I scowl, eyes narrowing on the three body guards walking me to class. "Guys. It's in the middle of the school day. Nothing will happen to me!" I whisper yell at them.
"Anything could happen Luna." Mr. Tough Guy Numero Uno says seriously, eyes scanning the crowd of scrawny teenagers for threats.
"Oh my god. I can actually see ten members of the pack every where I go. Nothing will ha-" I'm cut off when Damian comes through the crowd, parting everyone, including my bodyguards easily.
"Of course something can happen. We need to keep a vigil eye on you. Especially if we don't know who exactly is after you." Damian's blue grey eyes lock with my own golden brown eyes.
"I thought we established it was rogues and witches?" I question, cocking my side out, my hands gripping my hips in an impatient manner.
"Anything could change. We don't know if rogues are still in the fight, hell we don't know if the Warlock Council member is still even against the Peace Vote." I frown at his words.
"Well if that's true then why would I be in danger."
"Just because a Council member changes his/her mind doesn't mean their species does." He says seriously.
"So what you're saying is, the manic group of people who wanted my dad and his family dead, is now without a leader to control them?" My voice rises slightly in pissed off fear.
"I can neither deny or confirm that. All we know is that someone, presumably the people who attacked your pack, wants you dead. We don't know the who or how. We don't know the when, and we sure as hell don't know what they exactly have in store." By this point the bell has rung. I curse and run my hands through my long hair, squeezing my eyes shut.
"We know nothing about the people trying to kill me." I ground out, before opening my eyes to meet his. "How the hell do we even know they are trying to kill me?" I challenge suddenly beyond pissed that I'm being treated as if I'm a dainty piece of glass.
"My father received words from a close friend of his that a 'rebel force is looking for the Fenbella Moon Pack heiress' that's all my father got." Damian says softly, gently grazing his knuckles along my cheek. My eyes flutter close as I take calming breaths.
"Okay, okay. We can do this. We can get around this obstacle." My voice was firm, while on the inside I'm shaking. The people who attacked and killed my family are now on to me. I survived the first attack by pure luck, no way will that happen twice.

"Come on girly! Show 'em who's boss!" Coral shouts from the side lines, munching on popcorn. I scoff, jerking my head to the side to get the fallen hair off of my face. Most of the escaped hair is stuck to my temple and forehead due to the amount of sweat all over me.
My eyes swiftly asses my opponents; two female one male. My breath escapes my body in heavy puffs, chest heaving up and down. There's a flicker of movement in the guys left foot, I quirk my lips up as I move my forearm up blocking his high kick. Quickly, I drop low swiping my foot out catching one of the advancing woman off guard making her stumble.
I hear a slight shuffle of feet behind me, making me feel a shift in the air. My foot shoots back, connecting with the man's chest. He lets out a guffaw, while my eyes watch the second woman take two small steps before launching into the air. I curse dropping to the ground as she sails over me, but this new position allows the first woman to roll on top of me. She delivers two swift blows before I rear my head up connecting my forehead with hers.
"Argh!" She cries out, her legs that previously straddled me loosen, allowing my arms to fly out. My left hand grabs the collar of her shirt to steady her while my fist swings forward. There is a sickening crack as her nose spurts blood, both our faces now bloody.
I shove her off of me before flipping up facing my the quickly approaching enemies. I quickly turn my head and spit blood out, eyes staying trained on their movements. The man growls before shifting, his clothes shred as he falls onto all fours.
"Come on big guy. Let's go." I taunt eyes flicking between the two. The woman cracks a smile before running forward I dodge her first two swings when I hear a loud growl and teeth are clamped around my leg. I let out a loud curse right as the woman's fist collides with my cheek.
Letting instinct take over I turn my back to the lesser threat, while keeping my leg from moving too much. I look to the wolf snarling as he bites down in my leg threateningly. I let out a huff before I clasp both hands together, letting out another grunt of air before slamming down on the wolf's head. He howls letting go of my leg as blood gushed out. The woman grabs my shirt swinging me right back around fist heading straight for my nose. I let out an angry growl catching her fist in my right hand while my left swings down and up connecting with her jaw.
The woman stumbles back allowing room to swing my leg up and around connecting with her temple. She falls limp to the ground groaning. I spin back around my eyes wild as they narrow in on the wolf his ears perked up, rump in the air, chest to the ground, body tensing for a leap while his lip curls up revealing sharp canines.
"Alright enough!" Growls out Damian's deep voice. The wolf immediately cowers down exposing his neck, ear flat in a submissive state.
"But she was doing so good!" Complains Coral. I laugh as I turn to face the crowd fully. There in front of me stood all the pack warriors, Coral, and all of the Nightcresent family.
"Doesn't matter. She's bleeding and obviously tired." He argues walking towards me, concern in his eyes. I wanted to train these past couple days so I could hone my skills. Turns out Damian hated watching me get hurt so this was his first time seeing me.
"In a real battle it won't matter if I'm tired or hurt." I say softly as he comes up to me, our chests lightly brush together with every breath we take.
"Good thing it's not a real battle. Now come on, we got Luna lessons to continue." He murmurs softly, his strong hand brushed my flushed sweaty cheek gently.
"I'll shower then meet you in the library." I say rolling my eyes before sidestepping him and making my way to the crowd. I lift the bottom of my t-shirt up to wipe my face clear of sweat. I hear Coral catcall whistle at my exposed toned stomach.
"Dayum! I'd tap that!" She says skipping next to me as I make my way through the crowd.
"Shut it Coral!" Damian growls behind us. I grin at his jealous tone due to Coral's words. Coral giggles setting the popcorn on the counter as we stop in the kitchen, allowing me to get a nice glass of water.
"Next week is the last week of this stupid month time limit." Coral says casually, fingers tracing circles on the counter while her eyes stay on me, gauging my reaction. I sigh, slumping my shoulders placing the now empty cup down.
"Look Coral-" I begin but she holds her hand up cutting me off.
"Are you really gonna leave? With everything we've told you?" Her black hair shifts as her head tilts, green eyes catching the soft light in the kitchen. "Are you gonna leave when you're so badly in danger that Damian has four men," she jerks her head to the side where I see the said four men standing stoically. "Watching your every move?"
"Coral honestly wouldn't it be safer if I left? I mean no longer will your pack be in danger-" once again I'm cut off.
"Don't be friggen dumb Enania." She says with a scowl. "You're our Luna, we're honored to protect you. It's our job just like it's your job to take care of us, lead us." She walks closer folding her arms and cocking her hip out.
"And taking care of you would mean leading the danger away." I state, mirroring her stance. She cocks her eyebrow.
"Oh really? Leaving your mate and pack is protecting us?" Her voice holds a challenge and even though my instinct is to put her in her place, I bite back and open my mouth to calmly reason with her. However, she cuts me off again before I can even begin. "You ran from one pack already, will you really run from this one?"
My heart stills as my body stiffens at her words. Brown eyes that once held regret for leaving now fill with sadness as her words strike me. I quickly cover up my sadness with anger as my eyes snap to meet her green ones, now filling with shock and regret.
"En-" my turn to cut her off.
"You crossed a line Coral," my words were soft, eerily calm. "Don't you ever," I step forward and even though I'm a good three inches shorter than her, she cowers exposing her neck. "Speak to me of my pack and my choices regarding them again." She whimpers, nodding as tears fill her eyes. I instantly feel bad but hold my ground even as Connor rushes in, wrapping his arms around her protectively.
"What the hell Enania?!" He snaps at me, eyes glaring down at me. My guilt dissipates as I glare right back up at him.
"Stand down." I growl out, power filling the room. Both the wolves in front of me shuffle back, sending me wide eyed stares. Coral sniffles her eyes filling with sadness.
"I'm so sorry Enania." Her soft voice fills the tension thick room.
"It's fine." I grumble out spinning on me heel and marching out of the kitchen, past the four guards, and up to the guest room where I keep a few of my things. I quickly shower before getting dressed in the spare clothes. I walk out of the room swiftly pulling my hair into a side braid as I make my way to the library for lessons.

"You know, with as much time as you spend at the Nightcresent's you'd think they're the ones fostering you." Mrs. Pots muses while she cuts the potatoes for the stew she was concocting.
"Awe I'm sorry Mrs. Pots." I say genuinely feeling bad for not spending time with her. "It's just with this whole one month business Damian is desperate to get me to stay." I say softly swirling the lemonade around in the glass cup, ice clinks against the sides as pulp floats around before sinking to the bottom.
"And will you be staying?" She asks, pausing her chopping to look up at me. I stop drawing patterns in the condensation around the cup to meet her eyes.
"I want to," I start eyes downcast. "But I'm afraid I'm not the right person for this." I swallow the lump in my throat.
"Even though I'm no wolf, I can tell you how sacred the mate bond is. How perfect mates are for each other." She starts, eyes going back down to continue her cooking. "Contrary to popular belief, mates aren't made for each other. It's actually who you grow in to be will be the perfect match for your mate; their equal in every way." I smile at her words as I take a sip of lemonade.
"You know, for a human you're pretty wise about all this." I say getting up and grabbing the carrots from the market. I begin to wash the dirt off before preparing them.
"Damn right I am." She teases while dumping the potatoes in the crockpot. I smile as for the rest of the night I cook and chat with her. For the first time in two weeks, I forget about the problems of the outside world, I forget that there are four men guarding this cabin, and I forget that next week I have to make a choice that will change my life forever.
Damian's POV
After the lesson, Enania went home. I still see her leaving every time I close my eyes. I think it's the fact that her time here is running short. She could very well try to leave, which would force me to do something that would make her hate me.
But it'd protect her and that's all the matters. I sigh running my hand through my hair as I tune back in on the conversation my father, Connor, his dad, and Robert were all having.
"Look according to my source up in Ireland Reapers are amassing, and seeming to put a bite behind their bark." Robert says his eyes finding my own. If what we've gathered is true that means,
"Not only are Rogues, Witches and Warlocks after her, but the soldiers of Death?!" I ask, rather angrily, to confirm what everyone is saying.
"Yes. There are rumors of a Dark Sorcerer, presumably the Drakka, leading the Rogues, working hand in hand with a very powerful and dangerous Reaper." My father says meeting my eyes.
"Grim. He's working with Grim isn't he?" I ground out, slamming my fist on to the table.
"Yes. The Dark Sorcerer is working with Grim Reaper." His eyes watch my flickering gaze as I struggle to contain myself.
"That's just fan-fücking-tastic ain't it?" I say sarcastically. "The two outcasts are leading an army to kill my mate all because she's the next heir for the Ninth Council Seat?!"
"Well, I don't think that's all." My dad says standing from his office chair and coming to grip my shoulders.
"What else could there be?" I ask confused as I grip the arms of my chair in an attempt to calm myself down.
"You, as well as I, know the Fenbella Moon Pack is not only a direct descendant of the first wolves, but the birth place of hybrid species." My eyes snap wide open at his words.
"She has the hybrid gene." I murmur softly. Anger pulses through my veins. Hybrids were once seen as a miracle, two different species mated together was thought to be a sign to create alliances. Fenbella Moon's Alpha mated with a Pure Elf and soon had the first Hybrid.
That child grew and grew to be one of the most powerful creatures to walk this earth. The son found his mate and had children, only the children came out either wolf of elf. Each one had the Hybrid gene, but it remained dormant. Other hybrids that began to show up had the same problem, their children came out one species or the other. That is until the gene reaches its maturity at age ten. It awoke the Hybrid's skills and power making them dangerous to those near.
Hybrids were reckless, they had a God complex, almost causing Supernatural exposure; due to this all Hybrids were hunted down and killed, including their offspring. All except the Fenbella Moon's Hybrids. They stuck to themselves and so were given the chance to live. Their gene's stayed dormant, allowing it to spread far and wide within the pack, but never once did I think that had anything to do with this.
"What does this have to do with Enania?" I ask eyes narrowing.
"She's the last one with the Hybrid gene. We're all aware that not only the Hunters will want to capture her and experiment, but her enemies will want a taste of what the Hybrid gene could mean for them."
"Enania needs to be protected at all costs." I say determined standing from my chair. "We not only have the enemies from her past resurfacing but new enemies we can't expect."
"Hey at least we can now put a face, or faces, to the enemy." Connor says looking on the bright side.
"Yeah, now all we have to do is defeat Drakka and Grim." I say dryly making him punch my shoulder.
"Lighten up, you're mate is badass, plus we won't let anything happen to her. She's got all of us in her corner." Connor nods at the guys around the table in example.
"I know that," I start but let a frown form on my face. "The question is does she know that?"
