jin Kim wanted revenge on what happened to his father and manipulated his mother into killing Shito Kazuma and end the Kazuma line and be the ultimate Yakuza boss.

Shito Kazuma wanted to get Yumei out of this life by the dying wish of his late wife Yunari Kazuma. He had pushed his daughter away to feel that she doesn't need him.

Majima the right-hand man of Shito Kazuma who is more of a father to Yumei than a bodyguard to the family. He wants her to be free because she doesn't belong in the Yakuza world.

Hoseok Jung who is Yumei's cousin by blood. His father was in the police force and married to Yunari's sister. His father was killed in an accident and he stayed in the Kim family to bring them down for what they did to his aunt.

Jimin Jung who is Yumei's cousin and brother to Hoseok. Their mother taught them the art of deception he grew up with Yumei and they're were inseparable until Shito Kazuma took him on as a prodigy to take over the family.

The sarge who is Yunari's brother had devoted his life to bring the Yakuza down so that there might not be any more harm brought to anyone's family.

Jungkook Jung one of the police's geniuses who is quick-witted and knows how to infiltrate families had almost bitten off more than he could chew when he came up with a brilliant plan to enter the Kim family. He couldn't believe the small twists and secrets that unravelled with the small-time he had spent with the family.

Tae Jeong is the IT genius and when Namjoon came on the police radar he had been planted to keep an eye on him but he became close friends with Namjoon.

Unmei Shino was in middle school with Yoongi, her heart broke when he had left without a word. To think that she would have seen him seven years later had changed her world again. She had kept the promise in her heart that he had said, "I will marry you one day."

Yoongi who left his family after what they have done and he didn't want to be part of it. He wanted to be free and become a pianist as his childhood friend Unmei had encouraged him to be. He had thought that was what he could become by doing Shito Kazuma's bidding. Yet he grew close with Yumei and it had changed his mindset but after he saw Unmei he fought harder for his freedom.

Namjoon who only wanted to find the girl that was taken from his hand had realised that deep down he had loved her since the first time they have met. He thought that he had only wanted to save her but in truth, she had saved him.

Yumei the girl who has a weak immune system, who was forced to live behind big white walls because she every little thing could send her to the hospital. She fought against her weakness and tried to turn it into a strength by doing things she wasn't meant to. She wanted to be free from her jail that was the walls that wanted to keep her caged. She fell in love with Namjoon because he was caring and he resonated with her soul.

Goro Kim had an unhealthy obsession with Yunari, he wanted to be the one who was her husband so on a day he had shot Yunari and thus began the small ripple effect of the sins of the parents. He had brought up Jin to have the same obsession.

Neu Kim, Namjoon's father and brother to Goro. After he found out what his brother did he broke free from the family to keep them safe.
