Chapter 53
Yoongi's alarm went off and he stretched his arm to hit the alarm but he missed. It started running from his nightstand. "I should have never gotten this thing."
He opened the covers and climbed out of bed and chased his alarm, he finally caught it and he threw it on his bed. He let out a yawn, "New day, with new possibilities."
He smiled, he was going to sew Unmei again and his heart fluttered. He walked to his closet and opened it to grab a pair of jeans and a t-shirt with some sneakers.
He grabbed his bag from the floor and he was already planning his day, first, he will drop the letter at the mystery club then he would go and find Unmei.
He opened his bedroom door, the house was quiet, he looked at the rooms. No one was stirring so he would probably get something to eat at the university. He slung his bag over his shoulders and walked down the stairs.
He entered the kitchen and found Jimin already seated at the kitchen counter, he looked up. "Good Morning."
"Good Morning, did you have a good nights rest?"
Jimin shook his head, "No. I haven't, I have talked with Mr Kazuma and we had a few words."
Yoongi blinked. "You have? This sounds serious."
Jimin nodded. "Yes, he was screwing up our plan."
Yoongi sat down at the counter and stared at Jimin. "What do you mean?"
Jimin sighed. "He went and called Neu Kim, who is Namjoon's father-"
Yoongi lifted his right hand in the air and stopped Jimin from talking. "Did you say, Neu Kim?"
"I did but-"
Yoongi didn't give him a chance to explain, "As in my father's brother?"
Jimin nodded, "Yes... as in your uncle."
Yoongi had known that his uncle had left the Yakuza family and he knew he had a cousin but not in his wild dreams had he thought that it would be Namjoon... "How long have you known?"
"I only found out yesterday evening."
Yoongi's mind was running, he was setting up the girl he came to love as a sister with one of his family members... who would have thought?
Namjoon wasn't like his family, that he came to find out before he knew who he was. He had seen his soul in these two days, he was gentle and caring so that made him perfect.
He was shocked but everything would work out as it should. He made Yumei smile and that was enough of him. "So what dit Mr Kazuma do?"
Jimin fisted his right hand, "He phoned him to offer a marriage proposal."
Yoongi jumped up from his seat. "You are kidding me?!"
Jimin shook his head. "No, I am not. I have told him why did he do that when you and I were working on the plan already to get them together."
Yoongi licked his lips, "That could ruin everything. If I know my uncle he would stop at nothing to keep them apart. I guessed he said no?"
Jimin nodded. "He did... So we have our work cut out for us but Majima is on board."
Yoongi let out a sigh, this was troublesome and he guessed that his mother wasn't all too happy about this whole ordeal anyway.
"That is good to know, let me know what we are going to do. I have to get going."
Jimin waved at him. "Majima is already waiting for you."
Yoongi walked from the kitchen to the garage, so that was why Riyu was so upset yesterday evening. Mr Kazuma must have told her about his plans from the beginning and if Yumei was no longer here that meant she was no longer needed.
And that made her dangerous, he saw Majima leaning against the car. He nodded in greeting and got in. She was still a spy.
Namjoon woke up with a knocking at his door. "Joonie, it is time to get up!"
He let out a groan, he didn't sleep well at all. His mind had been working on scenarios and how they would be doing this mystery party that would be held in a few weeks.
He hated nights like that, it was like when you play Tetris and your mind kept building blocks. He pulled the covers from himself, "I am up."
He yawned, the first day without seeing Yumei. His spirits dampened, "I wish I could see her smile."
He got up from the bed and walked to his closet door. He grabbed pants and a t-shirt with his sturdy walking shoes. After he got dressed he grabbed his books and looked down at Yumei's book.
His hand reached for it, "I should give this back to her."
It wasn't going to be today nor tomorrow. He picked it up and added it to his books, he smiled. "I'll read this again."
He opened his bedroom door and walked down the stairs. He wasn't very happy with what he and his father talked about yesterday.
He entered the kitchen, his father wasn't reading the newspaper and was staring at him as he entered. His mother already plated his pancakes.
He mumbled a good morning before taking a seat, he put his books next to him. His father opened his mouth but his mother spoke. "Joonie, your father and I talked."
He looked in his mother's direction.
"You are grounded, so after classes, you will be coming home-"
Namjoon opened his mouth but his mother continued. "End of discussion."
Namjoon stood abruptly and grabbed his books, he didn't say anything as he walked out of the door. What was the point in arguing anyway?
He blinked as a familiar car pulled into the driveway, the window rolled down. "Good Morning."
Namjoon climbed in the car, "I didn't remember that we agreed that you'd pick me up?"
Tae smirked. "I thought I would surprise you."
Namjoom buckled and Tae reversed the car, "Consider me surprised."
Tae cocked his head in his direction. "Something wrong?"
Namjoon let out a sigh, "My father and I had a disagreement yesterday evening and now I have been grounded."
Tae sped up. "What? That is not good, how are we going to?"
Namjoon grinned. "I didn't agree to be grounded so I have my ways."
Tae laughed. "You will be a master detective in no time."
Silence fell over them and Namjoon was staring out the window. Yoongi had told him that he had a plan for him and Yumei, so he was curious about what it would be.
Maybe he should convince him to get her a cellphone so they could talk at least. Tae let out a breath, "So what happened, if I may ask?"
Namjoon turned his gaze from the window and looked down at Yumei's book. The pink ribbon was sticking out.
"My father got a call from, Mr Kazuma and he had a meeting with him to discuss Yumei."
"And?"
"Mr Kazuma offered my father a marriage proposal and my father refused."
"Wait... Mr Kazuma wants you to marry his daughter without him knowing you?"
Namjoon nodded, his fingers trailed the cover of the book. "Yes, it sounded to me like her father wants her to get out of this life... and my father flatly refused his offer. I got angry, this was the first time my father turned his back on someone innocent."
Tae didn't know what to say, this was getting weirder by the minute. Everyone was working to that goal, but him being a genius spy made him doubt the poor girl. "I am sorry."
"You have nothing to be sorry for, so I have told him I understood his reasons for not interfering with the Yakuza but he should understand my feelings. I didn't tell him that I know Yumei only her alias."
"So that is why you are grounded?"
Tae stopped parked the car at the university and looked at Namjoon. "Yes, because of my beliefs..."
Tae placed his hand on his shoulder. "Not your beliefs, but your heart."
Namjoon lifted his head and blinked at Tae. Yes, his heart, she was the only girl he thought of ever since that day seven years ago, she became the air he breathed and every thought.
Tae smiled, "Let us get going. We have class in the afternoon, so let us go on our trip."
Namjoon smirked. "Let us make it the best mystery trap ever."
They both got out of the car and walked to the mystery club. Namjoon thanked his stars that there wasn't a surprise waiting for them in the name of Jeoni.
Tae opened the door and they both went in. Tae sat behind his desk and started the computer, "I'll type our plan and back it up so that we don't have notes laying around."
Namjoon sat in front of Tae and placed his books on the desk, "Sounds good to me."
Tae blinked. "You brought her book?"
Namjoon smiled. "Yes, I have a feeling that I should read it."
Tae rolled his eyes. "You are one strange human being."
They both laughed, there was a knock on the door. The laughter stopped and they both looked at each other. Tae mouthed, "Jeoni?"
Namjoom shrugged but he got up to open the door and he paused. Yoongi stood in the doorway.
Yoongi didn't smile, he kept his face emotionless. He had to keep up his exterior, "I have brought you something."
Namjoon stammered, "Brou- brought me something?"
Yoongi nodded and opened his bag to take out the letter. "Yes, I am the messenger of the fairy princess."
Namjoon blinked as Yoongi held out a letter that had been sealed with a rainbow sticker. He took the letter and his hand trembling slightly.
"Thank you." Namjoon stared at the letter that was in his hand, it was a purple envelope. He turned it around and in small lettering, "Joonie."
His heart skipped a beat, so was this their way of communication? He smiled, this was so... personal.
Yoongi zipped up his bag, "I will be back with your reply to our fairy princess."
His attention snapped back to Yoongi, "I will make sure that I would have your reply."
Yoongi nodded and left Namjoon standing in the doorway with Yumei's letter.
