I know this has been a long time coming, but I suppose fourteen years later is better than never. I also suppose you hate me for not being forthcoming with all of the attempts you have made to reconnect over the years. I would like to say that I'm sorry, but I would rather we be candid with each other. All those years ago, I wasn't ready to meet with you. But now I am. 

I hope you accept my invitation to join me in San Bernadette for a handful of days. We can catch up and you can let me know how the years have treated you (hopefully well). Please, do let me know if it is something you would be open to. I understand if you're not, after all, it is my fault we have been estranged for so long.
