I looked at Jace and he interwined his fingers with mine to assure and comfort me. I sighed feeling very shy and scared.

"T-thank you ma'am." I said.

"Please. Call me Racheal." She said and hugged me. Whoa. I nod. She pulled away and turned to Jace.

"Jace, where are your brothers?" She asked.

"Probably upstairs." He replied.

"I'll call them down." Jace said.

What? Don't go!  Don't leave me alone! My eyes pleaded. He gave me a kiss on the cheek.

"You'll be fine." He whispered and walked away.

I turned and saw a smiley faced Racheal looking at me.

I sat down and tried to calm down. You have seen her before, you can do this.

I looked over my dress and felt great about it. It was a white lacy crop top with a decent cleavage and a tiny sleeve. A cream high waist flaired skirt and a white wedge.

I heard footsteps and I looked up to see Steve in a blue plaid shirt, white vest, and black trousers. His eyes widened when he saw me and he smiled.

"Philip. She's here!!!" He yelled. I heard running and shuffling. Philip came out only wearing jeans.

"You like?" He asked posing as a model.

"Philip." Racheal said. He grunt and I giggled.

"You really should stop hanging out with Philip." I told him and he smiled.

I've always asked myself that question. I closed my eyes and opened it. I smiled.

"Everyone wants to know who they are. I still haven't figured 'me' out yet. But I do know that i never take the people i love for granted." I said. Jace looked at me.

I smiled. A little bit shy because of the twelve pair of eyes looking at us.

"I actually thought he was gonna kiss her." Philip said.

"Me too." Steve said and the both of them high fived.

"I would have closed your eyes." Rachel said holding Steve's cheek lovingly.

"Well, on behalf of everyone, i welcome you to the family." Rachel said. I smiled.

"Thank you ma'am. I mean, Rachel." I said and she smiled at me.

The wind blew my hair making me feel alive. I was at Jace's room balcony and the view, was breathtaking. I felt arms around my waist and i instantly knew who it was.

"Jace." I whispered-moaned.

"Damn, do you want me that bad?" He asked.

I smiled. He shifted the hair on my neck and kissed my neck softly.

We stayed in silence and I smiled.

"Why haven't you been in school for the past weeks. We've been worried." I said.

That was a punch in my guts. I promised to be there for him as a friend,  and I couldn't be. I'm awful.

I suddenly felt sick. I don't even have an appetite for my muffins anymore.

"Are you?" I asked him.

"Liz, can we just drop it?" He asked.

"Every damn person i was scared of loosing dissapeared within a snap of a finger. My step mom refuses to amend things with Dad." He said. I held his hand.

"I'm sorry." I pleaded.

"I can't stay there anymore." He said.

"But you have to graduate." I told him. He looked at me.

"You have to. You might decide not to go to college. But we have to go through high school together." I said.

"We started it together. We finish it together. I'm sorry i couldn't fufil my promise. I'm sorry I wasn't there for you. But, this I promise to you. I will always try to get to you." I told him.

"Don't make a promise you can't keep." He told me.

"I'll try to keep this." I said.

"I'm very very sorry." I said.

"It's alright. I'll think about the school stuff." He said and sipped his coffee.

My phone buzzed and i checked it. Barbie. I smiled.

      How's it going?

I smiled and replied.

       It's going okay. Yale's awesome.

My phone rang and I checked the ID. James.

"Hey. You done?" I asked.

"Yep. There's even a frat party. Someone hooked me up." He said.

"So, what you are saying is that you are abandoning me?" I asked.

"You can come Beth. When was the last time you went to a party?" He asked.

"Not long. I'm just really not into partying right now." I said.

"Uhm, okay. You can stay at the hotel. I won't be late." He said.

"How was the interview?" I asked.

"Bad." He replied.

"Ouch. I'm sorry." I said.

"Don't be. I just need to shake it off aiit? I won't be late." He said.

"Bye." I said and disconnected the call.

"James?" Kelvin asked. I nod.

"So, you are alone for the night?" He asked me.

"Yeah." I said and sipped my peppermint latte.

"Would you be okay?" He asked.

"Yeah." I said smiling.

"I'll drop you off."

"Sure."

  Kelvin dropped me off at the hotel and hugged me bye. And i am currently on the couch looking at the TV really bored. It was ten in the night and I was preparing to sleep.

The doorbell rang and i opened it.

"Kelvin, what are you......? Are you drunk?" I asked him. He fell on me and i landed on the floor.

We are sooo close.

I pushed him away and stood up. I closed the door and looked at him.

"Hi." He said smiling like an idiot.

"Why have you been drinking?" I asked him.

"I was........ Only taking a few sips. And I landed here." He said.

I covered him with the duvet and was very tired. God, he is so heavy. I had shower and wore my pj's and went to the room.

I closed my eyes. And off to dreamland.

   I woke up and smiled as the sunrays filled the room. Oh, it's morning again! We have to get back home inorder not to miss Toby's birthday party. I stood up and saw shirtless Kelvin texting on his phone.

"I'm glad you are sober now." I told him.

He jumped and i giggled. He smiled and a touch of pink was on his cheeks.

"Morning." I greeted.

"Morning." He said.

"I'm so sorry for coming here." He apologized.

"It's okay." I said.

"I uhm, kind of have to go now." He said.

"Won't you eat something before you go?" I asked him.

"Nah. I'll grab something." He replied.

"Okay." I said.

"Thank you very much." He said. He hugged me and wore his shirt before dissapearing.

Five minutes later.

"Spill." James said coming into the room.

"Uhm, good morning to you too." I said rolling my eyes.

He grumbled.

"Morning. How was your night?" He asked.

"Fine....."

"Now. Spill." He said.

"What are you even talking about?" I asked him.

"I met Kelvin." He replied.

"Okay, calm down. Nothing happened. We met yesterday, we had coffee and he was drunk. He slept here. He's gone." I said. He came closer to me.

"Did he touch you?" He asked concern on his face.

"No. No. He just slept off. I was on the bed. He was on the couch. I won't do anything to hurt Jace." I said.

"Okay." He said.

"I'm so hungry. That party was loud. Don't tell Cin, but a girl kind of danced on me, but i pushed her away." He said.

"Why did you even allow her too?" I asked.

"I saw Cin's face. Blame drunk me. But i didn't cheat." He replied.

"Look at us, having encounters with people and having our partners back home." I said laughing.

"Yeah. Let's have our bathes, eat and run home. I miss Cin." He said.

"Whipped." I teased.

"Yeah yeah, whatever." He said.

I took off my PJ's and walked to the bathroom. I know what you are thinking, and yes, I did it in front of James. Cause, he's like my brother so duh.

"Don't spend all day in there Beth." He yelled.

"Okay." I said.

"I'm hooked." She said and Jace smiled.

He looked at me coming closer.

"I called you last night, you didn't pick." He said.

"Was busy." I said.

"Doing what?" He asked.

"Why didn't you tell me about your bucket list?" I asked.

I felt both of us getting in the edge.

"Hey guys! We have to be at Toby's." James called.

"I'm gonna go." I said and turned to go. But Jace pulled me back.

"Wait, wait, are you walking out on me?" He asked.

"What do you want me to say?" I asked him.

"Muffin, it's just a list." He said.

"It's not about the list. It's about the fact that you didn't tell me." I said.

"You are making a big deal about this." He said.

"I am?" I asked. He sighed and pulled me to a hug.

"Please let's not argue." He said. I wrapped my hands round his waist. My face buried on his chest.

"Besides, i painted you." He said and kissed my forehead.

"Awn. Did you miss me?" I asked.

"It's only one night." He shrug. I raised my eyebrows.

"Sure. You were busy planning how to break school rules with Cinnamon." I said.

"Gosh, not this again. Okay, i missed you. I missed you a lot." He said smiling.

"What? No, don't say it like I forced you to say it." I said. He looked at for a while and sighed.

"Let's make a deal, we forget about this issue and we'll fly a hot air balloon?" He asked.

"Deal."

"Let's get on that bike." I said and kissed him.

"Here comes the birthday boy!!" Stephen yelled and we all cheered.

  It was seven, teenagers had been bursting in non stop to Toby's mansion. I was wearing a short skirt with tank top and heels, Mia wearing the same. But Cinnamon was wearing black ripped jeans, and  red crop top under a big brown hoodie.

  Everywhere was lit, i saw some Diamond chicks, guys, and i could swear I saw some Audrounians too.

"Yo Toby. How does it feel being eighteen?" James asked Toby.

"It feels like every other birthday I've had, but wilder party. Thanks for coming." He replied as they bro hugged.

"Won't miss it for the world." James said.

"Aiit, now come on, let's get this party started!!!!" He yelled.

"Yeah!!!"

"Hey." Toby said hugging me.

"You look amazing." He complimented.

"So do you, thank you. Happy birthday Toby." I said.

"Thanks for coming." He said and moved to my handsome, hot boyfriend I've been holding onto so no girl can look at him more than a second.

Suddenly Cin came from no where and pulled his hair.

James gave her a back hug, therefore pulling her away from Toby. Toby patted his hair.

"Ow. Cin, I'm eighteen now. Stop this." He begged.

"Shut up." Cin said smiling.

"Happy birthday Toby." Mia squealed and hugged him.

"Thanks babe. Love the outfit. Hold up a second." He said and she released him.

"I've seen Simon and the others, where's Jonathan?" Toby asked.

I really have to check up on that guy.

"He uhm, isn't well." James replied.

Well that's a nice way to put it.

"Uhm, so why is everyone sad? Come on let's party!!" Mia yelled.

I know she is not okay, but covering it up.

"I gotta look for someone. Go have your drinks guys. We partying till dawn!!!" Toby yelled and we all cheered.

I took a gulp and felt like dancing, thank God my skirt isn't tight.

"Muffin." I heard that voice, fuck the loud music. Someone held my hand and i turned to see James.

"Hey. I hope you guys are okay?" James asked.

"Uhm, sure." I replied.

"I saw you guys arguing earlier,  was it about Kelvin? Did you tell him?" He asked.

"What about Kelvin?" I heard that voice.

Shit.

I turned to see Jace,  and he was not smiling.
