If it's time to go, remember what you're leaving.•

After about another hour and a half of us messing around in the game room, we are called down to help with dinner.

I begin to wring my hands together before forcefully stopping myself and simply letting them swing loosely at my side. Damian notices this and raises an eyebrow in question as if asking if I was okay. I nod my head once forcing a smirk on my lips.

Sure physically I was fine, but mentally I'm not prepared to meet full grown, adult wolves who probably want to rip my head off for being in their territory. I bit my lip, eyebrows furrowing slightly. I hear the conversation in the kitchen grow louder as we walk closer. I let out one final breath of air before calling my cocky mask to the front.

"Mom? Dad?" Damian asks, turning the corner into the kitchen. I follow with Coral and Connor next to me, Tommy and Ryan following us.

"Hey son," a deep voice grunts out. If I was in wolf form my hackles would've risen; he was powerful, and as I've learned in the past I don't do well with powerful wolves.

"Damian! Where is she?" Another voice says with a slight pouting sound. When the warm light of the kitchen finally hits my face, I make sure I have a neutral expression. "Oh Rick! She's gorgeous!"

My brown eyes zero in on the feminine voice; what I see is a female version of Damian which has me cracking a smile. They share the same eyes, strong nose, strong cheek bones; her features just feminine. Damian's mother sits on a stool, her grey eyes shining as she looks at me.

I turn my head and almost gape seeing a man with black salt and pepper hair wearing a pink and white lace apron, bustling around the kitchen. I quickly compose my face when the older Damian turns at his wife's words to look at me. His blank expression shifts into one of excitement.

"You're a lucky man, Damian." The man says pointing a wooden spoon to his son. "Don't fûck it up!" He says sternly. At his words the kids all crack up, Damian covers his face, and his mother gasps.

"Rick Jones Nightcresent! You watch your mouth!" The small light brown haired woman shouts hopping off her stool to steal the spoon and smack it upside his head.

"Ouch! Watch it woman!" The man, Rick, yells eyes wide. He realizes his mistake as his wife freezes, slowly turning her body to him.

"Woman?" She says eerily calm. Every male in the room gulps, as Coral and I exchange smirks.

"Janet, my love, my darling," Rick pleads taking a step towards his bristling wife.

"Oh don't you start with me you stinky, blubber butt, butt face!" Her insults make me want to awe at how innocent they were and laugh at how fearful Rick looked. But before anything could happen the back for slams open and in runs a little girl, waving a yellow green net around crazily.

"Momma! Papa! I got it! I got it!" The little brown eyed and brown haired girl twirls around the kitchen. I zero my eyes in on the net to see what exactly she had got.

"Oh my god!" Janet shouts her hands slapping over her mouth. "Lillian! Go let the poor thing go!"

I cover my mouth as the little girl stops, her bottom lip poking out. She lowers the net, where the chipmunk was currently clawing trying to climb out.

"But Mo-" She starts up, her big brown eyes meeting her mother's.

"No but's Missy. Go let it out." Janet says sternly. Lillian slumps her shoulders as she takes her walk of shame back out into the yard. Janet smooths her shirt, turning to face me. Her hair was now slightly frazzled which only made me love her more. "Now." Her gaze snaps to Damian who stands straight up. "Introduce me to her."

"Momma," Damian says, his use of Momma makes me smile, clearly seeing how much he loves his mother. "This is Enania, Enania Fenbella." He adds my full name as if in second thought.

"It's so lovely to meet you!" Janet says running over to me and wrapping me up in a hug. I stand stiff for a few seconds before relaxing in her motherly grip. As she pulls away to scan her eyes all over my face, Lillian runs back in, her fowl mood gone. "Rick, Lillian," Janet says her eyes never leaving my own, making me slightly nervous. I feel my hand go to fiddle with my green and blue bracelet, immediately calming me down. "Meet Enania, Damian's mate."

"It's nice to meet you." Rick says politely, walking over to give me a friendly smile. Before he could settle his arm over his wife's shoulders they're shoved apart.

I look down to see little Lillian stare up at me with big curious dark brown eyes. Her hands reach up, asking to be held. Janet open her mouth to scold her daughter but I scoop down and lift her up into my arms. So close I can feel the small pitter patter of her heart, and the chocolatey smell of her breath. I lean in to whisper in her ear secretly.

"Did you have chocolate?" I pull back a smile on my face as she looks at me in awe.

"Yes." She whispers back. I gasp looking at Janet conspicuously.

"I won't tell if I can have some sometime." I say sending her a little wink. Her grin broadens, my heart melting as I see one of her bottom teeth missing. Her small hand pokes my nose, causing me to scrunch it up and look at her in confusion.

"You're pretty." She says bluntly making me laugh softly.

"Well, you have brown hair and brown eyes... which means you're pretty too." I state it as a fact which makes her giggle. She turns to Damian and his family who all watch with soft smiles on the faces.

"I like her. She's mine." And with that Lillian wraps her arms around my neck and buries her head in the crook of my neck. I smirk to Damian, wiggling my eyebrows as he pouts at me.

"Aw, bro, your sister is stealing your mate." Tommy says side stepping me and Lillian to go snatch a chopped up carrot. Rick growls, though he has a teasing look on his face which morphs into enjoyment at the sound of Tommy's frightened yelp.

"You four," Janet says suddenly, her eyes on Coral, Connor, Tommy, and Ryan. "I need you to help with dinner. Rick, Damian, Enania, and I need to discuss a few things." This makes a lump form in my throat.

"Can I come too?" Lillian says raising her head from her cuddling spot.

"No honey, we just need to speak with these two for now." Janet says grabbing Lillian from me and placing her on a stool. "But you know what you can do," She says smiling evilly to Damian and I's friends. "Sing for them while they cook." With that she snatched her husbands hand, my hand, and motions for Damian to follow.

Once we reach the living room she sits me down on a two person couch with Damian. Then her and Rick sit across from us on a recliner, Janet perches on the arm.

"Um, I'd just like to say I officially apologize for being on your land without permission. Living with humans I never knew what was pack land or not." My head lowers in submission, even though I hate submitting, I wanted to show respect.

"Oh dear, that's no problem. Damian already explained your situation." Janet says breezily. I frown slightly confused.

"How?" I turn to Damian. "You were with me up there-" he cuts me off smiling gently.

"Wolves in a pack can communicate through a mind link." At his words my mouth shapes an 'o', as I faintly remember my dad blanking out then apologizing for needing to use the link to contact warriors.

"With that out of the way," I say smiling a little I look to Rick and Janet. "What can I help you two with?" I ask, wanting to know why Janet called us aside.

"Well, we want to know if you'd be willing to join the pack." She says. At her words I begin to shake my head no.

"We know you wish to stay a Fenbella Moon member, so we've come up with a solution." Rick speaks up grabbing his wife's hand. "We want to pass down our leadership to Damian." I feel Damian's eyes widen. "And since you'd be joining as a Luna, you wouldn't be leaving Fenbella Moon, but rather joining the two packs, even if you're the last one."

I stop to look between all of them, eyebrows furrowing. "As much as I appreciate this, I haven't exactly accepted your son as my mate." I see them both gape at me as Damian stiffens. "I've just," I stop, looking at my hands in my lap, where my bracelet rests comfortingly against my skin. Slowly I look up to meet all of their eyes, willing them to understand, as I drop my mask so they can truly see what I feel. "For years I've lived for others. I used to live for," my breathe hitches as the name gets stuck in my throat. "Live for someone very important to me." I finish pathetically, only to have Damian wrapping his arms around my waist whispering comforting words into my ear. "When He was taken from me, I lived for this species, trying to find anyone else like me; trying to find my old pack. But I gave up when I moved here, I wanted to finally live for me, without the pain. And as much as I think your son is amazing, he can do so much better than me." All three of them open their mouths to argue but I raise my hands slightly asking them to let me finish. "Find a girl who can fit as a Luna, someone who you know, doesn't have emotional problems." I say laughing slightly. "I'm not rejecting you Damian," I say turning to him to meet his intense pleading Grey eyed gaze. "But I am asking you to consider finding another mate better suited for you and this pack."

"Enania, the Moon Goddess paired you with me for a reason." He argues eyes fierce.

I slump my shoulders, running my hand through my hair, trying desperately to ignore the tingles I feel from his touch. "Okay okay," I sit straight and turn to face him fully. I grab his face gently, running my thumbs over his stubble. "I'll give you a month; a month to teach me of our species, teach me of my pack, teach me how to be a Luna, and if you can prove to me that I can do this... I'll give you a chance." I finish. "Don't convince me, and I'll have to leave." My voice was soft. I hear a growl and when I look back up his eyes were black. I vaguely see Janet and Rick leave.

"You aren't leaving me." He grounds out, jaw clenched.

"Then prove to me I can do this." I say eyes meeting his just as fiercely.

"And if I can't? You'll just leave me?" His hands frame my face firmly but gently, sparks shooting out under my skin. "Are you saying you can't feel this?" I scoff and pull my face out of his hands.

"Of course I can feel that; but I also feel the pain of my past everyday, constricting me. I won't let you or this pack suffer from me taking such an important role." We glare at each other for a few minutes until finally, he looks away running his hands through his hair, as he stands up; I follow, standing to at least not be so intimidated when I sit.

"I'll do it. But let me tell you right now," he spins on his heel, angry and determined face meeting my own. "I won't," he takes two steps closer, wrapping one arm around my waist pulling me flush to his chest; another arm cradling my neck and head, tangling his fingers in my hair. "Let you leave me Enania." Then he presses his lips to mine.

Damian's POV

Seeing her look so broken as she speaks about wanting to leave, wanting to give me and this pack our best shot. It made me angry, made me love how much she already cared, and sad that she thought her past would keep her from doing great things. But I know I can keep her here, I know I can show her how great she'd be. So I accept her offer, making sure to let her know I won't be letting her leave.

Which is why I am currently kissing her. Her hands had flown to my chest, initially to push me away, but turned into her gripping my white t-shirt and pulling me closer. Our breathes mingle, as I nip at her bottom lip. She gasps, back arching into my chest as my tongue sweeps in, fighting for dominance.

I tilt her head to the side, deepening the kiss showing my determination and desperation to keep her here. Her crop top rides up further as I press her impossibly closer, my splayed fingers skim her bare skin on her back. This for some reason seems to get her to push me away as if she was on fire. Her wild brown eyes filled with surprise, fear, and want, look to my own. She shakily tugs her crop top down further her chest and cheeks flushing a beautiful crimson.

"No fair Alpha." She breathes out, voice slightly husky causing a soft rumble of a purr to tumble through my lips. She jerks her head up, her eyes meeting my own again. I step closer, causing her to take a half stumbling step back. I reach out catching her, tugging her close to whisper against her ear.

"You're beautiful." My breath fans out over her skin causing her to shiver. When I pull back she's biting her lip. Her chin jerks towards the kitchen.

"Let's go help." With that she walks past me, her face still flushed making me smirk as I follow her.

I won't let her leave; she already has me wrapped around her finger, she's become my world. I'm not letting her go so easy.
