Chapter 50
Jimin stood still, the door was still open and he saw Mr Kazuma sitting behind his desk. He licked his lips, he shouldn't let it show that he had heard their conversation.
He dropped his hand and entered the office, closing the door behind him. "Good evening, sir."
Mr Kazuma let out a sigh, "Jimin, did you hear our conversation?"
"I have no idea what you are talking about. I just got here."
Mr Kazuma nodded, "I fear that the deal I have with Riyu is on the rocks now."
Jimin sat down in front of his desk, "Sir?"
Mr Kazuma's gaze softened at him. "She made a deal by raising my daughter till she was of age and now that Yumei was of age... Riyu is not needed."
Jimin figured this would happen but why did he decide to tell her this early? This could be a thorn in their side. Sometimes Mr Kazuma wasn't smart when it came to the planning of small details.
"Sir, I am going to be blunt. Why did you tell her of your plan of getting Yumei out now?"
Mr Kazuma blinked, "Because she found out that I have been talking to Neu."
What does Neu Kim have to do with this? "And what of it sir?"
Mr Kazuma sighed, "Neu is Namjoon's father and that makes him related to Yoongi."
Jimin blinked, Namjoon was one of them? The Kim family? What was Mr Kazuma thinking? Wait what were they thinking? He opened his mouth but Mr Kazuma interrupted him.
"It is not as bad as you think, Neu Kim, cut ties with his family after what happened with Yunari."
Jimin gulped, that was a relief to hear. He wondered if Yoongi knew that Namjoon was his cousin? "So you went to talk with him?"
Mr Kazuma leaned back in his chair, "Yes. I have offered him a marriage proposal between Yumei and Namjoon."
"I guess it didn't go well?" What was Mr Kazuma thinking? Was he so desperate to get her out that he wouldn't let him and Yoongi work their plan?
It was a good plan, they were already infatuated with each other, why force them into a marriage?
"No, he was reluctant and I said it would be safe for both our children. They would be out of this life, out of this country and we would anonymously send money to them."
"Sir, there is a flaw in our plan."
Mr Kazuma narrowed his eyes, "What on earth do you mean?"
Jimin bit his lip hard, yes they all want her safe and out but how will they explain to her and just cut off all ties.
"We would have to tell Yumei the truth."
Mr Kazuma sprung to his feet, "Over my dead body!"
Jimin stood up from his chair too, "You are not thinking, sir. If you just ship her off under a new name... she will break. She wouldn't understand why you did this."
His nostrils flared, "She would just think it is another safety measure-"
Jimin's hands fisted, "No! We might get away with it for a few months but what about the years?"
Mr Kazuma lowered his head, he knew that Jimin was right. Yumei was smarter than that and wouldn't fall for a trick like that. "What do you suggest?"
"We have to tell Yumei, everything."
"I can not do that..."
Jimin took a step forward, "It would be the last piece before we get her and Namjoon out of here."
Mr Kazuma looked up at Jimin, "Namjoon? Are you-"
Jimin let out a sigh. "They are already infatuated with each other. And he is perfect for her but as I have said we would have to tell her."
Mr Kazuma turned his back on Jimin, "Give me time to think about it."
"You are out of time, your perfect house is busy falling apart. The only person that was here to greet Yumei was Majima."
Mr Kazuma's back stiffened at Jimin's words. He already broke his promise to pick her up and now he wasn't even there when she returned.
Majima's words resonated within him, "I am as much if her father than you are."
Jimin thought that he had gone too far but he had to tell him, Yumei was broken already and by doing this his way; may break her further.
"You are out of time." He repeated the words and left Mr Kazuma's office. He closed the door behind him and found Majima standing there.
"We have to talk."
Yoongi closed Yumei's bedroom door behind him. He heard footsteps stomping up on the stairs and he lifted his eyebrows.
Riyu appeared on top of the stairs, she didn't even glance in his direction as she marched to her room and slammed the door shut. "Trouble in paradise?"
He shook his head and went to his room, the letter was still in his hand. He was curious about what she might have written but he promised that he wouldn't read it.
He closed his door behind him and opened his bag that was next to his drawer and placed the letter safely inside. Tomorrow would be interesting.
There won't be any initiations so he wondered if their classes would startup. He was excited at that thought, he was going to be a pianist. He smiled as he flipped on his head.
The best part of tomorrow would be seeing Unmei again, he couldn't wait to see her. He was happy that they were on speaking terms again. He closed his eyes and fell asleep.
Jungkook left the living room as quietly as he could. His heart was pounding in his chest. Hoseok knew who he was, he still didn't know if he was in trouble or not.
He closed the door behind him and looked down the hall where Jin's office was. Jin and Hoseok were standing outside the door, he licked his lips.
Hoseok was looking at him and he saw Jin turn around, he waved his hand towards him. He made his legs move towards them, "You need me, sir?"
Jin nodded and Hoseok opened his office door for them. "Yes, now that you are in my circle, I need you on a plan of mine."
Jungkook's eyes lit up, so he already came up with a plan? This should be interesting, he went in after them and waited to be told to take a seat.
Hoseok closed the door with a hard slam. "Sorry, it slipped."
Jin sat behind his desk and folded his arms. "Well, sit down both of you."
Hoseok walked forward and followed Jungkook and both sat down in front of his desk.
"So this is the plan, Namjoon would be organising a mystery party for us and I have told Hoseok, this is where we would kidnap Yumei Kazuma."
Jungkook tried his best to keep his face emotionless, the sarge would love to hear this.
Hoseok nodded, "So at this stage, we are unsure of what he is planning. We are going to have a talk with him tomorrow and then plan further from there."
Jungkook bit his lip on the inside, "So where would I fit in?"
Jin grinned, "You will be doing the kidnapping so there wouldn't be suspicion to fall on us."
He would be doing what now? That was a huge risk, not only for them but him too and that would mean he wouldn't be able to involve the sarge. "I can see where you are going with this."
"That is good Yamato, you are smarter then you look."
Well, he was smart but not smart enough to have fooled Hoseok apparently. His pocket was itching with his phone... He still hasn't received a reply from Tae yet.
Hoseok cleared his throat, "Then we will continue this conversation when we know what Namjoon was planning."
Jin leaned back, "Yes and then I will contact my mother. I have a small job for her."
Jungkook blinked, 'His mother wasn't here?'
Hoseok stood up and motioned at Jungkook to follow him, "We will leave you to your thoughts, sir."
Jungkook wanted to know what Jin was planning but the look Hoseok gave him made him follow his silent order.
Hoseok walked to the door with Jungkook at his heels, he opened the door and waited for him to exit before closing the door.
Jungkook turned around, Hoseok smiled at him. "Let us go to the garden where we wouldn't be overheard."
Jungkook nodded, "Alright."
Hoseok started walking, Jungkook walked next to him. It was an awkward silence, they reached the garden, it looked like a maze and Hoseok pointed. "Let us go to the middle."
Jungkook's palms started sweating again, he was worried. Was this where no one would find his body?
The maze took a few turns until they reached the middle, there was a bench. Hoseok walked forward and sat down. "Sit Jungkook."
His legs were trembling, maybe he bit off more than he could chew. He sat down and kept his gaze forward.
"So how long are you with the police department?"
Jungkook gulped, so he knew everything? Should he?
"I already know, so you might as well come clean with me now."
Instead of answering his question, Jungkook replied with his own. "Why aren't you reporting me to Jin Kim?"
Hoseok leaned back into the bench, "Let us play truth for truth, Jungkook."
So he had another agenda? Jungkook turned his gaze and glanced at Hoseok. "Truth for the truth it is."
He saw Hoseok smirk at him, "Then let me start."
This took Jungkook by surprise, was this a good sign of faith? "Alright." He was curious at what lay beneath his happy demeanour.
"I am Yunari Ohama's nephew."
