Chapter 19
'A mystery party? That doesn't sound like a bad plan.' Hoseok opened his door and climbed out while holding the seat forward so Namjoon could exit. 'Maybe that would encourage people to join his club.'
Jin climbed out and slammed his door shut, "So what do you say?"
Namjoon made sure he had all his belongings before nodding at Hoseok that he can close the car. "I think that is a brilliant plan, it will help out my club."
Jim grinned at him, "I knew you would do it! Tell me what you come up with, Hoseok and I should get ready for our freshmen." Namjoon gave them a small wave. "Do not work them too hard you hear!"
They waved at him and led them standing there. This was a great opportunity for him, at last, his club can get some publicity. Now the only question was, what will the mystery house be about?
He was brought back from his thoughts by a car that was silently running when he turned his head, there in the alleyway was the limo.
He ducked behind Jin's mustang and peeked past the boot, he saw the door opened and Yumei climbed out, followed by her bloodhound.
Yumei inhaled a long breath, 'I can't get over the fact that this is how freed smells like.' She turned back and Yoongi was behind her. "Will we see you when we are done?" He asked Jimin.
Jimin smiled up at him, "Yumei can you give me and Yoongi second?" Yumei blinked at them, she slowly nodded her head and walked a few steps away. 'Did he want to talk strategy with him? I guess I am still a prisoner.'
Jimin climbed out of the limo and Yoongi stood back. "What is this about?"
"Yumei told me yesterday about her day."
Yoongi rolled his eyes, he told them too.
Jimin cleared his throat. "I know that look, you failed to mention that she met a man."
Yoongi's eyes widened, yes he didn't mention that part for one it would seem he couldn't do his job and second, it was irrelevant. "It is nothing I can not handle."
Jimin chuckled, "Have you heard the story about her knight?"
Where was Jimin going with this? "She told me."
Jimin placed his hands in his pockets. "She believes that the boy she met is this Kim Namjoon that she met seven years ago."
Yoongi began laughing, 'How was that possible?' He looked up and saw Jimin's expression was serious. "You don't think that is funny?"
"No, I don't. So here is your mission, I want you to find this Kim Namjoon and bring them together."
Yoongi's face turned into utmost shock. Bring them together? Did he know what he is asking? You can not force these things! He opened his mouth, "And what if he isn't?"
"Then we will form another plan to get her out of this life." Jimin climbed back in the limo. "Do not fail."
The limo started and drove off, Yumei walked back to Yoongi and saw that he was shaking. "Yo-Kiryu are you alright?"
Yoongi turned to her with a smile on his face, no, he wasn't alright. He was angry, angry at Jimin who didn't want to look into the family spy and angry at Mr Kazuma who was toying with Yumei's future.
It was the same as what his father wanted for him! "I am alright, Jimin just wanted to remind me, safety first."
Yumei looked unconvinced but didn't press Yoongi further. "Do you think we have to go to the roll call first or can we look for my book?"
Yoongi took her bag with the one Riyu packed for them and aligned it on his shoulders. "We will have to do roll call first and then when we break we can look for your book."
Yumei hid her disappointment, "So what do you think our initiation would be?"
They past closely at the mustang and Namjoon ducked down.
"I think we will be doing some activities, like sports."
Namjoon looked past the boot of the car again and saw Yumei pausing. "That means I wouldn't be able to-"
Her bloodhound stopped and turned around. He lifted his free hand and cupped her chin so that she looked up at him. "Yuki, you can. I will be at your side and get you through it."
Namjoon was leaning more forward because he couldn't hear what he was saying to her and one of his books fell. 'Shit!'
They stopped talking. "Why don't you go on ahead, I will be there in a few." Yumei nodded and left. Namjoon as quietly as he could, moved to the left side of the car. 'Please just move on.'
Yoongi walked to the car and saw that a notebook laid on the ground. 'This is suspicious.' He shrugged his shoulders and followed Yumei to the University's entrance.
Namjoon jumped as he felt a hand on his shoulder, "What are you doing, Joonie?" he turned his head up and looked up at Tae.
"You scared the living daylights out of me!"
Tae cocked his head and looked around. "Why are you crouching?"
Namjoon stood up, "I was hiding because Yumei was standing a few feet away from the car with her bloodhound."
'Bloodhound? Interesting, so she, really was Yakuza? Time to play dumb again.'
"Are you sure, that this Yuki is Yumei?"
Namjoon rolled his eyes, he already told him this but he still had to convince him his theory was true and he did find evidence.
"I am sure, I found evidence of it yesterday when I got home after we went out."
Tae was fiddling with his fingers, so since when does a Yakuza let his daughter walkabout. "Then show me the evidence of it and about her bloodhound as you call it. Could you be sure they aren't just friends?"
Yoongi entered the University and saw that the group of yesterday was huddled together. 'Great! More people...' He saw Yumei and walked to her, touching her arm. She turned around to face him and whispered. "They are splitting us again."
He frowned at Yumei, what were they planning with two different groups? "Don't worry, we will make sure that we end up in the same group."
Yumei was about to open her mouth but a voice called their attention. "Freshmen can we have your attention."
They looked to the front, "We are going to divide you into two groups of twenty and then we will have some fun!"
There were cheers, Yoongi and Yumei were quiet and her heart was beating fast. She was still worried about what the day will entail.
"So let us begin if I call your name, please proceed to Jin's side."
Yoongi's attention snapped up, 'They are going to do this alphabetically? That would be a problem.'
Yumei was twiddling her thumbs, "Kiryu what are we going to do?"
He stood closer to her, "Don't worry I will think of something." He touched her shoulder to assure her.
He bit his lip this was worrying he couldn't afford to go into his brother's group if he was with the other guy Hoseok he might be able to avoid Jin. The question is what about Yumei?
The names started to get called out, "Yuki Dodjima!"
Yoongi's eyes snapped to the front, 'No! Shit.' Yumei was trembling and he felt it under his hand that was still on her shoulder. "Yuki Dodjima!"
He didn't want to let her go but Yumei turned to him and held out her hand for her bag. "Kiryu?"
It felt as if his world was in a washing machine, it was spinning to fast. He blinked and found Yumei looking at him with a confused expression.
He slipped her bag from her shoulder and handed it to her. "Last call for Yuki Dodjima!"
Yoongi watched Yumei retreating and weaving through the crowd she squeaked. "Here!"
Yoongi's eyes looked to the front to see if there was any reaction on Jin's face but to his relief, there wasn't. The list went on and Hoseok stopped reading. "Alright know for the second group."
Yoongi looked at Yumei who was standing between people she didn't know, she looked uncomfortable.
He didn't hear Hoseok calling more names until, "Unmei Sato." He took his eyes from Yumei and stared to his right. 'Unmei?' He felt his heart leap.
'Unmei, she-she was here?' He saw the crowd parting and there she was. Her long Auburn hair was up in a high ponytail, she blinked her blue-grey eyes and walked forward.
Yoongi didn't take his eyes off her, 'Unmei it has been years.' He hadn't seen her since he was taken out of public school to go to a private all-boys school.
That was eight years ago and he hadn't talked to her since. She was his only regret to not keep in touch, she was the one who convinced him that he had to become a pianist.
He was angry back then well, he was still angry but it subsided a lot since then. She didn't let his angry demeanour get in the way to become his friend. He averted his gaze to the ground, 'Unmei, this is a second chance.'
"Kiryu Shoma!" His attention snapped up, wait he was going to be in the group with Unmei? Would she realise that it was he, Yoongi? His legs felt like lead as he walked forward to the group.
He looked to the ground, he then stopped a few people behind Unmei. What was he going to do? He wouldn't know how she would react if he confessed to everything.
